I dare you to find a better donut place! Great variety and super yummy donuts. I'm a teacher and usually get donuts for my classes once or twice a year and they always request Banbury! read more

Not sure what happened but went back yesterday for a couple of donuts, went thru the drive thru and ordered a maple bar and chocolate bar. Both tasted a day or two old. Only took three bites and threw them away. It was really bad, so bad that I don't think I would give them another try. Bummer! read more

Let me start by saying that normally the donuts are super good but I'm not sure what happened to them today. My husband and I went there and upon entering the place smelled of old oil and the donuts didn't look any better either. In fact, the donuts looked flat. Well, we got donuts anyways and got them home. When I bit into the cronut it tasted like old oil and was only about 1/2 inch thick.....thin. The one star is for the Boston creme, it was okay. The square glazed was flat as well but I didn't even try to taste that one. The fritter looked over cooked and tasted of old oil too. Needles to say I only ate the one creme. This review is to ask the establishment to please "CHANGE THE OIL." Let the donuts rise or stop killing the yeast. Why are they so flat?? There's no rise at all to the dough. I'm sad about this. read more

The nicest place/owner(?). Reason to stop off the I15 or overnight in Layton. Cake donuts, the best texture- the lightness of a good cake, sufficient crispness but no residual oil taste. Tons of yeast raised - we did get an apple fritter but can't remember because of the overwhelming pleasure of the cinnamon crumb cake donut. Coffee really decent too. Don't expect lots of alternative milk choices. This is coffee and donuts done right - the old fashioned way. So glad to have found it. read more

The donuts are pretty good, however I'm hesitant to get any here again. There was a little girl in the shop wearing pajamas, she was behind the counter with her family that clearly was working there. She looked to be about two or three. She kept touching the donuts in the display and kept putting her feet up on the lower racks where donuts were sitting. read more

So I don't get it. Is this a ghost kitchen or a donut shop? The shelves were stocked, but I was told the donuts on display were reserved for online orders and not available to walk-in customers. If online orders can claim inventory as the store opens and before in-store customers have any chance to buy what's on the shelves, what is the point of maintaining a brick-and-mortar location? At that point, save the rent, consolidate locations, and operate as a delivery-only business. One star for the walk-in experience. Five stars for being a ghost kitchen. read more

Very Kind people and they have absolutely fantastic donuts. Highly recommend stopping here

You won't find a better donut in town. We arrived early to pick up a variety of 3 dozen donuts to bring to our customers. They picked out a very good selection and everyone was thrilled that we used Banbury Cross to keep things local as well as their high quality and variety. read more

Doughnuts number One. Add in pleasant service and a convenient location and you get a great, sweet food experience. We happened to wander in on a Monday, and found out that kids under and put spark in it be fancy fancy fancy 12 get a free doughnut! That's an even better added bonus. I don't think there has ever been a time where I went in and they were fully stocked with donuts. That is all they serve and they are always out of everything. This time We went in with over 3 hours before they close and they were completely out of everything. How does this happen read more

One of the best [partial] donuts I've ever had the privilege to indulge in! The only thing that kept them from getting 5 stars is I asked for a chocolate iced, white cream filled donut and got yellow Bavarian cream filling . I had to throw most of it away due to my disgust for that kind of filling. What I did eat was fabulous! They also had a very limited selection and it was only noon. Cute boxes they put donuts in. read more

We love Banbury Cross Donuts! I picked up a dozen for Father's Day and he was so happy :) I'm just bummed they were out of his favorite, the raspberry filled one. They say that if we order 24 hours in advance, then they can guarantee they'll have the donuts we want. We'll definitely do that next time. read more

Huge selection of tasty, well-made donuts! One of the better old fashioned I've had in a while. But be aware, they have no savory or meat options. And no seating (despite abundant space indoor and out) aside from skinny counters with stools along two widows. read more

What would be my insane reason for getting up this morning while it's still dark and cold? First, my spousal unit is out of town dealing with a family crisis. Second, I tend to cook too much food when I'm cooking for myself. Third, DONUTS!!!!!!! The place is clean. No crowd that early in the morning so I could take my time and there is an excellent selection of donuts. Oooooohhhh, donuts!!!!! Did I also mention they are (were) very good. read more

Excellent donuts. Large and fluffy. The cinnamon creation is the best and always fresh. . Courteous staff helps decision making on what to buy. Very nice clean establishment. Go for a taste while in Salt Lake as well. Would stop by and get a dozen on the way to the Utes football game. read more

