Walked in, said hello-got total silence. Waited. Still silence. Employee finally looks up, rolls eyes, mutters "what" under his breath, then goes back to his phone. Didn't even ring me up until I asked again. Disrespectful and lazy. Krispy Kreme deserves better employees or at least ones who pretend to care. read more

This location is never busy and I can get a nice warm donut within seconds. The donuts are always a decent size and they recreate the specialty donuts just like the photos which I appreciate. This location is a little tricky to get to since it's in a dead end corner, but I'll always choose to come here over others because of convenience. (Also for the fact that I don't need to leave my car). read more

This is the third time I have went to this location thinking things are going to better. I'm so disappointed. I order regular glazed the hot sign is ON BUT GUESS WHAT. When I receive my order these doughnuts was cold. I didn't get upset I just drove around and told the young lady. She was very sweet but she replied it will be 45 mins for them to make more. Unfortunately I couldn't wait I just took my cold doughnuts. . I guess better luck next time. read more

We don't come through too frequently, but when we do- it's such a treat! I bring my toddler through and we will get a few doughnuts to share, and I'll get a latte or coffee if I hadn't had on yet. The service is usually pretty quick, and most the time friendly. I have their app so I'm able to see when the fun limited edition flavors come in. The app is such a blessing because it keeps track of your points, and they offer free or discounted doughnuts fairly often! read more

Went 2 days in a row to get the 4th of July donuts and both days they have none. I even went in off times. Why promote something you'll never have. Pointless emails in my inbox if I can't buy them. Waste of 2 trips. read more

I haven't been to Krispy Kreme in years, but my daughter requested birthday donuts for dessert, so I stopped by today to pick some up. When I pulled up, they had a sign out front saying that the lobby is for online orders only, but that the drive thru is open. No big deal! I just pulled around to the drive thru. As soon as I pulled up, they were immediately ready to take my order. I asked a few questions and then ordered 5 dozen donuts. I had some old coupons from a fundraiser, so I technically only paid for 3 dozen. I noticed they had signs next to the menu asking customers to please be patient since they have been short staffed since covid. I'm sad that that any business has to put up a sign like that. What is wrong with people? Life is too short to be a "Karen." I pulled up to the window and paid for the donuts. Before I could even blink, they had my 5 dozen ready! I squeezed all 5 dozen through my vehicle's window, had a laugh with the cashier, and then was on my merry way. All in all, I had a great experience at the Krispy Kreme drive thru. I'll definitely be back for more "melt in your mouth" donuts! read more

We went at 8:30 in the morning to get donuts and there wasn't even making them. The donuts they had were yesterday's.

When you choose to limit customers to drive through only you are choosing to EXCLUDE every demographic without a vehicle: Disabled, economically oppressed, those who walk or bike for personal or environmental reasons. For this to be your standard during ALL operating hours is unconscionable! I can see during one peak hour morning and afternoon, but excluding all walk-ins all-together??? Perhaps reconsider this decision. read more

Recently, I had to hear my buddies complain that there wasn't a Krispy Kreme in Salt Lake City for more than a week while on our yearly ski/snowboard adventure. (This trip is usually to Japan, but thank you COVID for nixing that). We're from Honolulu and the closest Krispy Kreme is on Maui and NONE of my friends love donuts that much. I have grandchildren in the Ogden area and when visiting them on the day before heading home, I spied a Krispy Kreme en route. I figured there was no better way to suck up to the friends than surprising them with a dozen or so of sugary goodness. What they didn't eat, I bagged and brought back to the Mrs and my sassy pre-teens at home. Krispy Kreme is always a fantastic option for the sweet toothed individuals of the world. Consistent, sugary goodness to share or enjoy for yourself. On this occasion, the inside area wasn't open and I was directed to the drive thru (COVID protocol?) The service was fast, friendly and efficient. read more

I decided to drop in this morning after my workout to surprise my toddler with a donut coming home. The staff member was quick to attend to me, help pick out a sprinkle donut for my son. Walked to the register to pay and she told me this donut would be compd and she also included a freshly cooked glaze as well. This act of kindness meant so much, thank you! read more

TINY!! These doughnuts are a lot smaller than they used to be. Not full at all, but skinny and pathetic, not to mention you can taste the oil now. $7 for 3 is crazy. read more

