My preferred location! I want to give a shout out to Alex, they have been the BEST barista I've encountered at a Starbucks EVER. And I've been to many throughout the entire country. I'm here virtually every day, Monday-Sunday, unless I'm in another area. My order is very rarely incorrect, and even then, they are quick to correct the issue. This location is always very clean, and I really appreciate the fact that they pay special attention to our troops, and honor them. Loving the holiday cups! I rarely go to the Starbucks on Hillfield as I am always in Target and just grab coffee there but when I am not wanting to go to Target I'll take a drive to the Starbucks on Hillfield. I did a mobile order so my order was ready when I got there, a little disappointed as usually my Togo orders have stoppers in them and my drinks would be in a carrier, today was not the case, so I had to do it myself. I ordered for myself venti hot white chocolate mocha my go to! A cookies and cream cake pop and iced cinnamon dolce latte, I got home and realized the cake pop was chocolate and not cookies and cream and the Iced cinnamon dolce was more watered down and couldn't really taste the coffee. I was going through the drive-thru ordered my coffee and realized that my check hadn't deposited. I got to the window and told them I'm sorry I can't pay for that and drove on. I've been to this location many times. Some of the employees are friendlier than the others, but no one is rude or problematic. Some of the younger employees in the past have been screwing around when they should have been working, but that's par for the course. Seating at this location can be sparse during busier times. Sitting in drive-thru as I type this. Been here 25 minutes and finally at the window, just to find out my order is wrong... again. This location is on my way to work/school runs, so I stop here often. Out of the 30+ times I've came to this location, my order has been given rather quickly AND correct no more than twice. TWICE! I suggest driving an extra 6 minutes to another location. I am a fan of Starbucks when I can't make it to The Daily Rise. I always get a Venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha. It is not as good as the ghost I get from TDR but it is a 2nd favorite. I love this starbucks location. I never feel rushed like I do at other SBs. I like the frappacinos as well. For breakfast I get their sausage egg and cheese on an english muffin. YUM-O. I consider SB to be fast food. There are way too many of them per capita but hey at least I'm caffinated! read more

I come here to get a drink before work. Every time I go in early and watch them craft my beverage, it is made incorrectly. Whether it is too much ice in the drink to not shaking the drink when needed to be shaken. There was one time I went in and watched a girl put in 2% milk inside of my soy latte, corrected her, when I corrected her, she gave me attitude and told me she made it with soy milk. I ended up having an awful allergic reaction. So sad to see this Starbucks get worse with their service read more

Convenient location, great food, all the classic & yummy flavored drinks synonymous with the brand. Made well and in good time. The staff here are so friendly & well presented, they remember your name & order and strike up an interesting conversation with the regulars. I love how convient the location is, but most times I'll skip getting coffee just because of the long lines. I'm giving them three stars because of the customer service I receive. It's the only reason I keep coming back. They are always so happy and pleasant. They always apologize for the long wait and when you pull up, if they can't speak right away they ask you to hold. This particular location has rude customer service. I went inside because the line for the drive through was 7+ cars long. I thought it would be quicker, I thought wrong. No line inside, went and ordered, paid, waited for the drive through line to clear before they even started making my drink. Made me late for work! Also the last 2 times I went(and hopefully the last) there was not please, no thank you, no smile. Needless to say I didn't tip and I normally do when a friendly encounter happens. Will be going across the street to World's End Coffee House. They have better coffee anyways and I feel better supporting smaller business owners. Screw this Starbucks! read more

While I've been visiting the Layton/Clearfield area, this has been my home SBUX for my pre-meeting addiction fix. The store sits on a surprisingly busy corner of Layton and seems to be on the work path for local military folks (lots of camo rolling through). It's a nice store with nice out door seating spots with snow-capped mountain views (snow caps in May boggles my desert-born brain!!) that this area offers. Staff seems nice enough and I have no complaints about the drink quality. I would recommend ordering ahead (and it seems many locals have figured this out as I've never seen so many people picking up their online orders) because this place is slow! Despite the flow of USAF folks and business travelers staying in the neighborhood of hotels within walking distance, this place has no sense of urgency. Super nice folks doing good work... Decidedly below average. I've been going there for a week while in town. This is the busiest Starbucks in Utah. The girl really messed up my order yesterday. I had a free drink card from the 25 minute wait on Sunday. She not only didn't credit my drink, she also charged me for the order behind me. Then she didn't know how to fix it. I told her to make sure it got credited. Looks like it didn't happen. The drinks are just OK. Can't wait to go home and get a good drink from My Starbucks! 7:10 am Starbucks not open at this location. Slowest service ever. I stood at the register for 10 minutes before anyone even realized I was there. 1 person was making drinks while 3 others were standing around giggling with a co-worker who dropped by on his day off. Add 20 minutes to get my very simple to make drink and then another 5 or so for the pumpkin bread. I had to basically yell to get someone's attention to tell them I was missing part of my order. Customer service issues and unprofessional "rep-remanding". Half the time my drink is made wrong. I have addressed it several times, but seriously get your shit together. This morning I went inside to get my drink because the drive thru was full and I stood next to the counter for a good 2 minutes while others walked by me and while other were making coffee. The nice Ro came up and took my order. In the middle of my order someone else (didn't have a name badge I could read) told Ro that she couldn't leave her station. IM SORRY I THOUGHT THIS WAS A CUSTOMER SERVICE BUSINESS. The manager needs to address this with the staff. If employees are helping customers what does it matter. I understand it's a numbers game, but I won't return to the location because of the problems I have had there. If I could give it negative stars I WOULD!! Worst Starbucks ever, no wonder the ratings are so horrible. Starbucks upholds if you're not satisfied with your drink return it, they'll make a new one. Literally waited twenty minutes for fresh hot coffee, which was not hot then had them make a new one which came out hot but watered down. I brought it to their attention and not one, two but THREE baristas wanted to debate my satisfaction, so after getting loud with them about my dissatisfaction, someone came to correct the issue very rudely. One of the perks of going to a Starbucks is knowing you're going to get a good cup of coffee with overly friendly bubbly people taking your order. However, every single time we've visited this location the customer service has been extremely lazy. Today, they've officially lost my business. One person besides my husband was in the shop and zero out of the 5 employees welcomed him or took his order. And when someone finally did turn to him they asked him to wait longer! I realize this isn't the worst thing that could happen but it was just another example from our experience here, where presentation and quality don't matter. However, employee with the dreads! You are the only reason we came back again. You were fantastic and friendly. But we will drive out of our way to avoid this Starbucks in the future. read more
