She asked me if I wanted milk, but in my mind I was getting something with milk already in it, so I said no. This is by far the worst KK that I have ever been to. If you are hoping for a several choices, this is not the place to go. They are never stocked even in peak business hours in the morning. They maybe have 4-5 different options. On top of that, the employees look disgusted to be working there in the first place. I drove through the drive thru and asked if they were honoring the free birthday dozen and the lady says "it doesn't work like that. it only works through rewards.". With no more information. I register for the rewards program and load the free birthday dozen in the app and go in store to redeem it and a teenage boy is really helpful. He asks the lady for help and she frustratedly pushed him out of the way to scan the reward and asks when I registered for the rewards program. I tell her in the car before I went inside. She then says "yeah, no. it doesn't work that fast" and I asked why it loaded in the app if it didn't work that fast and she proceeds to say "you can reach out to corporate". Ended up leaving with nothing. Great birthday I now see why this location has 2.5 stars read more

IT's National donut day and doors locked and you are told to go through drive through. You wait 10 minutes only to get cold, old, donuts. The glaze was deteriorating already. Had to have been made the day or two before. And folks, this was at 6:37am. Staff didn't even offer the promotional free donut and was frustrated when I asked to enter my purchase in the reward program Zero on all aspects of business. Save yourself the frustration. Despite the Krispy Kreme app indicating this location on Knightdale Blvd had "Hot" doughnuts, when I arrived 40 minutes after they had opened, none of the various doughnuts, including the regular glazed doughnuts were hot or even fresh. They had all been made most likely the day before and were on the verge of being stale. It was not a good experience. Also, the door was locked during regular business hours, preventing customers from entering the establishment. The only way to make a purchase was via the drive-through. Do not rely on the KK app for accuracy. Call this location first to verify if they truly have "Hot" freshly made doughnuts. Also check to see if they are allowing customers to come inside and browse before deciding on a purchase. I have always loved Krispy Kreme but this one is lacking. The customer service is always great but the selection of donuts leaves a lot to be desired. I like the raspberry and lemon filled ones but they are either always sold out, or they are filled with a half a teaspoon of filling. Not nice! Fill the donut with at least a tablespoon of jelly! So this is my closest donut shop and we go here a couple of times a month. My son and husband love donuts. Usually I have a good experience, but nothing to really write home about, but today I had an interaction with a staff that went out of the way to be helpful. I took my son in for a donut as a treat and decided to order one for myself. They were out of several kinds and I joked with the young man about having a "KFC" moment (because who hasn't been to at least one store that was out of chicken). When I drove around to pay he thanked me for being understanding about the situation (he said that people actually curse at him when they are out of donuts, seriously). Having moved from St. Louis, seeing Krispy Kreme is a comforting sort of continuity with so much change happening in my life. This little doughnut heaven is at its best when the "hot" sign is on. Get you some fresh doughnuts, pronto! The product is great no matter what creation you get. My favs are the original chocolate covered version. They also have decent smoothies. I mostly think Krispy Kreme is the bomb diggity. Except for its drive through. Normally, it is so slow that your frustration level makes you rethink why you are still in the car and not at the counter. Would be much faster. However, this location had a very quick drive through on a Saturday afternoon with several cars ahead of me. I was impressed. I went there today after a dentist office visit across the street, and the gentleman at the window was super friendly. While they were out of cake batter doughnuts (not a big deal, plenty more selection!), they had my favorite OREO doughnuts! But yeah, the guy at the window had great customer service - I wish I kept my receipt with me so I can give a shoutout. The drive thru takes forever. Twice now we have waited 15 minutes after ordering with only 1 car in front of us. Don't expect the Hot Doughnuts sign to give you the same experience as a "regular" locations. The donuts are boxed and kept in a hot metal storage unit where one would expect them to come off the conveyor belt. Classic Krispy Kreme. This was by far the cleanest and friendliest one I've been to in awhile. The staff working were really sweet and gave my two young daughters donut holes to eat whilst they made the life changing decision of chocolate sprinkles or the smiley face donut. Complete the trip with pretty slick looking retro hats for the kids and I'd say it was a success. The donuts were fresh and the brownie batter special was a gut killer but oh so beautiful. Great neighborhood Krispy Kreme, hot sign always on and fresh original glaze is perfect. They always run specials and change the flavor for seasons. Try the original donut shake...it's awesome. The staff is great with kids, always offering a balloon or hat. Several events/specials that give away free donuts.
