Krispy Kreme is by far my favourite coffee and donut shop. This location is not too far from Kensington market, which means I go there pretty frequently. I went recently with my wife. I ended up getting their black coffee. My wife got their hot chocolate, and both were amazing. I've always loved their coffee but this was my first time tasting the hot chocolate. It wasn't too sweet and it was the perfect level of thickness The spacing inside is quite small with only a few tables, but I believe this is more of a grab-and-go location. The employees are very nice and patient as you think about which donut you want to get. This will always be my go-to shop whenever I'm in the city. read more

Even the news channels have Tim Horton's mugs on their desk when broadcasting the morning news. I had a hunker for some Krispy Kreme donuts and when the app allowed me to order a dozen mixed, they did not disappoint. I am not as a big a fan of the filled donuts whether it's cream filled, custard filled or jelly filled. Wait, the jelly filled was good just messy. My favorite are the glazed with the chocolate on it. I could eat a dozen of those all by myself (hey, don't judge me, you would do the same...lol). As you can see in the picture, these were boxed, driven and delivered and they maintained their appearance and structural integrity. I was quite impressed. They're usually very fresh and unique compared to donuts you'd get at other Toronto chains like Tim Horton's. I think the interior layout and ambiance could be better to attract people to spend more time in the restaurant as it's not somewhere I'd meet a friend to sit in for a half hour or spend a couple hours to do some work on my laptop. DID YA HEAR?! Krispy Kreme and Oreo collaborated for the creation of a new glaze? On top, we have the OREO COOKIE GLAZED DOUGHNUT and on the bottom is the OREO COOKIE OVER-THE-TOP DOUGHNUT. The former is an original glazed doughnut covered in Oreo cookie glaze, filled with cookies and kreme, and finished with an icing drizzle and Oreo cookie pieces; while the latter is an Oreo cookie glazed doughnut topped with cookies and kreme filling, drizzled with chocolate icing and finished with an Oreo cookie wafer. Surprisingly, these were NOT as sweet as they sound, which was unexpected since their Oreo Cookies n' Kreme doughnut is quite sweet! I enjoyed the cookie over-the-top because it added an extra component to the overall texture, but I found that the kreme was not adequate, or rather, unevenly distributed. On the other hand, the glazed version could have used more cookie crumbs but the filling was very well spread throughout. For this reason, their ratings balance out to both sitting at 4.7 out of 5.0 stars. I tried out Krispy Kreme's MONSTER BATCH Halloween Special donuts, and they are the perfect treat to grab for halloween parties or big group gatherings. Cake Batter Monster, Mummy Monster and Slime Monster. Kids would love them because they also have fillings piped inside as well (except for Mummy). But don't me wrong, dense just means there more to every bite and every bite is more rich! The apple fritter tasted like a real apple fritter. Some people like this donut toasted slightly but some people don't mind eating it cold or at room temperature. Both are awesome for me! There is absolutely nothing wrong with Krispy Kreme. It is cheap, beyond delicious, decor is nice, location is great. Good air conditioning, nice staff, great donuts, tv, ah... Heaven. It is also very close to UofT and exam centre (yes, I had this place. And yes, for those people who don't go to UofT, this exam centre looks exactly like a prison from the outside and inside). This is the only location that seems most easily accessible from St. Patrick station. I've been here a few times and this Krispy Kreme makes up for much brighter alternative to Tim Hortons. This place was a wonderful find around fall of 2015 and I often try get my alternative donut fix here whenever I can. The donuts are just as good as their more renowned Canadian counter-part but the coffee is a bit weak. Maybe it will taste stronger if I get a small. Still, if I don't to want to wait in-line for too long and be able to go into a quiet place just to get some donuts, I'll be coming here. read more
