Cute donut stand in a strip mall. Donuts were made to order and came out nice and hot! Nice touch to choose your own glaze and toppings. Got one with maple glaze and churro topping, vanilla glaze with Oreo topping, and strawberry glaze with Mac nuts. Never would have known these were vegan--really tasty! Will def be back!

Chocolate churro and vanilla churro donuts (my parents snagged theirs out of the box before I could take a picture, LOL).

All vegan donuts, and all delicious! What more could you ask for? I was expecting cake donuts (because that is often what you find when looking for a vegan donut), but these surprised me by being apparently a yeasted type dough! They dunk them in the icing of your choice to order, and the donuts were so warm and fresh tasting that I'm guessing they have a donut fryer back there--how does all that fit in a little food stall thing? The donuts have a nice toothsome chew, a bit reminiscent of an old-fashioned donut with a fluffy yet denser batter, and old-fashioneds are my Dad's favorite donut, so if he was driving at the time, I know he'd have turned around to order more, LOL! I hope they spread over to Oahu so I can get them when I come visit my parents! But we will for sure be back next time we find ourselves on Maui, these are great!

Made to order delicious vegan and gluten free donuts what's not to love! Since we come from West Maui we order in advance to make sure they aren't sold out before we can get there.

Small mobile unit in a parking lot that makes donuts on demand. It was my first time but the menu is quite easy to order. You choose the glaze and toppings if you choose ($5). They were hot and ready within 3 minutes. They were cake like donuts, dense, but really good! Highly addicting.

Maui Ono Donuts is an all-vegan donut truck that parks in Kihei. These donuts are seriously phenomenal. Do not order coffee here though. Coffee is not their specialty. What makes these donuts so insanely good that I had to go back again on my last day? Let's discuss it. One of my favorite donuts in life is old fashioned. The reason I love them is because they have this crisp bite when you bite into them, and then the tender soft center. I don't know how else to describe the crunchy outer/soft inner situation. But these donuts have that! Not only that, but they make them fresh when you order them!!!! This was the freshest vegan donut I have ever had. They were so good.

Freshly made to order and served piping hot, absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, just perfect for me. Loved that it's vegan and vegetarian-friendly too. Amazing donuts and a solid five-star experience.

We picked up vegan donuts here a couple different mornings of our vacation. We placed orders on their website and they were ready to pickup at their food truck trailer. The process was super quick and convenient and we liked taking them back to our timeshare. Donuts were always hot and made to order each time. We did the "Ono Dozen" 12 donut variety box and it was a good mix of different icing/toppings and everyone in our group was happy. Delicious donuts perfect for vegans and nonvegans. We especially loved the ones with macadamia nuts and sprinkles.

Vanilla glaze and maple glaze all with mac nuts.

What's better than a donut? A fresh hot donut!! Delicious made to order donuts. Would highly recommend and would return if we didn't have to head back to the mainland.

Worth the wait. I'm not a big donuts person but these donuts are worth try. We grabbed a box of donuts on a Sunday morning with no line or wait. The gentleman working there that day was very friendly and efficient while we were there.

Don't let looks deceive you. Maui Ono Donuts looks like it could be just any other food truck tucked in an unassuming plaza, but these donuts hit the spot for any sweet craving you might have. We pulled in one morning and were already lured by the smell of fresh donuts in the air. As I stared at the menu in all my indecisiveness, the workers must have sensed my desire to order everything on the menu and kindly offered the Favorite Five option. (They further enticed me by telling me that they had just made a fresh batch of them.) The Favorite Five took my decision paralysis away as they curated a box of their tried and true flavors -- maple + churro, chocolate + mac nut, strawberry + rainbow sprinkles, vanilla + oreo, and plain + churro seasoning. We happily took our box, grabbed some coffee down the road, and munched contentedly on the beach. Each donut was warm and crunchy on the outside but oh-so-fluffy on the inside. The texture is more like a cake donut rather than the giant airy ones you might find at other donut shops. Soooo good and would definitely go back for more.

The absolute best donuts I've ever had ! Coming from LA, we have a variety of donut shops. But this is hands down the most delicious donut I've ever tasted. Do yourself a favor and visit them when in Maui. Service was also super nice. It's a truck so it's a grab and go type of ambiance.

So I've come back to Ono donuts several times to make sure my review was accurate and I still standby my comment that these are the best donuts I've ever had, no offense to my mother and her donuts. The service is prompt and they don't make your donuts until after you order them. The employees are super friendly and usually I have to wait a few minutes to eat the donuts because they're so hot. Crispy on the outside soft and delicious on the inside and I go for just powdered sugar so that I can get the full flavor of the donut. These are not soft donuts or glazed raised style, but more cake donuts. If that's what you like you won't find them anywhere better.

Wonderful, fresh, yummy VEGAN donuts made to order! So good! There is a Starbucks nearby and on Saturday it looks like a Saturday/farmers market happening in the same lot.

It was good to find a vegan donut that was not a cake donut. The maple glaze added a sugary taste to the fried donut taste.

It helps to order ahead but you will need to order the day before - they don't do same day orders. Also some things you can't order online like their musubis, etc. However you can still get their malasadas and croissants, etc. We tried all their malasadas and our favs were the coconut cream and the lilikoi (passion fruit). We also tried their mango bread which was moist and fruity (no chunks of mango in it though) and the lime pie which was lovely! However, I think the big surprise for me was that the malasadas are smaller than I expected. The first time I had a malasada was at Leonard's in Oahu which are like...the size of your hand. These are more like golf ball sized. They were still excellent but I think that just caught me off guard. But we still enjoyed them!

Really would be great for a nice post beach treat (or if you can put it in a cooler, a nice beach treat!). Lots of great pastries are available too - scones and other types of pastries as well!

I really like that I can select from the old world German Artisan collection and the Hawaiian Artisan baked goods. I snagged the Isabelle, a loaf of bread made of spelt (dinkel wheat, high in protein, fiber, and antioxidants) and rolled in an assortment of seeds. The texture is soft and the crust is slightly chewy. Just right and the taste is very satisfying. I can't bring myself to putting a slice into the toaster, though, because I don't want to risk losing any of the seeds. I'll be fine with the broiler and some butter. I also went for the Hawaiian Bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It has pineapple, toasted coconut and tiny soft raisins.