Visiting from Michigan and drove by Krispy Kreme everyday waiting for the light to go on. Looked online and it said everyday from 5-8 the light would be on. One evening my daughter drove to Layton, we're in Syracuse and asked for a variety box. The girl was confused so my daughter said "you know, a mixture". They gave her a mixture, not one glazed and they were NOT hot and fresh. $17 for some stale donuts I could have bought at a grocery store. Sooooooo disappointed and will never go back to this location. read more

I've tried really hard to love this place, but at the end of the day.... it's a donut shop. And when I say donut shop, I mean a very average donut shop. I think this is one of those national chain type places that people love because they've been told how wonderful it is and heaven forbid you be so edgy as to say "meh." Well, "meh." Truthfully the only thing this place has going for it that you cannot find at one of our other wonderful bakeries in town is a drive thru. That is convenient. Price, selection, taste belong to the other guys. read more

Their fresh doughnuts just melt in your mouth, especially the glazed! I've never had to order myself, it's always been through friends and family, and so I can't say much about their service. However, the quality of the doughnuts have always been the same! So fluffy and light, I wish their portions are a bit bigger as they are expensive compared to other places. read more

I sure love it when corporate has a big promotion. Back at the end of May, you had those fun summer flavors like pineapple, key lime, strawberry, and lemon. I was able to get buy one dozen and get the second dozen for a dollar. I bought four dozen and took them to my daughter's class and it was a huge hit. I don't typically buy donuts because I'm always try to eat healthy, so I like to splurge when there's a promotion. We decided to take the kids for a treat the other evening to sample your new Reese's flavor. First off, that flavor is way too sweet. The reason for this Yelp review, however, is because I'm really irritated that you charged me a 1% "restaurant" tax on top of the standard sales tax. We went into the restaurant and ordered them to go. I think back in the day Baskin Robbins used to charge extra tax if you ate inside the restaurant because I guess they had to account for cleaning up your mess. But I got the order to go. I'm irritated enough that I probably won't come back. At the very least, I won't come back unless there's a great promotion. There's so many options for doughnuts around here that I will probably take my business elsewhere. Yes, I'm that irritated. What is a restaurant tax? I didn't even eat inside the restaurant. What do you charge your drive-thru customers? Yes, KK, I'll be taking your survey. Your restaurant needs a good cleaning, too. read more

Krispy Kreme - Note the "Restaurant Tax". - Donuts Near Me - Layton, Utah

There's only one Krispy Kreme franchise in Hawaii & it happens to be located on different island from the one I reside on; whenever I have the opportunity to indulge in fresh Krispy Kreme donuts, you better believe I don't waste any time. When people are on vacation, they temporarily disregard their diets & make mental lists of places they want to eat. Krispy Kreme was at the top of my indulgence list & I'm thrilled I was able to cross this donut joint off my list twice. As soon as I walked into Layton's Krispy Kreme Donuts, I was greeted by the sweet & savory smell of freshly made original glazed donuts on the conveyor belt. I'm a firm believer their original glazed donuts are little gifts from heaven & when I saw the sign for their, "75 birthday donuts" I HAD to try one for myself. I devoured a chocolate covered donut with rainbox sprinkles & white frosting in the middle. Every bite of an original Krispy Kreme donut is what I imagine eating a cloud would taste like: light, fluffly & full of bliss. If you're in the Layton area & want to enjoy a tasty treat, make your next stop Krispy Kreme Donuts & if it's too hot to get out of your car, they've got a drive-thru. read more

Sometimes you need to start your day with some donuts. Krispy Kreme's donuts are small but they are delicious. There are other donut shops around but Krispy Kreme always seems to have all their varieties in stock throughout the morning. This location does a good job at getting customers served quickly. Most of my experiences have dealt with the drive thru so I cannot speak to the interior experience. The drive thru is right next to the dumpster which at times is messy with carts and other supplies. A couple times I've gone through, I've seen employees hanging around smoking as they throw out old donuts. It made me question the cleanliness of the shop. read more

Really?!?! I made an on-line order for the two specials they are advertising today. When I got there to pick them up they have neither special! Some one couldn't take ten seconds to call me and save me a trip! So, substitute a dozen glazed for one and refund the other that way I still have something. She hands me two dozen at the window. Oh, they have one special. Just give me the doughnuts already. I get home and find the special she did give is wrong. A call to the manager informs me that they are not doing either special and substituting other donuts they do have. How about warning people of this!!! That whole thing of just making a profit dies quickly when you keep screwing over customers. read more

