I went to Krispy Kreme on Mother's Day to get donuts for my mom, and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had at a drive-thru. I first got out to go inside, but the doors were locked and there was a sign saying drive-thru only. So I got back in the car and went through the drive-thru. There was one car in front of me, and when I pulled up to the speaker, I kept saying "hello?" multiple times and nobody answered. I waited for quite a while thinking maybe the speaker was broken. The car in front of me ended up leaving without donuts, which should've been my first sign. I finally pulled up to the window because no one was responding, and after being ignored for even longer, an older employee came to the window with a horrible attitude immediately telling me I had to order at the speaker and go back around. I explained that I DID stop at the speaker and nobody answered me, but she kept talking over me instead of listening. At that point I was so frustrated that I just told my dad to leave. Then suddenly as we were pulling away she asked, "I'd be more than happy to help you" Seriously? She knew she f***** up and was rude for no reason This isn't even the first bad experience I've had at this location. Every time I come here it's empty, and honestly I can see why. The customer service is awful and the employees act like helping customers is a problem. My mom loves krispy kreme and she was visiting from out of town. My last stop in was their first day of their Harry Potter doughnuts and I was excited. I loved all Harry Potter movies. Yesterday was their first day of their Halloween themed ones. I told the lady we had to stop meeting this way. My nephews love krispy kreme, so when I go and visit with my youngest we bring a dozen for our brunch. This is our only one in town and I'm so glad it isn't too far from me. It always smells good and kept clean. The employees on most occasions are helpful and friendly. In the dozens of times I've been in, there was only one time that sticks out in my mind that was bad customer service and it was two teenie boopers. Tip: Do there survey especially if you intend on buying a dozen. You'll be able to take a hot glazed dozen home with that code. I was pretty disappointed when I took my family here. I am originally from Las Vegas and we have a bunch of Krispy Kreme location but, unfortunately Reno only has one. Anyways, when we visited this location, I was pretty disappointed by the service and the donuts. The workers didn't seemed to be too thrilled to be there and when I tried to ask them a couple questions, they acted very annoyed. We got a dozen and a couple mini donuts. Pulled up to the drive-thru this Sunday morning to grab some donuts and iced coffee. We were greeted with over 5 minutes of silence, finally followed by, "Welcome to Krispy Kreme, please hold." After another few minutes, we were finally able to order. We asked for two pumpkin spice iced coffees, but the lady said they didn't have pumpkin spice, so we changed it to two vanilla iced coffees. We also ordered three donuts. When we got to the drive-thru window, the lady handed me a small box with three donuts and two coffees in hot cups. I mentioned we had asked for iced coffee, and she insisted these were iced. In reality, they weren't the actual iced coffee product--they were hot coffees with ice added. The donuts seemed older, dry, and not fresh. Overall, the experience wasn't great, and I'd prefer a refund. When I first pulled up to Krispy Kreme, my heart was set on those magical Harry Potter donuts. I asked about the Gryffindor and the Sorting Hat, and at first they told me they were out. My soul almost left my body right then and there. BUT THEN -- out of the back, like a scene straight out of a movie, walked Roberta. This woman was not just an employee, she was a LEGEND. A HERO. A STRAIGHT-UP DONUT GODDESS. She looked at me, saw the desperation in my eyes, and said, "Don't worry, I got you." And just like that, she made the impossible happen. We just moved here from CA and I was craving some glazed donuts, so decided to make the drive out to Sparks. I had seen the prepackaged donuts at the grocery store, but my husband insisted it would be better from the actual location (should be fresher). It was empty inside which was a shocker... the Krispy Kreme's in LA are always packed and pumping out fresh donuts non-stop. This place looked dead. There wasn't anyone inside and the donut machine thing wasn't on... but I guess that isn't a bad thing... no wait, right? The donuts in the display looked so sad and old. They don't even coat the chocolate covered donuts evenly... they have small blobs of chocolate on them. My husband and I got some plain glazed and the chocolate ones with the white filling and they were both stale and gross. It tasted like the donuts had been there for ages. Very disappointing. Management needs to do something to take care of this issue. I ordered 2 dozen glazed donuts for my Mother this morning that recently moved into a senior living facility in Reno. She has had a terrible time finding her beloved donuts during her shopping trips and so I decided to call the Sparks