Love that this was open so late for those of us waiting for our trains home after a night out. Also got a free glazed donut (not pictured) with my chocolate donut, I'm assuming because they were about to close? But very nice of them! There were not a lot of options left since it was so late but the menu mentioned alot of options for those with dietary restrictions which is nice! I got the Brooklyn blackout donut which was good, I'm sure people who love dark chocolate would like it a bit more since it had that dark bitterness to it but still a good donut for an almost midnight snack!

***MUST BE EATEN FRESH*** I remember when Doughnut Plant first came out and the PBJ one was all the rage over ten years ago. I think it's still the best one, but the vanilla with jelly is a close second. The doughnuts are very good. Some more than others, but that's expected and a matter of preference.

Small Counter in the dining area at Grand Central Station. Went on a weekend morning (Saturday, and because I loved the donuts so, Sunday too) and there wasn't much of a line. Great coffee. The crème brulee donut (individually bruleed!) was the best I've ever had. The sourdough donuts are unique and delicious. Sad to leave the City.

Box of four to sample. Rankings: 1. Pumpkin Pie (surprising placing actually, not crazy about pumpkin) 2. Carrot Cake 3. Tres Leches 4. Oatmeal All good donuts, based on the name, these are DOUGHnuts. All cake. All very sweet. Couldn't eat the full four at once, but fun to try. If going for a full, just recommend getting one.

The tres leches donut here is to die for. TO DIE FOR. It is so good. It's a cake donut that isn't dry at all but is cakey and fluffy with a slightly crunchy exterior. Tastes super milky with a tad sweetness probably similar to condensed milk. I LOVE IT! Just a stand in the food hall in GCT for this location.

There wasn't a long line on a Friday morning. I got the pistachio donut. It doesn't like pistachio, but it was a glazed donut with bits of pistachios. I also liked that it was flakey and wasn't too sweet from my perspective. It wasn't that greasy either!

Whenever I'm in NYC and passing through Grand Central, I make sure to stop by Doughnut Plant in the food concourse. Their doughnuts and coffee and consistently delicious. So many different flavors, and great seasonal offerings as well. There are also several vegan options. Service has always been fast and friendly no matter how busy they are. Definitely check them out for a sweet treat!

Having multiple Doughnut Plant locations is like a dream come true. These are some of my favorite doughnuts in NYC. Super-friendly staff. Great cold brew. Vegan options available. To get to the food hall at Grand Central, if you're mobility-challenged, there is an elevator located at the back of the ground level. It was a little tricky to locate.

The donut spot is located on the main dining concourse of Grand Central. There were so many to choose from and I like how they cycle out different flavors. The donuts all looked great but were very standard donuts. We tried two of the flavors and were a bit let down.

We got four donuts. The pecan, PB&J, pumpkin pie, and blueberry. 3/4 were phenomenal! The blueberry was like a very heavy more cake than donut type texture and flavor was really light. While blueberry let us down the other three flavors were fantastic! They taste exactly like their name and were light and flavorful and worth a second trip. We were greeted quickly and both guys at the counter were really kind and helped us pick a couple flavors.

Doughnut plant will forever be one of my favorite doughnut shops! I'm still sad about the location on 23rd that closed down years ago. The doughnut flavors are bomb. My favorites are the tres leche and the black and white. The doughnuts are also not too sweet and not too doughy or dry. This time I placed an order for pick up and my order was ready the staff was friendly.

Doughnut Plant is a doughnut counter in Grand Central Terminal's lower level dining concourse. They offer several doughnut options, including some vegan options, so it's a good option for a morning bite (not all of the stands and counters in the terminal are open for breakfast). I had a pistachio cake doughnut, which I enjoyed! Not a bad option for breakfast if you're in Grand Central.

I came here specifically for the donut that matches the ceiling Zodiac Ceiling - and loved it! For those of you less familiar: Doughnut Plant has created a donut w/ icing that has been color-matched to near perfection to the Zodiac Ceiling. I've never had a food that was made to match the architectural style of the building it's housed in before! Though this cool donut definitely derailed a deeper assessment on their other offerings, I tried a few other donut flavors too. I can vouch for the carrot cake, wild blueberry, raspberry cake and red velvet donuts.

I needed a sweet pick-me-up after missing a train home. While the ice cream flavors looked interesting, I opted for a blue coconut iced matcha latte instead. They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y. I look forward to trying other donuts and sweets from Bear Donut in the future!

In fact, I work so close and the donuts are so good that I have now become a regular at The Donut Pub. I normally get two donuts, and have been exploring the types of donuts. So far I've had the chocolate dipper, double chocolate dipper, Brooklyn creme, vanilla creme, strawberry creme and Boston creme. They never disappoint. All of the staff members are efficient and sweet, even when the shop is busy. Even if there's a line or they are making a bunch of orders, their service is consistently extremely fast without sacrificing quality. Their matcha latte and regular coffee latte are also pretty good. The cups are adorable. The interior is the old diner from back in the 90s style, and surprisingly they have a decent amount of seating considering how small the establishment is. Run, don't walk! (You might feel like you should run off the calories if you try the food but I personally feel like the donuts are worth it)

The problem with massive strawberries is eating them. If I had a knife, I could cut them into smaller pieces as eating them on a skewer stick got really messy. Also the strawberry itself overpowered any of the chocolate taste, so it didn't balance well in terms of taste. For sure favored the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.

Filled donuts are bursting at the seams with custard that tastes like egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla and little else. The orange cream cheese donut is generously frosted with, I'd guess, a mixture of cream cheese, marmalade, powdered sugar, and cream. Based on what we've tried, the donuts at Caroline's are old fashioned, unadulterated and excellent. I recently picked up four donuts for the fambly: the aforementioned orange cream cheese, creme brulee, Boston cream, and raspberry glaze donuts. This was in the afternoon around 4 p.m. and all of them were perfectly, wondrously fresh. The person at the counter (the male proprietor, I think) assured me in his charming French accent that they freshly fry donuts several times a day. Creme brulee was the fan favorite with the hard, crisp, sugar shell on top cracking delicately under a knife to reveal a loose, rich, custardy filling. But across the board, donuts were beautifully made (both aesthetic and delicious!), and well frosted / glazed / filled. The raspberry glaze by itself was a touch too sweet for our tastes, but applied with restraint so the overall effect was balanced. We are not in the donut market very often, but have had this place bookmarked ever since my esteemed Yelp colleague, Alan S., reviewed it last year. Now that we've tried these beauties, I think we're going to find many excuses to be back (e.g. for Hannukah sufganiyot, anything round for Lunar New Year, anything fried for Diwali, anything that can support a candle for birthdays, etc...).We really like this place and we suspect you will, too.

The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet. The dough is light and fluffy and generously coated with granulated sugar. What a treat!
