They had three special superhero donuts so I chose the Superman one because I was going to see the new movie that just came out. I made the donut into a mini birthday cake and shared with my mom. It tasted good but the filling inside was too rich. I think maybe the Wonder Woman donut would have tasted better and as good as it looked. I miss the old full scale proof to glaze setup but this has a "mini" warm and glaze setup but only as a look of nostalgia. Always friendly staff and fresh donuts! This busy yet well organized location is always a great visit. Keep an eye on their Instagram to see what fun new donuts they have. Alright. I'm not this giant doughnut lover. I can't even say that every time I go here I even have one. It's like this nice modern go to spot I tend to hit when I'm in the area. It's become a habit. I almost always get a cup of their drip coffee and on the odd occasion an original glaze doughnut. Coffee is fine for a standard drip in the evening. Have to say that little pastry tastes fresh, soft and fluffy. I can see why people sit down and order a box and inhale it. It is pretty good - better than Tim Hortons in my head. It's been years since we've been in a Krispy Kreme store so it was great to go in one when we were on the area yesterday. For those of you who don't know, Krispy Kreme pretty much was regulated to boxed original glazed doughnuts in Costco's and Walmart's in Canada. They had a disastrous end which saw bankruptcy close almost every store in the Toronto area a decade ago but are slowly and surely rebranding themselves in the Toronto area. They've expanded their menu beyond just original glazed doughnuts and have added a ton of new varieties, muffins, specialty coffee and drinks. They've really done an amazing job at rebranding themselves and are once again expanding. Based on the line up of people today in this store I can really see themselves to be a serious competitor to the current Canadian doughnut king, Tim Hortons Solid 4 out of 5 for some solid doughnuts. read more

A stop to DonutLand!!! The last time I had a donut was forever and I knew I wanted some good donuts! What's better than Krispy Kreme?! The last time I visited Krispy Kreme which was over 5 years ago that location only made and sold mainly their original glazed which was the winner! After that I never step foot to any Krispy Kreme. I was pleasantly surprised with the concept of a more comfort appeal whereas before it felt more like a factory. I am digging this place just from the modern/comfort appeal. We ordered the orginal glazed and cookie donut! Original glazed was just as delicious as I ordered it 5 years ago. The soft & fluffy texture with the sugar coat was delightfully satisfying. The only thing missing was to warm up the donut, if it was warm... it will definitely kick it up a notch! 4.5/5 Cookie donut- We got a chance to try their "featured" donut which the cashier described as cookie dough infused cream in the middle. The filling was more of a sticky marshmallow texture. The huge cookie on top of this donut with the chocolate glazed with the yummy filling really worked well together!! I love it! 5/5 Krispy Kreme really changed a lot since the last time I visited them but one thing didn't change is their donuts are still sooo good! It was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon a Krispy Kreme in Chinatown. A bit out of place when you look at the other Asian establishments left, right, front, and center but it's brand recognition was able to drag my lazy feet to it's door. This Krispy Kreme has a healthy (hah!) selection of doughnuts as well as other items such as croissants, kruffins (Krispy Kreme muffins), strudels, muffins, and bagels. They have friendly staff and quite a few tables for customers to enjoy their sweets. The cafe has a retro vibe as well. I was thoroughly impressed with the cleaniliness of the washroom(s) but it may be because the establishment opened 1.5 months ago. I'm sure you're dying to know what I ordered. Really cute shop at the intersection in Chinatown. Right when you step into the store, you will see the donut showcase right away. My friend and I came here just after closing time, not knowing the hours and right when we opened the door, one of them said that we were closed. But the same person asked us if we were just here to buy donuts and we said yes so they allowed is to do so. That was really nice of them to do that even though there were done with customers for the day. I do frequent this location for donuts when I don't feel like having donuts from Tim's. I stick with the original glazed as it comes with enough coating and it doesn't taste as sweet as the other donuts. read more

