Highly recommend! I actually didn't visit the bakery itself but was gifted a Meyer lemon bun from our friendly server on the restaurant side of Greywind. I also had the house-made cheez-its, which I learned come from the bakery. Even a day later, the lemon bun was sooo good: Soft and yeasty with a light sugar crunch on top and filled with a tart lemony custard. The cheez-its were amazing. Not only are they much bigger than the store-bought version, they also taste even better. The cheese tastes oven-baked and not at all processed. For lovers of toasty cheese, this is a must-try. read more

My takeaway from this place is that I need to come back and sample their pastries! I went with a savory choice this time. The spicy ricotta bun is basically a pizza bagel and a really good one at that. Glad I got to try their famous cheese it too. I got an iced latte with a ginger pour in and was impressed with the subtlety of the flavor -- don't think ginger snap but more like a slight kick. read more

The worst food and bakery goods. I seriously can't believe this has any 4 star reviews. I'm eating purely on the taste of the items not the presentation or packaging. What a cute coffee shop/ bakery this is. I had never been here until last week or two weeks ago as I was in the neighborhood. They have a picnic bench outside to enjoy their pastries and coffee in the nice weather. Inside is smallish they have some indoor seating along a bar like table. On one side they have merch you can buy from cookbooks, to mugs and other treats. The guy who made my coffee was very nice and told me I probably should not have a pastry as I have a nut allergy and all are made on shared equipment. I had asked him if it was ok if I had a specific thing due ti my nut allergy. The coffee here was tasty I got an iced latte. One of the better ones I have had in this city. What a cute place. And I love them. It's so close to where I live. I had the spinach and goat cheese and it was phenomenal. I know people complain about the prices. Mine was only seven dollars and it was well worth it. I also got The chocolate chip cookie. Oh my God. That was fabulous. I love the taste of the molasses combined in with the chocolate. I'm a huge chocolate fan and I think it had plenty of chocolate. I definitely want one more of those. Love the sea has been salt as well. read more

Okay, so the most famous pastry at the Bakery at Greywind is the giant Cheeze-it. Listen, it's delicious... but it is NOT worth the hype. It's also crazy expensive since you can't just buy one Cheeze-it. However, obviously, it's a beautiful bakery and the staff know's it's overpriced, they even tried to give me a discount since I only wanted one Cheeze-it. For me, the redeeming pastry is the sesame cookie! Holy crap, that thing is so good! I also want to try the breafast bao buns they next time I'm near Hudson Yards and the Vessel. It's fun to grab a treat and go watch the summer outdoor movie series, or in my case, the US Women's bronze medal rudgy match from the Olympics. read more

Once we sorted out bakery vs. seating in the restaurant (menus are not the same), we had a good experience. Service was top notch. The roasted chicken sandwich on ciabatta is tasty, but it has a lot of spicy tomato mayo and pickled jalapeños which blow out the taste of the tender chicken and nice bread. I also had a molasses chocolate chip cookie. No real molasses taste, but it was a great cookie. There is only counter seating and that is limited with a few seats outside. read more

Cheez-it fans rejoice, there's a comically large version of the snack available in Midtown! I do believe this location is attached to the Greywind restaurant so if you see the Greywind, you're in the right place. Everything looks scrumptious and the cashier could not be friendlier as I purchased a giant Cheez-it and chocolate chip cookie to go. The Cheez-it is cheesy, delicate, salty and crunchy. Nothing revolutionary but a faithful recreation of the classic snack. The cookie: a bit crisp and a lot chewy. Has a molasses taste with a hint of salt, truly complex. Overall, well worth the visit. This is a bakery connected to the grey wind restaurant. The chocolate chip molasses cookie was a solid 7/10, great flavor and texture but I wish there was more chocolate. The matcha yuzu lemonade was very refreshing on a hot day. Chai latte was okay, wish it had a stronger chai flavor. Employees were very nice. I went to the Bakery at greywind while on my way to a rehearsal close by. My partner told me about their breakfast bao buns, so I had to get one ( or two ). When I got to the bakery ( a few minutes after their breakfast hours ), I asked if they still had any bao buns left. The server told me he did, and I got two! The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Bao was hot and delicious, with a great balance of the bacon, egg, and cheese. Savory and tasty!! I also got a bao with chicken and herb chorizo and egg. It was savory and yummy!! The bakery was a lovely spot, and looked like a good place to eat, relax, and recharge. During my most recent visit to NYC, I had the pleasure of visiting this spot twice. The Bakery at Greywind is in the Hudson Yards neighborhood and has a beautiful interior. On my first visit, I had the spinach breakfast sandwich and cold brew. The breakfast sandwich is out of this world. The egg mixture is so fluffy. There is also tons of spinach mixed with the egg. The addition of green chili is the perfect addition to the sandwich as well. I also loved the cold brew and bao. Pretty impressed. The breakfast bao was my fav. The breakfast sandwich was also really good and was more like a breakfast burrito but in sandwich form, the salsa in it is delish. The yuzu strawberry tart was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The croissant was comparable to a proper French croissant but it was fluffy on the inside and had a crunch on the outside. I actually really enjoyed the goat cheese thing, I forget what else was it in but I love goat cheese and it was so yummy. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the linzer but I'm not super into very tart/sour things but if you are you will enjoy it. read more

Beautiful new bakery attached to the Greywind NYC. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had been wanting to come here as soon as I heard about it. The bakery menu includes interesting muffins, cakes, cookies, and other pastries. One of the pastries I tried was a delicious Cherry Pistachio Financier. The cherry glaze gave it a very nice flavor and the pistachios added a bit of texture and crunch. The giant homemade Cheez-Its are pure nostalgia. One of the best Chocolate Chip Cookies that I've had in awhile. The added sea salt on top just put it over the top. I would love to try one of the lunch specials but they don't deliver as of yet :( I will continue to stop by and try the other menu items in the AM though! read more

A very disappointing experience overall. Food: I ordered the breakfast bao, which was very dry inside, and the bun was poorly proofed. Charging $12 for it felt unreasonable. Service: The service was far from satisfactory. All three restrooms were out of toilet paper, and it took over an hour for them to be restocked. To make matters worse, the staff showed no accountability--one employee simply stated it wasn't their responsibility without offering an apology. read more

The croissant was buttery and flaky. Opened six months ago, The Bakery at Greywind was on my list of new patisseries to visit. Located on the side of the Greywind restaurant at Tenth Avenue and 35th Street, it was difficult to find. Inside it is both modern and cozy. Here are viennoiseries, salads, sandwiches, two kinds of breads (milk & sourdough) and drinks. The menu is on a wall which is decorative. I chose a macchiato and the croissant. I took home the cherry & pistachio financier which was gluten free. Normally I don't do this but later when I ate it tasted delicious with a slight tangy flavor. I also brought the chocolate chip cookie with molasses home. This was divine! Nikki, the lady who helped, was informative about all the baked goods and friendly. There is an open kitchen and the dining room for the restaurant is visible and now only open for dinner. Open from 8 am till 3 pm and closed on Sunday and Monday this will be a place that I plan to frequent often. Prices are similar to other upscale patisseries but here the atmosphere is genteel and quiet. read more