I ordered donuts through the app and sat outside the store at 0800 itself in Layton waiting for my order which the app says would 'approximately be ready by 0815. 0830: I call the store to ask about my order and at first the young lady says she couldn't find the order but then finds it and tells me it's not ready. I ask when it will be ready and she says it will be later in the day, I let her know I've been patiently waiting and expected it to be ready by the time the app said it would be ready. I asked if someone can deliver it but told deliveries are done through Doordash. I reaffirmed that I wanted the doughnuts three times during the conversation and through the confusion on her part. Suddenly, without asking, this employee did the unbelievable: she refunded my money, canceling my order, ASSUMING I was going to go through Doordash. I asked her why she did this and that I didn't tell her to do that. She said she did this because other customers usually go for the Doordash to which I responded that I'm not the usual customer and I still want my doughnuts. She breaks down over the phone complaining about being stressed and the only employee there and not enough staff to handle the orders which I get but that's not my problem. In my disappointment and disbelief I tell her to call me when the order is done and keep the order as it is. She says ok and I hang up: This was a $44.00 order. WHO THE HELL OWNS THIS PARTICULAR FRANCHISE?! It's not the employee's fault it's YOURS because you own this one so get on it and fix the problems with this store. Never have donuts in stock. Drive thru is chock full of paper taped on it describing all the stuff they don't have in stock. Ordered 4 dozen doughnuts for St Patrick's day. Ordered them On Friday for Sunday delivery at 7:00. I received an email on Sunday morning at 6:50 saying they cancelled my order and to call the store. Spent the next hour trying to call with no answer or any way to leave a message. Then they continued to charge my card for the order. I have been a Krispy Creme fan for years, but I will not go back to this location because of the lack of respect for its customers. I am still trying to get a refund. Avoid this place. read more

Frustrated! Hours posted online, in all google maps and searches, say this location opens at 7 am. Got up early to grab donuts for my daughters birthday treat to take to school, but arrived to locked doors! Called inside and they don't actually open until 8 am! The place is very close to the highway, which is good for a quick snack stop. The cashiers/servers are mostly nice. The lines are no too long. The donuts are not always fresh (a day old) and sometimes seems like they forgot to put enough filling on the raspberry or lemon pastries. read more

Deplorable customer, service, and frequently closed. I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and have been a customer since I was a kid. This is the third Friday morning that I've gone out of my way to stop to pick up donuts for my staff only to find the doors locked and drive thru closed. All three times, there were plenty of staff inside. I won't waste my time again and will get donuts for my staff elsewhere. I recommend you do the same. Don't waste your time read more

I waited in the drive through for an hour and I was like 5th in line worst service ever

Who doesn't have a love-hate relationship with Krispy Kreme?! Their donuts are good but so naughty to eat! If it wasn't for the fact that I can get freshly made (and still hot!) off the line donuts I'd most likely not bother with getting Krispy Kreme. However, where this location makes all the donuts for the about a 40 mile radius the opportunity to get a fresh, hot (and free!!) one are abundant. PS If the "red light" is on not only are the donuts being made then and (usually still) hot but you can get a free one as a sample! Yum! This location is always clean and the staff are consistently friendly. PPS They give 1 donut per A on report cards-up to 6 free donuts per child. My kids love taking their reports here to get free donuts! :) read more

Went to get our kids donuts, 4 donuts were unavailable and I asked if they had chocolate cake donuts which didn't have an unavailable sticker on them and they said they didn't have either of the cake donuts and all they had were glazed, maple and the Jelly and kreme filled donuts. Seems like this place is drastically going down hill. If you compare this location to the other new ones this one needs to be shut down. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered 4 dozen donuts for a birthday "cake" for a party, paid in advanced. I arrived 30 minutes AFTER my pick up time to ensure they would be ready. I arrived to a closed store. When I called the store number, I was advised the fryer was broken and they could not fulfill my order. I asked why I wasn't contacted and the response was, "We don't really have a way to do that." They don't have a way to contact catering order customers? Well, they had my phone # as I received a confirmation text, as well as an email. The icing on the cake was getting an email, advising of the order cancellation with the reason, "Customer did not want." Seriously? Terrible customer service and accountability for the error. I will never buy Krispy Kreme again.... Not because the fryer was broken... But because they couldn't fill my order, they knew they couldn't, didn't offer an apology, nor offer to have another store fill the order. They basically couldn't have cared less. read more

