We went into the store on 9/10 around noon for donuts. There were four people sitting at a table including managers. We tried for over 5 minutes to pay with part is our order with a gift card, but was told finally by a manager the machine was not accepting gift cards. I blame management on not first educating the two behind the counter trying to take care of customers that the gift card process was not working, then the whole lack of attention from those at the table was very rude for us that were trying to get in and out quickly. This will be my last time to give this business any of my money. The donuts are not good enough to have to be treated with such a lack of respect by management. I've read the good and bad reviews for this place and I can now confirm that I side with the unhappy people. My filled donuts were just barely filled. You'd think the would have a machine that measured the amount of filling each donut received but I guess they don't. And, if they fill them by hand, they should pump until the filling starts coming out. Of course the DEI employees don't care. It is so sad that the franchise owner doesn't care enough to make sure the Krispy Kreme name lives up to its promises. They should give up the franchise and let someone else take over. read more

Krispy Kreme in Lubbock has been going down hill for a while now. It's often hit or miss. Sometimes you get lucky and it is great, but just as often it is not. Today was definitely one of the NOT days. I picked up a dozen glazed and a dozen assorted to take to work. When I got to work, I was anticipating a fabulous melt in your mouth glazed donut. First the good: I'm thankful Lubbock HAS a Krispy Kreme, and - once you actually get/get to the donuts, they are very good. Also, the employees have always been friendly to me. However, you are "greeted" at the store with a crater sized hole that's been there for ~2 years. Once inside the store, the floor is sticky and can make a customer think "gross." I've attempted, several times, to use my app and have had no real success. The customers, up to management, simply seem not to know how to use it (works fine at other stores across the country). So I went into the store with my kids and saw the "Hot Now" sign, so we stopped and got donuts. Everyone was super nice. However, when I felt the box, the donuts didn't feel warm. On the way out, I told the girl at the register that they were cold and that I wanted another dozen. I was fine with the cold ones but would pay for the hot ones. The girl was super nice! While we waited, I tried on a Krispy Kreme baseball hat and LINDA came out yelling, asking what was wrong with my donuts. She insisted that they were hot, but eventually, I got her to feel them and she gave me another dozen, which I would have paid for. No problem. On December 17th I stopped by to pick up some donuts for the office, but was horrified to see that the young woman filling up my boxes was wearing her mask over her chin! Thoughts of what could happen if I got my team members sick with COVID or if they would get other family members sick or even died from it. This review allows 85 characters so unfortunately I won't be able to say how extremely awful this experience was but I will say we will never be back. Got cold donuts (like came out of the fridge) and old. The icing had crystallized. Took them back inside and told the really rude manager we had tried to eat the donuts and after some balking he did give us a refund however as we sat in the parking lot talking about the awful experience we watched the manager put the donuts back in the case. The ones we touched to see if they were all cold and attempted to eat two.... Now even if I wanted to try for a better night I will wonder if someone else had a bad experience and they put those donuts back too. read more
