I hardly leave poor reviews because I respect businesses to operate in their own and best judgment--but this is level of food quality is (IMO) dangerous and outrageous. I ordered two Egg & Cheese bagels on plain, via doordash and both came with GREEN discoloration (google it for those unfamiliar) on the eggs. We've been going to this location for over a decade and it is continually declining-through no fault of its employees. The owner is cheap and doesn't upkeep equipment. The toasters break down several times a year and don't get fixed in a timely manner. Last year, the a/c was out for several days. The walls are dirty and you should take the silicon caulk away from the maintenance crew--they didn't know what they were doing. I was going to write a few weeks ago about the peeling tables outside that have NO UMBRELLAS-in the NC sun! There's actually one couple who brings their own umbrella! Now, however, this owner got rid of the outdoor seating!!!! Really? Do you not realize that there are families with little children and people with pets who sit outside your restaurant? We were bringing our dog every weekend for the last year, but now we will find a restaurant that values its customers! read more

Never thought I'd be writing this, but here goes! Today's bagels on May 4, 2025 were awful!! They were flat and tasteless. Something is way wrong! My husband went into pick up and said a large majority of the bagels were burnt and should have been thrown out. Ours were not burnt but not the usual fluffy ones we have been eating here. This became my favorite quick stop for a before work morning breakfast. Easy to eat on my commute to work. And the variety to choose from is plenty. 3 1/2 stars Yes, it's a chain, but the place was clean and inviting. They are not NY style bagels but compared to other bagel chains I have been to, the bagels are not doughy bread bagels. We were one of the first customers at 7:10 on a Saturday morning and we all ordered some type of egg sandwich. I tried the Skinny Zesty Egg White with an egg white, turkey sausage, and sun dried tomato spread. I did not like this sandwich at all. I could not stand the sun dried tomato spread which tasted like a weird tomato sauce. I scraped it off along with the sausage and ate the egg & bagel. Fortunately, husband and 13 year old thoroughly enjoyed their choices. There was not a huge coffee selection (i.e.lattes) but there were a few flavors and the hazelnut coffee was good. Flavored creamers would be a nice addition. Thankfully we were the first to arrive as a long line formed after us. The line did seem to move quickly. The staff was cordial and we were served quickly. No, I did not enjoy my choice, but I would definitely return to try other items. read more

This location is one of the best! Workers are friendly and helpful. I ordered a skinny zesty egg white sandwich I have them make it special order - not skinny on a different bagel and different cheese and the bagel light in color. Blake making my sandwich listened and made it perfect. The regular coffee was out and it would be ready in two minutes I went to sit down and Desiree at the register brought it to me as soon as it was ready- they are so nice and go out of there way to get things perfect. read more

I was reviewing the menu and the lady with red hair kept rushing me to order. Morning shift- where you wait on line inside the store and you are next. But instead of "we'll be right with you" you have to listen to the new manager in training story about when she was in fifth grade. This is what upsets me with these large chain restaurants Most have done nothing to accommodate the guests during Covid-19 Sure they have limited the table seating and wind you around like cattle to order chain made bagels However this is one of the restaurant chain that I'm sure has received Covid bail out money and what did the guest get for that ? I frequent this place often and today I'm absolutely disgusted. 2:40 p.m. March 11th 2020 the workers are wearing gloves touching people's food then working the cash register touching people's money and going back to touch people's food without changing their gloves. Absolutely disgusting and I don't even want to eat my bagel now. No wonder why everybody in town is sick change your gloves people. Touching the screen, touching people's food and touching dirty cash never once thinking about taking off their gloves or replacing them. I am absolutely disgusted. there should be one person working the register and another person working the food if they're not smart enough to change their gloves. Placed order over the phone, only to get charged extra for several of the bagels when my wife picked them up. They never told me that there would be an extra charge for some of the bagels when I placed the order. This was the first day they started adding the extra charge. But instead of telling people when they placed their order, they wait until you pay for them to tell you they're charging more. When I called back to complain about it, they basically said sorry you're upset, but that's just the way it is. They would not adjust the price and had no interest in doing anything to make me happy or keep me as a customer. They basically said they had plenty of customers and they did not need my business. Don't know what it is but that plain toasted bagel with butter or cream cheese from the street vendors is a morning delight! So, Bruegger's claims they do them "authentic New York style." Love this place, the cinnamon sugar bagels never fail to satisfy me, especially with some light cream cheese. Love love LOVE these!! Trying to bring myself to try some of their savory ones, but can't pull myself away from the cinnamon sugar ones lol. Only partial downside (for the Cary,NC location) is the staff-- they act extremely disgruntled towards most customers. Even though it is a chain I love this place. This location on tryon and holly springs road has friendly staff and fast service. Plus they always have 80's music playing ;) I love coming here with my family, kids get fruit and chips and I get a LOX bagel. Husband gets a more fancy bagel sandwich.