bakery and have them delivered. The first attempt did not make it to her facility. I called the Krispy Kreme bakery in Sparks and they gladly sent out another 2 dozen. No charge, and no extra fees for the second batch! First time at this Krispy Kreme! We live in Downtown Reno so this location is quite the drive. Got one dozen glazed and half dozen of mixed. The selection were pretty good and they have all the new flavors!!! The half dozen mix included strawberries creme and key lime pie among classic flavors. The customer service was excellent despite that their scanner wasn't working and I wasn't able to collect points. But hey, my one dozen glazed was complimentary for my birthday so no complaints here about missing out on some points :) Will definitely be back to try other limited time flavors! read more

The donuts were dry and not the same as they used to be. But that isn't my big complaint. You'll see my complaint in the photos. I did a pickup order through the app. Screenshot is what I ordered, other picture is what I received. 1. I walked in and said "I'm here for a pickup for (enter name here)" and she said "oh, we just got it, let me get it ready for you. I thought, that's odd given I ordered it on the app, an hour ago before the pickup time and I arrived right at the 3:00 scheduled time. I specifically ordered it earlier to hopefully prevent any of the donuts being sold out. I thought, whatever just pack it up and let's move on. I did a pick up so it would be quick. 2. She packed the box low to the ground where I could not see anything being put in there so I assumed she knew what needing going in there and I just spent time looking around. She also did it really fast, like noticeably rushing which I thought was odd. 3. She sealed it without showing it to me. Later it dawned on me after opening the box that she might have thought I was a delivery driver which is why she didn't let me see what she had done. 4. I was already annoyed that I paid over $20 for donuts and didn't even get the cute box (first world problem, I'm aware). But I was super annoyed when I saw the inside. I understand with things like this it won't always look like the advertised but this is beyond embarrassing for you. Your employees should have boxed it in a timely manner. You had an hour to box 12 donuts. But unfortunately, that was not the case. So what I assume, is that you were out of the other donuts. Okay, that sucks but there was another solution. What a world of difference four months can make. If you came here back when they first opened, you'll remember the mad house it was. The line for the drive through stretched across the street into the next parking lot and the interior line stretched outside the door on most days. Today, we hit the drive through without anybody in front of or behind us. Insane! Lol. It was so exciting when Krispy Kreme finally reopened in the Reno/Sparks area! You never realize how much you miss something until it's gone! I'm 100% a Krispy Kreme purist. While I've tried the cute seasonal donuts like the Halloween and Christmas ones, I go to Krispy Kreme for a dozen of their original glazed donuts. Unlike your traditional donut shop big, fluffy, raised donuts, I always describe these to first timers as a little melt-in-your-mouth donut. To me they really do taste like marshmallows and they practically dissolve. There's so many ways to order from walking in, drive thru, or even getting them delivered. They had strawberry, chocolate, whole, banana, and orange flavored milk??? While I wished I could try them all, for this visit I went with the strawberry and NO regrets! The company that could go down as the greatest chain shoppe donut of all time has found a new location in Sparks. Welcome Krispy Kreme. Average wait is over one hour, depending. If you're new to these treasures, they truly are amazing. Maybe worth waiting an hour of two. I can tell you we're getting two dozen (easy people, some are for our neighbors down south). The only downfall is the creme filled donuts. Custard or kreme have very little filling. Disappointing. The Lemon and the Raspberry were filled more to my greedy liking! There is security in the lot to direct traffic. A line extending out the front door and the drive thru is wrapped around three intersections. I feel the sugar rush is worth it! Keep in mind there's more than just donuts. The coffees, frappes, lattes and espressos are a nice compliment, too. If you prefer, try a fountain drink, soda or hot chocolate. So happy to have a Krispy Kreme in the Reno/Sparks area again. The store is open, bright, and always clean. Every interaction I've had with staff in store or in the drive-thru has always been pleasant. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I came on opening day back in 2021 and stood in line at 5am. That was the busiest I had seen it. The past few times I've been back, service has always been quick and easy. I'm always down for glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme and these have always been fresh and tasty. My other favorite is when they have their Key Lime Pie - highly recommend if you haven' tried it. read more