The worst experience I have had in a very long time, seriously the worst. The drive thru line was the only thing open because someone decided to close the inside so everyone had to wait in the drive thru and that line was long, we clocked it we waited 39 minutes to even order and another 27 to get our food, literally the worst experience. If this wasn't the only donut shot in the area I would not come here, for now on I will go somewhere else. When I asked the lady at the window why it took so long she said, "well we are busy" not s*** if you open the inside and let people come inside then you wouldn't have to worry about that. Also this is the 3rd time we have been here and the drive thru is the same and even though you explained to them what you want and they confirm your order by reading it back to you, they still mess your order up, lol. Literally only thing was right is 3 donuts, we order 2 dozen for work and once we got to the office it was all wrong. Never again. read more

These guys take FOREVER! Encountered an 8-car wait at 8PM on a Wed night. My wife decided to go in to the lobby (open during COVID). She was the only person there, stood at the register for 5mins, then walked out as she was never approached for her order. They didn't even acknowledge that she was there. We must have waited 20 mins at the drive thru to complete an order. Inside, my wife observes there were 5+ employees. read more

Not my favorite donut. They tend to go down easy then sit in the stomach like a hunk of concrete. Oil city. Toppings and glazes are simple affairs of sugar and artifical flavors. Still, 4 stars! Service is relatively quick and friendly. Prices are low. Eye-catching gimmicks abound like free paper hats, classicly modern neon signage, and the ability to watch the cooking process through a wall of glass; donuts floating down a lazy river of oil. Neat-o! A flotilla of doughy delights gently bobbing their way to my open mouth. A shiny apparatus flips them halfway through, but some of them don't make it. They end up warped beyond all recognition or don't flip at all. This adds a certain rubber-necking thrill. Oh the humanity! That apple fritter was just four days from retirement! Now it'll decorate the bottom of a trash bag. Overall, a huge step above Dunkin' but comes well shy of the best dedicated neighborhood joints. Though the donuts aren't the greatest, atmosphere and service combine to push things well above par. read more

Sooo disappointed. I was planning for things to be pretty busy considering everything going on right now as we pulled in I thought about how lucky we were! No one was in the drive-thru so we pulled in. We mentioned the strawberry glazed dozen for $5 and someone said we had to have the coupon on hand. So we said "okay someone is pulling in behind us so we'll pull around and come back in a minute once we find it" So we pulled around instantly because I had found the coupon. We roll back in, "Hey it's the person one car ago who asked about the strawberry glazed dozen promotion." We proceeded to order the strawberry glazed dozen, a medium iced coffee, and a mix and match dozen with a lemon filled donut and the rest to be randomized. As we pulled through, the car that had been behind us but was now in front was pulling away. We pulled up to the window and the cashier asked what our order was. We thought he just needed a reminder because he had on a headset and must have heard our order that we placed a few seconds earlier. So we said it was the two dozen- one strawberry glazed and the order mix and match. He didn't ask for our coupon. He charges us and while I wait on the drink I tell him I'm confused because we got the coupon out but wanted a receipt because he had not asked for the coupon and I wanted to make sure he had applied it. He didn't give us a receipt but I don't totally blame him as he did continue starting to talk about how he didn't get the drink on the ticket and he would need our number. This was confusing and eventually I asked "Do you need the coupon code number or a phone number? What are you asking?" He kept talking about reward points but that had absolutely nothing to do with the interaction because I had asked about the coupon and being over charged. Anyway we get home and after everything, there is not a SINGLE lemon filled donut in the whole box. 3 strawberry filled and the rest were almost entirely chocolate. But no lemon. Furthermore, the iced coffee tasted more like milk than coffee. We drove 25 minutes out specifically for donuts. Please tell your employees to listen and pay attention to orders. Tell them that if they don't know the entire order, it's more appropriate for them to ask for the order in it's entirety than to screw it up. I have sympathy regarding what is going on right now and I would understand if things were busy. But we saw 2 cars in total while we drove thru so this order should not have been so complicated. 2 stars because at least the strawberry glazed are tasty read more
