As I started to order, he said we're closed. It was 7:40 pm, I thought he was joking. I asked if they were sold out and he said no, we're closed. Today started out discouraging. We had a fundraiser order submitted since last Thursday, but somehow got lost. Our order had to be modified for us to get in time today. We started our drive from San Angelo, thinking of how we were going to tell all the people who ordered from us, they weren't going to get their exact orders. We decided to call and speak with a manager again on the way and got Debbie. She's an ANGEL!! She found our original order and put a rush on it. She had it ready by the time we got into town. Went through the drive thru - no one was in line except me. First I asked for a chocolate iced donut and the woman taking my order interrupted me in a inconvenienced tone to let me know that they didn't have any. That was fine with me, and I ordered 4 classic glazed instead with a whole milk and coffee. She turned around to get the order and I never saw her again. A man came to the window and asked what my order was, so he boxed up my donuts and told me to have a nice day. I told him I hadn't even paid yet and I didn't get my milk or coffee, and he rolled his eyes (presumably because the other worker hadn't already done it) and then just told me not to worry about it. I was already over the experience by this point that I didn't ask for my milk and coffee. I appreciate the free donuts, but it wasn't worth the bad customer service.. makes the customer feel like an inconvenience. Also, even though the hot donut light was on, the donuts were stale and the glaze was chunky and tasted like they had been in the refrigerator or frozen or something?? Super odd. Wow!! This place has gone downhill since it first opened. Tried to go a couple times since I was craving donuts. The first time i went it seems the speaker system does not work. Pulled up to the window and saw a person inside but he would not come to the window. Almost 5-8 mins later the line behind me starting getting longer and someone started honking the horn. The guy that was there finally came to the window and said he can't help us because he only makes the donuts and their wasn't anyone that could work the cash register cause they haven't came to work yet. We showed up at 10:15 p.m. when they close at 11:00 p.m. and pulled up to the drive-thru and sat there for near 5 minutes waiting for someone to take our order, nobody came on. Went up to the door to check the hours once again to make sure, and pulled on the door and it was locked. I'm not a huge Krispy Kreme doughnut fan (too sweet for breakfast, too insubstantial for dessert), but the lady likes them so we had to stop by while we were in town. Got there just in time, as about 30 people showed up after us. They were sold out of almost every specialty doughnut, including their basic glazed! The machine started cranking some out while we were there. The mechanical process is interesting to watch, but after seeing all the old grease, forgotten bits of doughnut and gunk that was all over the conveyor belt, I lost my appetite pretty quickly. I realize industrial kitchens are all more dirty than what we like to imagine, but the build up on the end of the conveyor and around the frosting fountain was just gross. read more

Krispy Kreme donuts are not the greatest donuts but they get the job done when you're craving donuts. I have been to this location 3 times and have never had a problem with my service. When we ordered we were handed two dozen of the most COLD ROCK HARD donuts I have ever seen in my life! We called ahead and said we were coming right back because they were stale. They said they would call us back in an hour when they make fresh ones. Two hours go by and we never received a single call. We came back to find out they didn't even make fresh ones and the woman behind the counter admitted to giving us donuts that were several days old. They have a great variety but be careful . . . what other places call a cream filled donut is a custard filled here. If you order cream fill you get one that's filled with a white frosting-like substance. I like Krispy Kreme's regular glazed donuts. The fruit ones are OK too. Stear clear of the ones that are frosting filled, they taste yucky. They also don't have any w/ nuts or coconut here, which is sad. I walked in at 10 in the morning on a Saturday and the person I walked in with got to order promptly. Once they finished with her they skipped me and jumped to the next person in line. The drive through was "not working" and had hand written paper signs to tell us that.
