This place is consistently amazing. The Creme filled is a go to for our family. I love the glaze base and the Boston Creme filling is amazing. I also love the huge chunk of sausage they use in the breakfast croissant sandwiches. The croissant is so buttery and good also. This is my new go too for Uber Eats breakfast delivery. I refuse to eat chain donuts now because of this place. Amazing. I had my first Yelp delivery from here!! It was $1.49 for a delivery and it was here in less than 30 mins. I ordered a bacon, egg croissant and my husband got a sausage, egg and cheese. The bacon one was 100/10. My husband said his was 9/10. His was a bit greasier probably from the sausage. The crisp on the croissant was sooo perfect. And that's that it was delivered. I really enjoyed my visit to Donut King with my daughter on her birthday. The prices are fair, and the donuts are perfectly soft. Lithe first time I had one of their donuts was at a yelp event, I was sure they had prepared those extra great just for what it was but when I stopped in their shop on an ordinary (to the world, but not to us) day, we were not disappointed! This was a special occasion and it certainly tasted this way. They have drinks available in a refrigerator, as well as hot, blended or iced coffee that they can make. I loved my iced coffee and my donut as well. My daughter enjoyed her chocolate milk as well as her sprinkled pink donut. We took some home to share with the family. They also enjoyed them. I initially went to Amy's Donuts, which understandably is closed, so then I went to Donut King on Grant & Stone. I'm glad I went there! Was out for a ride one day and craving some donuts. Decided to stop in and try this place. It was mid morning so there wasn't much left. We had a glazed raspberry filled and chocolate frosted creme filled. We also go a few ham and cheese croissants for our kids lunch. The donuts were super yummy. I was really happy with the donuts I got here! While going to some of the fancier donut places can be fun, they can also get pretty expensive, which is what originally drew me to Donut King. The prices here are very fair; I got a half dozen plus a huge ham and cheese croissant for $10, which is WAY better than the fancy donut places that charge over $2/donut. The croissant was a nice breakfast, and they heated it up for me so the cheese was nice and melty. My only complaint is that the ham and cheese could have been spread out inside the croissant more evenly (and maybe a nicer cheese could have been used, but that's partly just my personal preference), but otherwise it was good, and easily enough to keep me full till lunch. So far, I've tried the blueberry cake donut (really tasty and a good balance between dense and fluffy), the regular glazed donut (no complaints here!), and the raspberry jelly filled donut (having actual raspberry seeds in the jelly was much appreciated, and it wasn't overly sweet). They are only open half the day, so come early. There are a few extra items on the menu, like iced coffees. Tried one... very good. I wish more people would patronize business like this over the big chains. These people actually care about their customers and are gracious. I did a decent sized order of 4 dozen donuts/pastries and some assorted drinks. They took the time to make conversation with me, ask how everything should be packaged, and even helped carry the order to the car. Donut King is a classic family-owned donut shop. I popped in to place large order of ten dozen donuts for an upcoming event. The donuts here are fresh, folks! The baker comes in late at night and bakes through the morning, as it should be done! Go to Donut King for the classics- cake donuts and glazed. They also have cinnamon rolls, fritters and a few other non-donut items in addition to coffee and soft drinks. The owner is super friendly and helped me pick the donuts for my order. He even sent me home with one of each to make sure I tasted all 5 flavors, which was totally unexpected but a really nice touch. My top three favorites are the plain glazed, strawberry and cinnamon sugar, but they really were all delicious and super fluffy. The best part? They don't taste like old fryer oil, which I've experienced at other donut shops. If you frequently buy goodies for your office or groups this is a great spot to add to your list! read more

If I could describe the donut I just ate in one word it would be absolutelyfreakingdelicious! They have the typical donut store varieties but I choose a yellow cake with chocolate icing with nuts on top. On first bite I thought to myself "wow this is really good." After I scarfed down the whole thing (in the car), I was actually considering turning around and going back to pick up more. But alas traffic made my decision for me. We are not from the area, but are passing through and craving decent donuts. We were impressed with the Yelp Reviews and rating for this establishment so we gave it a try. The basics: The business location is placed in one of the busier parts of town, but although the establishment itself is nothing to look at in terms of being new or fancy, it has some perks. First of all, it does have plenty of parking space available and second but not the least, it has a convenient drive through. The staff (may even be the owner) was prompt and courteous. The order: Glazed donut, Sugar donut, Chocolate donut, and Donut Holes. The donuts were soft, fluffy, and not overpoweringly sweet (think Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts sweet). Unfortunately, they didn't have French Crueler. Overall, our experience was pretty good given the basics they offer, which is freshly baked donuts that aren't heavy, hard/dense, or too sweet. Other Yelpers wrote they have pretty good iced coffee here as well so that will be a next order! FYI - We have been here in the Tucson area since March and should be leaving soon. Since our stay, we have mostly been sheltering in place, but on occasion do place orders for pick up or to go. Of all the places we've been to, we have not been able to write a Yelp review until now; therefore, the numerous Yelp reviews written in the past hour or so is simply due to us being able to actually take the time to write them. This is not a fake account or review and we simply provide our reviews based on OUR experience and taste buds/preference (same as other Yelpers).
