Sign says hot and fresh, and it was lighted up. The doughtnuts were not hot and fresh. Very disappointed. I remember back in the day, Krispy Kreme was the place to go with the hot and fluffy and fresh doughnuts and now the size of the doughnuts have really have become thinner and smaller. The place was a real zoo the first couple of weeks after the grand opening. However, currently the lines have died down and donut lovers can enjoy these delights without too much of a wait. You can't go wrong with original glazed. For best tasting doughnuts, visit in the morning. The parking lot and drive thru can sometimes be congested, but lines move fairly quickly. I love Krispy Kreme. We used to go out of our way ( I mean miles) for a box of Krispy Kreme while on vacation. The KKs in Louisville Ky are fantastic! But Tucson, not so much. I've never gone when they've had what I wanted and when we order online they never get it right. If they don't have what you ordered, they replace it with their signature glazed. Not my favorite at all. I ordered a dozen Santa's for work and when they were delivered I got a dozen glazed. How disappointing. They need to call if they are out of something and ask me what I want. Wow! This place has the worst reviews... here comes another one: We tried to go in the dining room the other day. The door was locked. At that moment an employee came to the door. She decided to unlock the door so she could sarcastically point to the sign on the door. The sign said that the dining room was closed. We had missed the sign. I told her that we missed the sign and she rolled her eyes, turned her back, and locked the door. I tried to call the store but nobody would answer. I think they may have changed their recipe a bit as it doesn't taste the same or as good as it did 15 or so years ago. I wished there was a no star rating as this is what this business deserves--you have to work to deserve any type of star rating. Where is this business going? They have really gone downhill big time. Are they planning on closing the shop in Tucson or what is happening? I have been going to the Broadway location for years, but the last couple of months they are closed. There is a sign on the door that says they are open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. I usually buy donuts for my work twice a month. I usually go to work at 6 a.m. and no one was in the store and doors were locked and no lights on in the building. I went today at 7:45 to buy donuts for a going away party but the doors were locked yet again and no lights I sign still say they are open. I thought the drive-thru was open but when I went there was sign that said "Sorry, we are out of glazed donuts. But, if you buy 16 ct of mini donuts you will get a 50% off." If they are closed or shutting down their business, they need to take away the "OPEN" sign. I had to go to Dunkin' Donuts. Went to Krispy cream yesterday with my son. We walked in and got a dozen donuts. We also got some drinks. First donuts were cold and stale. One of their drinks was a watermelon slush that tasted bitter and foul like it had spoiled. My son also tasted it and said the same thing. I spoke with the manager to ask him to check the slush machine and the drink because it had tasted so bad. We ended up throwing it away immediately. This may sound strange, but this trio was my first trip to any Krispy Kreme store. That's right, this was my first donut from KK. A friend told me that I should stop by KK if their sign was ever illuminated to receive a free donut, so this is exactly what I did. It was a hot and ready simply glazed donut. This location is super dirty. There are dirty smudge marks all over the floor, straw wrappers on the counters and sprinkles on the chairs. You can tell the employees hate their jobs. They looked super irritated with us when we came in and stood very bothered. In a bored voice they asked how they could help us, exhaling. Today, we came in since they're having a limited edition winter wonderland glazed donuts. First of all, the staff who helped us named JONATHAN, was not very helpful and looked high! I arrived on a Saturday about 830. Cleanliness was a zero. There must have been some issue with the donuts because they were pulling them off the line and dropping them on the floor. There was also glaze all over the floor. Someone else mentioned their donuts were not cooked and pointed out that many of the donuts were not uniform in size. I didn't have my phone or I'd have taken photos. I can't believe they would have passed inspection, with at least 200 donuts lying on the floor, if a health inspector walked in. There was at least 12, maybe 15, crew to wait on the crowd. They seemed to be getting in each others way. The worker bee's were working, and the lazy one's were just let walking around, doing nothing. Due to this pulling the donuts off the line and throwing them on the floor issue they seemed to be running low on donuts even while the machine was producing a massive number of donuts. I waited about 15 to 20 minutes to place my order. A dozen glaced, a dozen creme filled with chocolate on top to be told I'd have to wait - they didn't have enough donuts. The line to order was pretty unorganized. Some of the staff appeared clean and well groomed - but I noticed two girls with very long hair which was left down and practically in the donuts. I also noticed two people whose uniforms seemed trashed - already. They either hadn't been washing their uniforms or been making donuts and had a mess all over them. 3 stars = average. The donuts are good, but I've had better at a grocery store in Selbyville, DE called Teeters. When I get creme filled donuts, I like the cream in every bite, not in two bites on the side of the donut where it was injected. read more
