Located conveniently near the NJ Transit tracks, there is a monitor to order from on one side, but I still wanted to order from a person. I was currently on vacation in New York, and my experience at this Krispy Kreme was absolutely ruined by the miserable, hostile staff. Management needs to look into this immediately and take disciplinary action, because the people working here are a disgrace to the brand. First, a woman who appeared to be a supervisor was publicly humiliating another employee (I think his name was Jeremiah), snapping at him and yelling, "What don't you understand?" in a completely toxic, rude tone right in front of couple customers. But the worst part was the woman who took my order. She wasn't wearing a name tag. Or. Maybe I didn't see it, but she is short, a little chubby, African American with a horrible attitude so ghetto, and she was wearing a pink shirt. I made an honest mistake regarding the birthday coupon rules, but her reaction was completely unacceptable. She was incredibly hostile, aggressive, and treated me with absolute disdain. When I ordered two chocolates and one glazed donut, she rolled her eyes and acted like doing her job was a massive burden. She was loud, trashy, and completely disrespectful. She clearly hates her job and has zero customer service skills. She shouldn't be employed here, period. One can never forget their first time and neither can I. Reminiscing about the first time I bit into a hot fresh out the oven sticky glazed donut, I just knew I had to find the nearest Krispy Kreme. Krispy Creme has always been my "go to" for donuts. It's too bad they don't have any local places. Unfortunately, they got a bad rap years ago and closed a lot of there locations. Happily they left the one in Penn Station. Being there recently I took advantage a bought a "Chocolate Custard filled and a coffee for the train ride home. The shop is just a take out place so there is no place to sit down and eat. I mean, it's Penn Station, there is always some place to sit down, just not here. Donuts are really fresh and tasty. Great chocolate and custard. I mean, it was a great train ride home. These are not calorie free and while I recommend they they aren't eaten daily, it is definitely worth the calories for an occasional treat. They have a hug selection of donuts here. I honestly do not know if they're cooked in the back or they get a delivery daily. I certainly recommend that if you're a donut eater, you try one. They're good.
