Newly opened donut shop in parkdale with a focus on cake donuts except their apple fritters. My friend got the hot cocoa and I tried the apple fritter and the apple fritter was my favourite. Small take out spot and FYI cash or debit only!

I hadn't heard of Maverick's Donut Company, but when I heard that they specialize in cake donuts, I was extremely intrigued. We showed up around 1:00 on a recent Saturday and I was immediately surprised by how small the place is. There's probably enough room in there for four customers to stand comfortably, but that didn't matter since the place was empty anyway. We decided to get a pack of six donuts, including the Double Chocolate ("Chocolate Cake Donut dunked in Chocolate Dip"), Lemon Ricotta ("Vanilla Cake Donut dipped in a lemon glaze, and topped with a zested lemon and ricotta topping"), the Maple Bacon ("Vanilla Cake Donut dunked in maple dip and sprinkled with real bacon chunks"), and the Pecan Pie ("Vanilla cake donut, dipped in milk chocolate glaze, covered with Pecans and drizzled with a toffee glaze"). First of all, these are amazing donuts to just look at. They've obviously been made with plenty of care. And thankfully, they taste as good as they look. They're all so flavorful and delicious, and the cake donut itself is just about perfect. I think my personal favorite was the Lemon Ricotta, but they're all excellent. Maverick's is a welcome addition to the Parkdale neighborhood, and I'm sure I'll be returning soon.

Pineapple Fritters! Yowzah these are good!

Maverik's Parkdale is not your average doughnut shop. With a genuine great friendly and engaging greeting it was off to an amazing start. The product quality is off the charts good. These are by far the best fritters in Toronto and I've had them all. Don't shy away from the marvelous real fruit fritters such as the Pineapple or Mango. Creative and expertly curated deserts at this location deserves your attention and business. Located in the old CICI's Pizza shop they are a new shining star on Queen St W and Roncesvalles.

Insanely good donuts. We tried the lemon ricotta, Boston's cream, coco Ferraro, wild berry, and coconut banana cream pie. Not a single miss. Make sure you try this place!

The donuts which clearly has many imperfections and also screenshots of our conversation!

The Short Version: California style donuts, big and fluffy…read more I'm a fan. The Long Version: So Harry and Heels is a donut shop inside the Fourth Man in the Fire Pizzeria. The founder is the same (he's also the founder of the Burger's Priest). Their donuts are also available at Farm Boy, even as far east as Ottawa, which is actually where I tried them (since sadly the last time I was in Toronto, was before the business was founded). I tried the Chocolate Cream Filled ($3.99) which is a big fluffy yeast donut with chocolate on top and is filled with whipped cream. It's like a round eclair, lol. The layer of chocolate was thick, which I liked. The amount of whipped cream inside was also good, not stingy. These donuts are big and substantial, yet so soft. I'm a fan. I'm looking forward to trying other flavours, likely just at Farm Boy for the near future, but hopefully at their store in Toronto in the not too distant future. Review #3 (2026)

As someone who lived in California for 4 years, I will say these are better than the donuts I had there. We only tried the Apple Fritter which isn't usually my go-to but I'm very glad we tried it. It's crisp and sweet on the outside yet unbelievably soft and fluffy on the inside! The apple flavor is mild and could be a bit more pronounced, in my opinion. It's super airy and less dense than I expected which made this so easy to inhale. It didn't even make it out the door! Super friendly staff and tasty donuts!

There's something tempting about donuts…read more Unholy Donuts was founded during COVID shutdowns when the dipped donut craze hit the city. At that point, its humble start was inside a midtown restaurant for dessert takeout. Fast forward to now, they have three spots across Toronto including downtown which you can't miss with its colourful baby blue & pink exterior. Inside they specialize in brioche donuts that are all dressed up in a variety of flavours ranging from Nutella bomb to pistachio to Homer's favorite raspberry lemon! On the one hand the donuts are expensive starting around $6, on the other they are quite large and eye-pleasing for a unique treat and a hefty sweet bite at that. We picked up six donuts to go after a meal. This bakeshop demonstrates the power of social media in creating buzz across the neighbourhood. I see they're now up to 24 flavours. Perfect timing and novelty wins in this donut-obsessed city. Skip it or hit it? If you're willing to shell out for treats like BBT, there's no reason not to give artisanal donuts a try at least once.

Though they do have the standard flavours which they keep. Service: There is usually two people working here to fulfill the orders. Usually a guy and a girl. They have both been friendly & nice to me. Is it because I'm a repeat customer? LOL. Maybe. Anyway I think if you're nice to people you will get the same back. Ambiance: This is a small location so there isn't much ambiance to the place. It's meant as a place to pick up the food & go. Still, the location serves its purpose & it always looks clean & neat. I keep coming back because I'm addicted to mochi donuts. LOL

Run here ASAP! My…read morefriends and I stumbled upon this gem while exploring Toronto -- and what a find! They had just opened, and the moment we walked in, we were hit with the incredible aroma of fresh donuts. The selection was overwhelming (in the best way), and I wanted to try every single one. We started with the crème brûlée, pistachio, and Nutella donuts. I inhaled the pistachio one the second we stepped outside -- it was heavenly. We savored the other two throughout the day, and they were just as amazing. It was so good, we had to come back before closing and grabbed six more. Totally worth it. Each donut is $6.50 CAD (about $4.64 USD), and every bite is worth every cent. If you're in Toronto and love donuts, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Highly, highly recommend!

Everything was fresh... they were still making donuts in the back. We opted for a black forest cherry donut and it tasted just like the dessert! This donut was filled with a delightful chocolate cream and had all the toppings. We would certainly go again! FYI... There is no place to eat the donut inside.
