I placed my order ahead of time expecting a smooth pickup, but when I arrived the staff told me they won't have any orders til after 8am . I placed the order the day before to just pick up and go . The worker said they don't have any staff to make my order . Why open at 6am and not have anything ready til after 8am . Staff seemed unprepared and offered no helpful solution. This was a huge waste of time and very frustrating. If you're going to offer advance ordering, you need to actually honor it. They couldn't find my order and asked me three different times what it was and then when they handed me my coffee, I knew instantly this is not what I ordered and when I said something, the girl rudely said well I can add whipped cream for you. It clearly was not what I ordered. Hoping the coffee was still good, I left. I mean how bad could an ice coffee be; absolutely terrible for those wondering! I will probably never go back. The service at this location is subpar. I placed an order when I arrived to the window. I was not greeted with a hello or anything just asked what was said at the window. I then repeated my order and paid. I was handed a box that was covered on one side with chocolate. I asked for a new box. The box was then walked away from the window to a side counter and returned to me with chocolate still on the box.. again this was handed to me with not a single word been spoken by the employee, Amariona I believe. They have closed the inside lobby to the public. This makes selecting donuts difficult as you can't see them as you are building dozen boxes. By the looks of what was the inside lobby (looks like it's being used as a storage area). While we were willing to wait in the long drive thru line there were several cars who pulled in and left as they were not willing to wait. So much for stopping for donuts and coffee before shopping. It seems this location has serious staffing issues. We arrived to see the lobby was closed (and from recent reviews, it seems it's always closed?). So we went around to the drive-thru. No one answered at the speaker for at least a couple of minutes, so when the car ahead of us left the drive-thru, we drove to the window. The woman at the window very curtly informed us that her shift was up, so she was leaving. I asked, "Okay? Is anyone else there? Are we able to place an order?" She said, "I don't know," and walked away from the window. No one else appeared to be our line of sight from the window at all, so rather than wait around in hopes that someone else might appear, we just left. Really want to give NO Star, but it's required to write a review. I was in the mood for a single donut and went to Fairview Hgts Krispy Kreme. NEVER AGAIN. I bought a single Chocolate Icing with Custard it was not a specialty it was a single SMALL donut. I went through the driver through and the person inside was unable to here with the speaker, so I pulled up and told her what I needed. She gave me a donut in a bag, NO NAPKIN for $2.53. Now I know costs have gone up, but this is ridiculous. On top of the price and the fact whey couldn't even give a napkin, inside of the donut as a drop (one bite) of the custard. DD open just a few buildings down I will certainly try them next time, but my opinion is Krispy Kreme is not what they were, and I will not waste my money or time on the chain shop that has zero customer service. read more

Unable to review food as none was received. Drive thru wait was 15 minutes with one car ahead of us. When that car sat at the pick up window for another 10 minutes before driving off empty handed, we pulled up and observed 4 employees standing inside chatting. I attempted to go to the Krispy Kreme in Fairview Heights in Illinois on 1230 November 23rd with my husband. We arrived there with a sign on the door saying that their lobby was closed that we would have to use drive through. So we proceed to the drive through and we try to place our order asking for 4 donuts in all. 2 classic crispy crème and 2 cinnamon roll and two hot coffees. After we rolled up to the window they said all they had was hot chocolate. No cinnamon roll donuts and they had no idea what donuts they actually had. It was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. If this is is how your stores are run then we'll be taking our business else where. I do like the product and the Fund Raising opportunity for good causes is wonderful. The problem lies with the employees of the St. Louis area stores. Forget trying to use your phone to speak to someone at any St. Louis or metro east location. The phone will ring 30 times and will not let you leave a message. I drove over to the Fairview Heights, IL store to resolve my need. Upon entering the store two employees were sitting in the dining area. One young lady was working the drive-up and one young man was working the glazing machine. No one addressed me when I came into the store. I stood for what seemed ten minutes was most likely five before one of the young ladies in the dining area asked what I needed. I presented her with my request and she disappeared to the back of the store eventually returning a true ten minutes later with the answer to my question. No other employee addressed me, made eye contact with me and at no time asked to help or offered a thank you for coming in. I do not expect a kissing-of-my-ring but some decent common courteously would be nice. At NO time did I show on my face disappointment, on the contrary I tried being vert friendly and appreciative only to be met with a dead pan face and no indication that my business was appreciated! This was a deeply disappointing experience that I won't repeat. I ordered 6 donuts and an apple fritter thru the app which should have been ready long before I arrived at the store. When I got to the window, my order hadn't been prepared at all. I had to tell the person at the window what I ordered, item by item, and they didn't even have all of them in stock so I had to settle for substitutions. On top of that, the donuts were hastily slapped together and worse, they were stale as well. As for the overall quality, the pictures can speak for themselves. My mom and I were on a return trip home from St Louis and weren't even expecting a Krispy Kreme to be in the area. We were actually looking for a Dunkin Donuts and saw the hot and ready sign and changed our minds. Glad we did. When we walked in the donuts were fresh on the line being glazed and we were greeted by a worker with a free fresh donut from the line. This by far made the entire trip worth it. We left with a dozen glazed donuts and a smile. The place was beyond pristine and everyone working were super friendly. Even the customers in line were chatting us up and happy. It was was like Krispy Kreme gives off this amazing vibe when the hot and ready sign is on. We will definitely keep this location on our radar when we're back in the area. read more

What is the use of ordering online if we still have to wait in the drive through. It has been 3 years since COVID, not sure why Krispy Kreme hasn't made adjustments. If the lobby is not open, which is wasn't then they should have a curbside pickup option or a spot for customers to grab their already ordered and paid for doughnuts.
