Best hot glazed donuts chain in the south. Ok, I just stumbled upon a wonderful (and yet at the same time,terrible) thing. There is a Krispy Kreme app! And you get rewarded on coffee and donut purchases! I am a fan of a cake donut too but when that hot sign is on... I cannot turn one down. And I can turn many desserts down. They melt in your mouth and you just can't beat em! If you've never tried Krispy Kreme's you gotta go! Side note: Especially if you have only ever tried a Dunkin Donuts glazed donut. Dunkin might have them beat with their cake donut or their Powdered Bavarian but Dunkin's glazed donuts taste like 3 day old Krispy Kreme's. Cream filled with almost no cream at all. In the 80's we used to visit the old Krispy Kreme near downtown on government St and the cream would squirt out the sides when biting into them. They were my favorite. Now days, after dealing with a rude drive through attendant, you end up with a cream filled doughnut that's got less than a single drop of cream. Profit margins are more important than a superior product. It was so ridiculous I even took a photo. And this isn't a one time occurrence. I have gone to KK twice now in the last couple of weeks to pickup donuts for my students before school (6:20-6:30am) and both times I was told they were out of glazed. Waited 17 minutes before I ordered. First was at the sign for 3 minutes and nothing. So I pulled up gave it 5 minutes then honked. Nothing still honked again after another 5. Then 2 minutes after got out of my car since the sliding door was open. So then I yelled in there "Is anyone working tonight!" Then 2 minutes later a lady came up to the window. They had the berry specials available online. I specifically ordered certain ones and paid for them. On my way to pick them up I received a call from them telling me they didn't have any berry donuts and asked for substitutions which their only options where the original donuts. If I wanted their original donuts then I would've went through the drive thru to order just a few ( which I trying to avoid since they're lines are ridiculously, crazy long and super slow). I NEVER get loyalty points so I thought I would start paying through the app. I was told they can't do that on the register that's open and they aren't going to open another one. Krispy Kremes are my favorite doughnut. I have eaten them in at least half a dozen states, probably more. When I was a child, I used to fantasize about running away from home so I could go to the old Krispy Kreme at the loop and eat all the donuts I wanted. I love and crave donuts like the way that I crave cake. I've spent five years in the Dunkin Donuts tradition of donuts in my humble home of Chicago. I grew accustomed to the cakelike delights of DD, but tonight I have been converted to Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme filled my tummy with melty, hot glazed donuts. I've had these before and was impressed with them this time as well. Krispy Kreme captured my donut allegiences with their kruller. Those krullers are hands down amazing. Their sour cream cake goodness turned into a Krispy Kreme fanatic. I will crave those wonderful krullers and think good donut dreams about them. I grew up on Krispy Kreme since 1950's, but something is wrong with the icing machine. It is dispensing too much sugary icing on them. We were scraping it off to eat it. It wasn't a fluke, because it has been like that the last three times. Spoke to a K.K. rep and he told me, if the worker gets the donut off the rack, right after going thru the icing wash, there will be excess sugar. So while I am there, people ordering hot donuts, were getting the ones covered with sugar. Lesson learned. Ask for ones down the line, not fresh through the icing wash. read more

You always have a rude girl on the speaker with a rotten attitude when you get to the window. Donuts cold as ice. Would love to go just one time and have a decent experience. So over this place. Ever since they launched their new flavors and free handouts, the line is too long to even get an order in. They are doing more harm than good by making customers wait 30 plus minutes for donuts when I can drive to local shops and buy from there with no wait time. The two times I ordered iced coffee from there they made me pull up and wait literally 15 minutes. Why does it take 15 min to make coffee that isn't even hot??? Incompetent staff. Krispy kreme. Well if you've lived in Mobile for any period of time, krispy kreme is a place of happiness. I love the glazed doughnuts but ONLY when they are hot on the conveyor. Seeing the light on for hot doughnuts mean one thing, melt on your mouth deliciousness. Missed the light, it's ok. Stop in for a lemon filled or my favorite, the kruller. You won't leave disappointed. BTW, don't pay $10.44 for a dozen. What a terrible place. The service isn't so much bad as it is confused, disorganized, and apathetic. They make ordering donuts confusing, and that takes some doing. Don't bother with the rewards program, because no one seems to understand the workings of what should be a cool way to pay and earn points. I stopped using it because it always seemed such a bother. Stopped in for hot cocoa and donuts with a friend about a week ago. It was disappointing. Krispy kreme is usually pretty standard so I'm not sure why it was so off this night. The hot sign was on and the donuts were warm so I know they were fresh. Anyway, we ordered a dozen assorted and the girl taking our order said "huh" about 5 times prompting us to repeat ourselves several times. And it wasn't just us, she did the same to customers ordering after us too. This girl needs to clean her ears or listen more closely because everyone was speaking in clear english of normal volume. Onto our hot cocoa, again we had to repeat ourselves because she didn't quite understand "two hot cocoas, please." She made our cocoa and kinda shoved the cups at me not saying anything or even cracking a smile and continued to add up our total. Not once did she smile or say anything like have a nice day or enjoy your donuts. We grabbed a table to enjoy our cocoa and donuts. The cocoa was gross and not at all how I remember it should be. It tasted of just pure sweetness and lacked any signs of chocolatey goodness. I know it's instant stuff, but maybe the ratio was off or something. It almost tasted peanut buttery. The donuts also tasted off. The plain glazed weren't as fluffy and seemed kind of flat. The traditional plain were dry and brick hard. The donuts are what you would expect at any Krispy Kreme location, glorious! I'm glad I don't stop here for donuts for the office every Friday or I'd be even fatter. I honestly can't tell you if this location has anything special compared to other locations, but I will say that the staff is extremely friendly. Ah, memories. My friends and I used to go to this Krispy Kreme late at night and get some donuts. The donuts were always so fresh (no matter what time I went) and hot! Grew up on Krispy Kremes for over 30 years, but dont know what happened to their donuts as whether it was in the past year or so, or if its been going on a lot longer. Found out one of the main ingredients they use is cellulose gum (refined sawdust) and another is the chemical BHT ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butylated_hydroxytoluene) So until KK removes those 2 ingredients, Im not forking out $1.00 for a donut full of that chemical and saw dust mixture. read more

I like Krispy kreme, always have, for an occasional sweets splurge we just happened to go on pirate day, it was pretty busy, there was a line, but they were taking care of people quick, it was a nice visit for us, we talked like a pirate and got our freebie and saw 2 beautiful ladies dressed like winches, we do hope that the hard time it seemed that guy working behind the counter was giving you 2 worked out, You did look like you were dressed up, hope you got your dozen! We used to LOVE the Lemon Filled Glazed Krispy Kreme Donut BUT, the last several times that we've purchase them(by the dozen) there has barely been any lemon filling! What is up with this skimpy filling on a donut? We are to the point that we will NEVER BUY ANOTHER Lemon Filled Donut from Krispy Kreme because there is barely a teaspoon of Lemon Filling when there should be a few tablespoonsful at a minimum!!!!!
