Just in time with freshly made, hot and gooey donuts! On a work trip visiting our Maui location and went in to pick up some donuts for the team. Upon entering I was immediately greeted with a smile and offer of assistance. I got 2 dozen glazed and a special blueberry cake for myself (since we don't have on Oahu and it's my favorite!). The assistant who helped me was so friendly. Also, while she was getting my donuts, another gentleman working saw me checking out the coffee and asked if I'd like a drink. Such attentive staff! I got the donuts, paid, and didn't look in my bag until I got to the office and realized that she threw in an extra glazed donut with my blueberry cake one. Such a sweet, kind and unexpected gesture. We came to search out the Hawaii only special of pineapple fritters and it did not disappoint. Krispy Kreme isn't usually my number one go to because they are super sweet, but we had to stop in here. The donut is so soft and the pineapple flavor is significant throughout and in every bite. The frying area looks a bit dirty compared to ours at home but it is what it is. Stop in here if you get a chance. I've never seen coffee cake at a Krispy Kreme so of course we had to try that as well. read more

Only KK in the state of Hawaii located on the island of Maui right near the airport. Very convenient location. However, by the looks of the place the upkeep is getting neglected. Fortunately, the doughnuts are still what I've remembered them to be. You can watch the conveyor belt where the doughnuts come out. The workers seem to be engaged and the service was friendly and helpful. Hint: You can download the KK app and get a free doughnut for doing so. Fair is fair this is still a doughnut shop with consistent sweet treats. Hopefully they will do some maintenance on the facilities soon to spruce the place up though. read more

Like many other yelpers, you can't come to Maui without visiting Krispy Kreme! Whether you're bringing some back home or eating while visiting, you have to give them a try. You can't go wrong with the glazed. My favorite go to is the chocolate glazed because I have a bit of a sweet tooth. The donuts are so soft and the glaze just cracks after every bite. You'll be chasing the crumbs!! It's that good! You also can't go wrong with the prices. It taste great fresh but a even microwaving it for 10 seconds should bring its freshness back. We ordered 8 dozen glazed donuts to bring back home to Oahu. We got the box literally a minute after. Staff is friendly and service is extremely fast. I don't know why the donuts here are so good compared to the Mainland Krispy Kreme locations. I love that it's sooo sweet but still very doughy. Not like some other locations. Let me start out by saying the only problem with Krispy Kreme...is they're not on Oahu. (Lucky people on Maui, grrr) It has some of the greatest donuts I've ever had. Their glazed donuts are like eating cotton candy in a donut form. Tasty and very light. Of course after downing a few dozens, that may not be true for you. LOL! They have a wide variety of filled donuts, donuts with various toppings, etc. Easy to find (across the street from Costco, another favorite hangout of mine...) and the restaurant is always well kept and the staff is helpful and courteous. For those in a hurry, they do have a drive through window to speed things up. Yes, they do have bags for boxes of donuts that can be handcarried on the flight back to Oahu. (Thank goodness!) I eat Krispy Kreme Doughnuts quite regularly. I mean, it's kind of a go-to in offices, potlucks, etc. and really who could resist those delicious, calorie filled original glazed donuts? I'll happily eat a few in one sitting, just don't remind me how many calories I've over indulged in, please! Hehe. Anywho, we'll go through the drive-through every once in a while and on even more rare occasions, we'll actually step into the store. This last visit I went particularly for the Halloween themed donuts and they didn't disappoint! I got an assorted variety which included the halloween sprinkles, jack-o-lantern, monster batter, & trick-or-treat donuts. Omg, sugar overload, but so yum. My favorite of these was the trick-or-treat donut which is an original glazed donut dipped in salted caramel icing and topped with pieces of snickers, twix, and M&M minis. I die, I die. Get it, try it! We ate a few of the donuts inside and I was surprised to see so many people coming in after us. I guess everyone had the same idea. Seating is plentiful inside though and I loved the retro theme. Good place to stop in to enjoy a sweet treat for sure. They even have fresh brewed coffee, frozen lattes, hot chocolate, & drinks. This Krispy Kreme is shady af. They used to accept credit card, but all the times we went in the evening , suddenly the card reader is always broken, they said they are cash only. But it's been like more than half a year, and the card reader is still broken? Doesn't make sense. Sounds more like someone is trying to avoid taxes or workers in the evening pocketing cash. We came one evening, and they said cash only so we said okay and tried to get $45 worth of donuts with $100 bill, and they replied with they don't have enough cash for change. I asked if I could pick it up thursday evening before closing because i'm driving to Hana for a funeral at 4:00am. A must stop for me when in Maui. Why? Just because you can't get it on Oahu. I usually buy the two dozen special since it's cheaper. I get one dozen of the original packed in two 6 pack boxes so I can give them to friends. There's an unspoken rule that if you are visiting Maui, you must stop by Krispy Kreme before heading back to the airport. If you don't bring a couple boxes back to share with your friends, you'll never hear the end of it! Each one of us picked out a donut for ourselves. Luckily they were having a deal on two-dozen boxes, so we added those to our order. I got the chocolate sprinkle donut and it tasted pretty fresh, although we weren't lucky enough to get one just off the belt. (They didn't start on a new batch until we were leaving.) I noticed there were signs everywhere that said their coffee machine was broken, so they couldn't make most of their drinks. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I'm sure some people would be bummed that they couldn't get a coffee beverage with their donut. Everyone was outrageously excited when we returned to Oahu. Awesome customer service! Had a request from a relative to bring these back to Oahu and the staff here made it so easy for us especially in the light that we didn't have a rental car. The manager even offered to put a dozen freshly baked on the next Mokulele flight to HNL! Wow! Luckily we were able to get there & still make it back to Kihei to check out of our hotel in time to catch our flight. This use to be my favorite place to stop while in Maui but after my experience today, I was so disappointed in the service that my friend and I received. The donuts were delicious as usual but Trisha the employee who took our order was nothing but rude. She expressed no ALOHA what so ever and rolled her eyes at me multiple times while getting our order. Maui is the only island that has a Krispy Kreme and fortunately, it's near the airport so that's typically everyone's last stop in Kahului before heading to the airport and I'm no exception. They have a fairly large location and nice displays and a good variety of donuts that are fairly priced. Their coffee is pretty good but their iced coffee drinks taste like mostly sugar. Customer service was OK and they have a drive thru. The next time I'm in Maui, Krispy Kreme will be my last stop before going to the airport again. read more

They are conveniently located near the airport making it a cinch to pick up donuts for your favorite people back home on Oahu. But just be aware, everyone else on your flight has the exact same idea so give yourself a little extra time. I laughed, and said he must know we're local because of the huge Krispy Kreme bag we were hand carrying back. He laughed and said "Yeah, it's as good as a boarding pass" (that you are going to another island). $15.65 gets you 2 dozen Original Glazed Donuts. Keep them in the fridge (if they last that long) and reheat them in the microwave for 8-10 seconds just before you're ready to eat.
