She let me know that there wasn't exactly a Hawaiian exclusive drink per say but that I could get "Thai walls" where I order a drink and there are vertical lines of sweetened condensed milk along the insides of the cup. She was great. Getting the Thai walls in a pink drink didn't matter so much because you can't even see it when your drink is prepared in a paper cup anyways. The drink itself was good like normal. Lemon loaf was lovely, light and delicately sweet and citrusy. Inside the coffee shop itself is very stereotypical with everyone situated with a laptop I almost felt out of place eating and drinking without a screen in front of me. I required a fresh tasty beverage prior to boarding my flight to mainland. For some reason I was blessed by gods to not have a single person in line. The lady behind counter took my order and gave me a great smile. My order was a Strawberry Acai in Vente size glass. It's very refreshing and perfect a hot day like today! Shit service, no engagement from all 4-5 employees, especially the scrub named Alex who was right in front of my face and just all looked at me like I was dumb, must be a thing for military in uniform who protect our people right? You do know we are locals and do military part time one weekend a month? If any of these workers was under me, I definitely would be reprimanding and retraining on customer service, terrible service all around, as well as getting my order wrong on the food items that was pre-ordered on the phone which is even worse. -Freezing cold inside. -Music is blaring: background music in a café is fine, but when it's too loud to have a conversation without shouting then the music is too loud. -No outside seating: this is Hawaii and the outdoors is warm and welcoming, and this store even has space outside. When my drink came it was half filled, the other half was foam. I asked for no foam as I know this can happen. She said there's no foam in there. Rather than argue I just left. I realize that one wants to be conscientious about the environment and costs of supplies and all... BUTTTT the paper straws are no good and fall to pieces or break, the new paper compostable lids for drinks have simply gone too far. They are restrictive, flat with no design which impedes the flow of fluids out of the cup and not to mention you have to try to create a seal so that it doesn't leak. Sorry but that is a major failure. I will be going elsewhere until I hear there has been a change. read more

This has got to be one of my favorite Starbucks Coffee Shops in Kahului! Located in the Maui Marketplace mall, the coffee shop is tucked away just across the parking lot from the main mall area, just next door from a Jamba Juice. Service here is pretty friendly, and when I came in here to get myself a dark roast coffee, the Barista did a pour over for me & delivered it to my table when my coffee was ready. The thing I liked about this shop was lots of indoor seating within the coffee shop, and the shop was not overly crowded either. A perfect place for me to do my paperwork. I also notice there are some electrical outlets along the bar table seating area, so I saw a few customers hooking up their electronic gadgets in the electrical outlets. If I had one complaint about this place...........although I got great service & a freshly brewed cup of coffee, my coffee had a lot of coffee grinds in it..........I guess whoever made my coffee was a wee bit messy, and didn't cleanly filtered out my coffee properly. Aside for that small snafu, I really don't have too much to complain about, as I would easily come back here for the great atmosphere. read more

Conveniently located off Dairy Road in the Maui Market Place in the building where Burger King was formerly located. This Starbucks finally got the remodeling it deserved after being located next to Jamba Juice for some time. Newly renovated, you can find a sizable storefront which held ample seating prior to COVID. The drive-Thru runs as usual, continuing to offer drinks, food/snacks and merchandise. The drive thru line can get congested when they are busy, however it does move quickly. I personally prefer to come here when the Ho'okele location is busy. read more

I had absolutely a horrible experience. Not even sure how this manager is called a manager... I drive up to a window and order a double shot americano with half & half and nicely ask so its not scorching hot so I can drink it. What I got was a Scorching hot americano with no half & half. I returned to the drive thru, waited in line again, only to be greeted by the manager named Michele with attitude who handed me a cold americano... What.. are you serious? So I kept my cool and told her I'll walk inside and just get it. When I walked inside, she didn't even give me a chance to order what I wanted and started kicking me out of the store... I am far from being a Starbucks fanboy, but what brought us here was a meeting with our realtor. What better place to converse without being harassed for "table camping"? I asked my Starbucks fanboy friend which Central area Starbucks had the largest inside seating and he said here. Sold! ATMOSPHERE: Because this location is old school, there is no drive thru. Being that they're in the low occupancy Maui Market Place, there is tons of parking. The shop is bright and airy due to large windows that let in lots of natural light, along with a view of bustling Dairy Road. Seating is a mix of window counter, low tops and a few outdoor seats. The store definitely needed attention in between customers, something that was severely lacking as tables were dirty and utensils littered the floor. BEVERAGE: Vanilla Creme Frappuccino - $5.25 (grande) I swayed from my usual order and tried this coffee-free selection. Plain and simple, it tasted like vanilla ice cream blended with ice. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it wasn't overly sweet. The ice to liquid ratio was perfect. SERVICE: I received a greeting, friendly service and was thanked. Isn't good old-fashioned customer service easy, Maui? In reality, it's a rarity on this rock. Great job! OVERALL: Great location as it wasn't very busy (when we went). I hope they don't close when the drive thru store opens in the Puunene Shopping Center less than two minutes away. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks on Maui. They have great customer service and satisfying coffee drinks and snacks that I enjoy, especially during the holidays when they come out with their special holiday flavors like their pumpkin spice latte. The regular cafe lattes are my go-to drinks at Starbucks. If I'm in the mood for something sweeter, I go with a mocha. The baked goods like the cakes and muffins are good also. This location can get very crowded. To avoid the crowd and waiting in line, if you have the Starbucks phone app, you can use the app to load up a gift card to use for payment. You can literally order your coffees and baked items and pay for them with the gift card before you even get there. Then all you have to do is walk up and pick up your drinks and snacks. Out of all the Starbucks on Maui, I go to this one the most because of the service. It does get really busy so if I know I'm pressed for time, I try to do mobile order. Whether I do mobile order or just order at the register, I feel like 90% of the time the baristas there get my order perfect :) The baristas always ask how my day went and how I'm doing or at least smile when they take my order. And then my drink always gets made in a timely manner. Obviously if its busy it takes a few minutes longer but I don't mind. This Starbucks is also pretty spacious and I have spent a couple semesters here studying for finals. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. So lots of space to even meet up with friends. Ambience is important to me. And the cleanliness of this place is really nice and not once have I ever felt that it was dirty or unsanitary. There was a few of us on a tour bus, on our way to watch the sunrise, and we stopped at this Starbucks to grab a coffee before we headed up to the volcano. There was 7 of us who waited for about 10 minutes outside of the cafe for it to open up, and the employees inside saw us waiting. They proceeded to wait until after 4am to come out and tell us they're short staffed and can't take our orders. It was clear they just didn't want to work this early. My favorite Starbucks. I come here to study often and sometimes for a very long time. It is just a little farther than another Starbucks for me but I make the drive because I prefer to be here than the one closer to me. Employees are great especially James (I believe that's his name). I never feel judged or unwanted here compared to the other Starbucks, because the employees are either smiling or focused on their job.
