So I stopped here for some breakfast for me and the kids on our way back to Nashville. They had good reviews and Kolaches. My son wanted donuts too. I was static to see the drive-thru because kids ended up falling asleep. It made it so easy and convenient! The donuts were definitely delicious and I ended up getting a breakfast croissant sandwich and the kolaches. All delicious. I would definitely come back here when I come visit my sister. We grabbed these little gems to go, since we had a large group at a house for a weekend in Mobile. Really pleased with what they had to offer. We went with the original glazed (one dozen) and a 1/2 dozen of the filled (cream/lemon/raspberry). Donuts were really fresh and flavorful. By the time we got them back to our place, they weren't still warm, but that's ok - they had plenty of flavor (as previously stated) and it was obvious they had been cooked fresh that day. Prices, were fair and on par with what I've paid at other places - and actually a little cheaper than quite a few places. Based on our experience with these guys I'd for sure recommend them to others and we wouldn't hesitate to come back here if we find ourselves down in Mobile again some day. read more

I am a big fan of kolaches and since we do not have them in Orlando whenever I am in the Mobile, Alabama area I make sure that I stop and get them at least once. This humble little donut shop has some pretty good kolaches and their donuts are pretty good, as well. Service has always been friendly and it is convenient to a lot of my business stops. I would definitely recommend a visit here. read more

First let me say I tried several donuts but nothing was as good as the glaze! I will never stray again! The young lady behind the counter was so pleasant and nice. My husband got a lemon cream filled white powder donut and it is the only one I got a picture of because I ate my glaze, chocolate, and plain powder donut lickity split. The price was pretty good here: I spent $7.13 for 1/2 dozen mixed donuts and an apple fritter. The actual product was sub-par at best. The apple fritter, which apparently they are known for, is an overly sugary sweet mess that needs a lot more apple to balance it out. It literally tastes like eating a spoonful of sugar- not for me. Highly overrated. Would not recommend. The donuts tasted like basic ones from Dunkin' Donuts. Not particularly different or fresh or good. Not worth getting again. When driving across the south, I've twice found myself having breakfast in Mobile and wondering where to find doughnuts. Yelp has pointed me to Lickin' Good and it's not been a disappointment. They have both excellent doughnuts, kolaches (of the sausage variety), and decent coffee. Delicious! Totally unassuming little spot. Had I not read the reviews first, I probably would have kept on driving by. The maple bacon donut was the star of my visit. However, we ordered a half dozen and tried several donuts and everyone loved theirs. They were light, fluffy and moist. We also shared some breakfast sandwiches which were pretty good. I was worried when I saw the Bunsen burner style, pour it yourself coffee. I find that sometimes those can taste burnt or just old. But to my surprise, the coffee was good. Get there early if you want something specific...by midday they will probably be out of some the more popular flavors. We will definitely add this to our list of must go to while in Mobile. read more

My family and I stopped at this donut shop on our way to Tallahassee, FL. I found it on Yelp and after seeing boudin kolaches on the menu, I knew I had to stop. The kolache was really good and so was the blueberry cake donut. I think we had one of everything. There were no complaints from my guys either. They also sell coffee and a variety of other beverages. It was convenient that there is also a drive thru at this location. I know that it was fairly early in the morning but the lady that helped us wasn't very friendly. If the service was better, I could've given a 4.5. rating. read more

I'm only commenting on the donuts here. I have never tried the kolaches although I've heard they are good. The donuts are less than mediocre. They lack flavor and they're just not good. They are dry the day you buy them and they're overpriced for the quality you receive. Save yourself the disappointment and go to the old standby over on Hillcrest Rd or go to Pollman's Bakery and get a real apple fritter. read more

We stopped right as they opened on our way through Mobile. We got the blueberry cake, sour cream, and chocolate iced sour cream donuts. We also got the jalapeño sausage kolaches. Everything was amazing! You could taste the individual blueberries in the donuts. Definitely worth the stop! read more

