6 Glazed.. Hot Light was on!

We don't come through too frequently, but when we do- it's such a treat! I bring my toddler through and we will get a few doughnuts to share, and I'll get a latte or coffee if I hadn't had on yet. The service is usually pretty quick, and most the time friendly. I have their app so I'm able to see when the fun limited edition flavors come in. The app is such a blessing because it keeps track of your points, and they offer free or discounted doughnuts fairly often!

I haven't been to Krispy Kreme in years, but my daughter requested birthday donuts for dessert, so I stopped by today to pick some up. When I pulled up, they had a sign out front saying that the lobby is for online orders only, but that the drive thru is open. No big deal! I just pulled around to the drive thru. As soon as I pulled up, they were immediately ready to take my order. I asked a few questions and then ordered 5 dozen donuts. I had some old coupons from a fundraiser, so I technically only paid for 3 dozen. I noticed they had signs next to the menu asking customers to please be patient since they have been short staffed since covid. I'm sad that that any business has to put up a sign like that. What is wrong with people? Life is too short to be a "Karen." I pulled up to the window and paid for the donuts. Before I could even blink, they had my 5 dozen ready! I squeezed all 5 dozen through my vehicle's window, had a laugh with the cashier, and then was on my merry way. All in all, I had a great experience at the Krispy Kreme drive thru. I'll definitely be back for more "melt in your mouth" donuts!

Their fresh doughnuts just melt in your mouth, especially the glazed! I've never had to order myself, it's always been through friends and family, and so I can't say much about their service. However, the quality of the doughnuts have always been the same! So fluffy and light, I wish their portions are a bit bigger as they are expensive compared to other places.

    Note the "Restaurant Tax".

I sure love it when corporate has a big promotion. Back at the end of May, you had those fun summer flavors like pineapple, key lime, strawberry, and lemon. I was able to get buy one dozen and get the second dozen for a dollar. I bought four dozen and took them to my daughter's class and it was a huge hit. I don't typically buy donuts because I'm always try to eat healthy, so I like to splurge when there's a promotion. We decided to take the kids for a treat the other evening to sample your new Reese's flavor. First off, that flavor is way too sweet. The reason for this Yelp review, however, is because I'm really irritated that you charged me a 1% "restaurant" tax on top of the standard sales tax. We went into the restaurant and ordered them to go. I think back in the day Baskin Robbins used to charge extra tax if you ate inside the restaurant because I guess they had to account for cleaning up your mess. But I got the order to go. I'm irritated enough that I probably won't come back. At the very least, I won't come back unless there's a great promotion. There's so many options for doughnuts around here that I will probably take my business elsewhere. Yes, I'm that irritated. What is a restaurant tax? I didn't even eat inside the restaurant. What do you charge your drive-thru customers? Yes, KK, I'll be taking your survey. Your restaurant needs a good cleaning, too.

This location was out of everything at 10am! We flew all the way from hawaii and wanted a box of original glazed which they did not have!

There were a couple of things that made the experience a little challenging. The parking lot was PACKED, and getting in was honestly a bit of a nightmare, especially since we aren't familiar with the area. But honestly, that's a pretty good problem for a business to have! The other thing that confused me was the menu. I had a really hard time finding the actual drink menu, both online and when looking on Yelp. There was one picture of the menu on Yelp, but part of it was blocked, and I still wasn't really sure what all the drink options were. Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place, but it definitely wasn't obvious to me. Luckily, my daughter and her boyfriend knew exactly what they wanted, so we got their drinks, and Sean ordered the same thing as my daughter's boyfriend. I asked the woman working the counter what she recommended, went with her suggestion, and WOW...we were impressed! Once we actually got up to the window, I really loved the whole vibe. It's such a cute little drive-through setup with windows on both sides, and they moved through the line really quickly. The whole experience felt friendly and welcoming, and I really enjoyed the ambience. Now that we know the routine and how everything works we will be back!! The coffee was SO good. Great flavor, and the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and my drink was definitely one I could have gone back for another one of. I seriously considered it, but it was about a 10-15 minute drive away, so I resisted. Even with the parking and menu frustrations, I'm still giving Daily Rise 5 stars because when the coffee is that good and the service is that great, I'm willing to overlook the little inconveniences. Would absolutely stop here again if we're in the area!

Absolutely incredible. Pro-Tip Before You Go: Do yourself a favor and look at their menu online before you pull up. The amount of possibilities they offer is endless, and it can be a little overwhelming if you aren't prepared. That being said, if you do get stuck, the baristas are incredibly nice and patient as you stroll through the many options. Go give them a shot. Standing up for others rights is one thing. Intentionally creating discord is quite another. This experience is not great for anyone with anxiety, or needs peace and calm, with a sensory processing disorder or preference to avoid conflict. Hate doesn't need a seat at the table. Kind of done with that. I'm not coming back. The coffee is good though. So are the baked treats. Had a lot of potential.

That's about as good as you'll ever find for something on a Utah store shelf--especially valuable here where it can be hard to find quality roast in lots of Utah towns. The espresso roast has a rich full medium roast flavor, with some bite and with lots of nutty aftertaste. The beans don't have visible oil, even freshly roasted, so they are easy to weigh accurately for grams per volume in your your portafilter, and they go through your grinder smoothly. I like to try whatever local roasts I can find, but Daily Rise combines the freshness of the roast, the exceptional flavor that results, and the consistency for your machine. Probably I have found my new daily standard. Daily Rise espresso roast is called a medium roast and is roasted to the right level for Italian style espresso, even though most espresso roasts are called a dark roast. Daily Rise seems to reserve the dark roast label for their French roast, and French roast needs to be a way darker roast than an Italian espresso roast, so that makes sense.

This machine is small enough to allow us to be a small coffee micro-roaster and hand pick out any defects post-roast, yet large enough to produce upwards of 500+ pounds of fresh coffee beans per day to keep up with demand. In addition to this machine, we found we needed a place to cup, taste and evaluate our coffee. The difference between Daily Rise Roasting Company and other roasters can be experienced as well as tasted.