Came here on Tuesday around 9pm as there was no line up. I always wanted to get something from here but there was always a line up and they limit 2 person at a time here. Well they had a full selection to choose from. Got a few to try they were $1.50ish a piece. The doughnuts are AMAZING-ly good and tasty. The oreo with cream inside was DELIsH. The maple one was a bit too sweet but good nonetheless. The service was also EXCELLENT. Also got their iced coffee and it was pretty good too. Drinking that and eating doughnuts goes well together. Everything I was hoping it would be! One of my favourite memories as a child was going to Krispy Kreme in my town and ordering an original glazed doughnut. It was amazing and this location surely lived up to my expectations. The location is cozy with a few seating areas where you could do some work on your laptop or meet a friend. The decor is nostalgic and the staff were very nice. The doughnuts were moderately priced and scrumptious. I ordered an original glazed doughnut and a medium coffee. It was worth every bite. Served hot, these donuts were everything I remembered from my childhood. They are a bit oily, but still good. There is a display counter with a ton of donuts to select from. Even when we went after dinner around 8 PM there was still a large number of donuts left to choose from. We got the original donut, and they heated it up in the mini oven before giving it to us. This café also serve coffee, as well as other cold and hot beverages. I'd recommend coming here for a dessert run or afternoon coffee. It's conveniently located on Spadina, close to Chinatown and Kensington Market. I think it's a great place to get some treats for a party or even the office. I managed not to drool lol. How fresh were these doughnuts? They were so fresh that I arrived at 4:00pm when a delivery was being brought into the store from the Mississauga factory store. One bite into each doughnut told me those doughnuts were made fresh same day in the morning. This was Krispy Kreme fresh doughnuts versus Tim Hortons "always fresh" frozen doughnuts, which are reheated up in the store. Krispy Kreme is the winner for the best tasting doughnuts at an affordable price. $5.20 for one doughnut at some high end bakery is definitely not affordable! I ordered 6 doughnuts and got a free Original Glazed. Until February 28, 2017, you get a free Original Glazed when you order any sized coffee. Original Glazed - Soft, light, airy, not too sweet, melts in your mouth Glazed Chocolate Cake - is OK, but not one of my favourites Triple Chocolate - Chocolate filling and more chocolate on top. Not too sweet. One of my favourites. Cinnamon Apple Filled - I did my impersonation of Ariana Grande licking the cinnamon off the doughnut lol. One of my favorites. No, not her, the doughnut lol. Caramel Kreme Crunch - Comes with crushed pieces of toffee sprinkled on top with some other stuff. Caramel filling is a little bit more sweet than the other fillings in other doughnuts. Glazed Lemon Filled - Lemon filling with icing all around doughnut. Nice taste and not too sweet. One of my favourites. Apple Fritter - Cost extra $0.25. Flattened version of what Tim Hortons sells. Icing on one side only. One of my favorites. All these doughnuts were delicious and not too sweet for me. Kreme Kreme serves regular coffee and dark roast coffee. I ordered a small dark roast black. It had a strong taste, but not like Starbucks strong taste. When Krispy Kreme first opened for business in Canada in 2001, I stopped buying their doughnuts after a while because their doughnuts were too sweet for me. Today, Krispy Kreme has new franchise owners in Canada. They must be putting less sugar in their doughnuts because I couldn't stop eating all 7 doughnuts in the store. I didn't get sick! I hope Krispy Kreme in Canada is more successful the second time around. I will support their business if I am near their locations. read more

the doughnuts here are very good, but lately this location has been overwhelmingly packed with people, in line and taking up seats, im a fan of the product for sure but the line up is something that makes me not want to stop at this location. the staff are great and in a really great mood all the time, and breathing in that sweet sweet sugar, I imagine it would have that effect on anyone. parking is available on the streets and in above and below lots. transit options are the 510 spadina directly, with the 505 Dundas and 506 college being options with some walking. would definitely check out if you are in the area/neighborhood. read more

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts just launched their new cafe around Spadina and Nassau yesterday. Their big debut was their one of a kind oven that serves hot Krispy Kreme doughnuts round the clock. I tried the original flavour, the strawberry shortcake and the cherry flavoured donuts. The original was definitely my favourite. The strawberry shortcake was pretty good as well. They also serve coffee and other beverages. I tried their mocha chiller. It tasted like any other iced mocha drink, nothing special but it wasn't bad either. As for the cafe itself, it resembles a retro themed donut shop. read more