These have been the best doughnuts I've tasted so far. They aren't too thin like Krispy Kreme, not too doughy like the doughnut shop on airport, they were the perfect balance of sweet and filling. The only complaint that I have that could affect the probability of me returning here would be the fact that, while ordering, the cashier that was attending to the shop, dropped a couple of doughnuts and then proceeded to put them right back on the cooling rack on which I assume she would serve per normal. If I hadn't saw this, I would definitely rate this 5-stars, but being a witness to this disgusting behavior will cause me to choice another local doughnut shop to try. read more

Texas style sausage kolaches but with conecuh!!! They also do ham and boudin kolaches. Workers told me once that the owners were from Texas. You can tell in the soft, golden breading of their delicious kolaches. Did I mention you should get the kolaches? Haha! read more

Instead it was my wife who, searching for someplace other than a supermarket to purchase a King Cake for our Mardi Gras celebration, found this fine bakery. Now, as I have never actually been to its location in downtown Mobile, it should be understood that this review is based solely on my experience with consuming their product. My wife learned that this bakery has an online ordering system, and that the product ordered through their website should be picked up the following morning. She further learned that, because of high demand, their in store product usually sales out within minutes of their opening each day. So as a first try she ordered a 6 inch King Cake, a small spinach quiche, and two petit-fours. The next morning she drove downtown and found, as she had learned it would be from online reviews, a long line to the bakery of customers waiting for the business to open. After going the long queue and finally upon reaching the interior, she found her online order waiting for her, separated from the other produce which was being quickly bought up by the customers in shop. This small business simply does not yet have the manpower or equipment to produce enough product to last beyond one day. Which is a good thing for customers who insist on same day freshness. The quiche and petit-fours did not survive long enough for me a get a photograph of each, but I did manage to get a photo of the King Cake, which I have included in this review. Finally, we found each item to be superbly delicious and very much worth the effort. We will be back again soon in order to sample more of their product, especially their larger King Cake when Mardi Gras season rolls around again next year.

Everything looked so good that narrowing it down was honestly the hardest part. I went with the Conecuh Pepper Honey pastry and the Coconut Mojito Cruffin, and both were absolutely delicious and so creative. The kind of place that makes you wish you lived nearby so you could keep working your way through the menu.

It is as close to lunch time, so I went with the lunch special, where I chose 2 fresh slices of pepperoni and sausage pizza, and a drink for 9 bucks! It's a pretty good deal! They got my order ready to go pretty quickly, and I took it to my car, since the place is small and they have no dine in seating. While I was waiting, a lady came in and picked up an enormous pizza, bigger than you'll find at any chain restaurant. It was so large, she had to put the seats down in the back of her SUV to fit it in the hatch. But enough about that. Let's get to the main event! That pizza was pretty amazing! The crust was golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and pillowy on the inside. The sauce, which I believe is made in house, was sufficiently tangy and tasted very fresh. The pepperoni was cooked crisp and wasn't overly greasy and the sausage had a great, robust flavor that was the star of the show. This is everything I love about a great pizza, and it's local, so that's just one more praise to sing about it! I paired it with a bottle of Coke, which absolutely was perfect with this pizza. So if you're out in West Mobile, this little place is worth a stop. Grab a slice, or a pie for the entire family. It does not disappoint. They also have pasta on their menu, which gives me a reason to go back and try something else!

Well as if the bugs in the cases at the saraland store weren't enough , you can always expect their top notch employee Angel Bullock (who works at all locations, so take the luck of the draw) to slander your name to the public if anyone comes in to buy donuts. A pal I work with informed me whenever he went to get some donuts the cashier angel asked if he knew me and then proceeded to slander me and make up lies from stories she knew nothing about. Pretty sad that the owner took her side on it and did nothing to resolve the issue. I definitely won't be back nor will anyone I know! also would like to add Angel Bullock informed me once before herself she doesn't like to work the DAUPHIN STREET LOCATION because it is infested with roaches!! read more