Very excited to see this business open up a location in Layton. I have found that their donuts are exceptional and are priced VERY competitively with businesses turning out lesser donuts. A couple of great things about this location: 1 - They have a drive thru. If you are in a hurry or just comfy in your vehicle, you can order through the drive through. 2 - The selection and supply seem to be on point. I have rarely been there when the selection hasn't been excellent. Staff is friendly, donuts are great. What more could a person want?? read more

Best donuts I've had in Utah so far!! Very traditional and so good. Honestly crave them every weekend but only had them brought into work. Definitely a must try! read more

I wanted to leave as soon as I had to repeat myself multiple times because the employee who was helping me had a wireless headphone in and was giving me 10% eye contact the entire time and talking away from me and looking like they didn't even want to be working there. I didn't care to pick what donuts I wanted at that point. I just said to pick whatever and left. I won't be going back. read more

Excellent donuts. Saturday is baker's dozen day. Get early if you want fritters and cinnamon rolls. The workers were great and friendly.

What a waste of money . 13.00 for 6 donuts . I worked the donut industry years and these are way over price. They are making bank off of people that enjoy having a donut and coffee every now and then. read more

Yummy yeast donuts! Although I arrived later in the day, they still had a good selection to choose from.

I had the opportunity to try Banbury Cross Doughnuts again and YUM! They were delicious, light and fluffy! Some f my favorites are: cinnamon crumb, custard filled, raspberry filled, strawberry frosted, and raspberry fritters. The quality of these donuts are crap. This is the worst apple fritter I've ever had. Grocery stores have better. They missed an item from my order. What a disappointment and waste of money. We tried them all, except the one they missed. We threw the rest out. This location has ruined this brand. I'll spread the word. read more

Always amazing! These are our favorite donuts, but the cinnamon roll donut is the best!

This donut shop opened up a couple of months ago and even though it had been calling my name, every time I drove past it, I've ignored it until today. I purchased a glazed and a chocolate iced glaze for myself and a dozen of mixed donuts for the office, because I didn't want to share. The glazed donut was almost perfect - thick, fluffy and light. I loved it. Didn't love the other one but I liked it. There was something off about the chocolate. The employees loved the sprinkles, cinnamon, sugar and cake donuts that were in the box. There's a fountain soda machine in the shop and there's a refrigerator with bottled drinks. I saw a sign for coffee as I was heading out but I don't drink coffee, so....One dozen of glazed is $13.99 and mixed is $14.99. Ditch Dunkin and KK and give this place a shot! read more

Isaiah was such a wonderful addition to my morning! Super nice and helpful. Thanks Isaiah !

I see so much excitement for this "NEW" place; Is it because they are new to the area of non existent, non grocery store donuts, OK I get it, but I would drive to Bowman's in Kaysville for delicious donuts. We've tried Banbury twice at different hours, different days. Both times the donuts were greasy! Very clearly greasy by the taste. There was no fluffy, delicious hint of yeast flavor, the toppings are just blah, the glazes taste like watered down powder sugar. Service was great, friendly and inviting, go for the blueberry donuts, they were descent. And the location is great. read more

I go to this location between four and five times a month so today I got my usual Bavarian cream and Apple freighter so just common sense you want to put the heavier doughnut first in the bag so instead of doing that they put the apple fritter which is much heavier than the Bavarian cream so when I got home, I took out the apple fritter and the cream inside. The donuts was everywhere because the apple fritter squished it so it was kind of disgustingly messy so if anyone really reads reviews, you might wanna tell them if you order these two particular donuts to put the apple fritter first in the bag then whatever is cream filled on top so it doesn't get squished out not only that they never pick up their phone. Also, they might wanna work on that too. read more

Banbury has excellent donuts. I mainly like the cake type. They have different flavors of fritters which are better than most bakeries. I have a sweet tooth but eat half fritters. The donut holes are really good too. Inside is looking tired so not there for any ambience. No seats but love drive thru read more

I love the glazed , Apple fritter , and the twisted glazed , this place is where I pick up donuts for the ohana , the service at the pick up window is fast, and the place is well maintained. The one problem is that if your to late in the morning they run out, so you gotta order the day before or early that morning your picking up to get the donuts you like. I recommend the Apple fritter and glazed , but all of them are so good. Get the assorted so you know which ones you prefer. The only problem is I gotta work out harder to burn the calories.lol read more

The donuts are delicious and much larger than Kristie Kreme. On Tuesdays 6-8pm all donuts are $1 each. I hope they keep that up.
