I just moved to Austin a couple weeks ago and decided to grab some donuts before work today. Put "donuts" in google maps and Krispy Kreme was the closest and in route to my work so I stopped in for the first time. I was extremely disappointed and disgusted to say the least when I tore off a piece of extra bread on my sausage and cheese kolache and revealed a huge nasty piece of fat sticking out of the middle of the sausage. So my sister and I went to the drive through of Krispy Kreme and we've had better service before from them but this time was way different. There was no one in line behind us and the guy taking our order was rushing us as we were trying to figure out what we wanted to get and also when we got our order they got it wrong for we ordered a dozen and only got four donuts. We didn't have time to check while in line because this guy was rushing us to get out of there. Now I know Krispy Kreme wants fast service and to get the orders out fast but don't try and set a whole new land speed record on serving donuts and getting them wrong. read more

Highly over rated. Donuts are nothing special. On a par with Dunkin' Donuts. Mediocre at best. The only reason to go to Krispy Kreme is it's the only donut shop in this part of Austin, and KK donuts are better than no donuts at all. Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts are the McDonalds of donut shops. In all honesty, you can find much better donuts at Shipley's. If you're bringing donuts for all your co-workers, I guarantee you'll be more popular if you get them at Shipley's rather than Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts. read more

Good staff, horrible management. So if you have any sort of special/large order, go elsewhere. The order was not ready as promised and I received an incomplete order. After multiple failed attempts to contact the manager (Nick) I had to rely on disputing the charge on my credit card in order to get a credit for what I paid for and never received. read more

I never leave a review but I felt I should warn anyone that chooses to go to any Krispy Kreme location because they got a coupon this is the second time this has happened to me so it is totally my fault but I forgot and went there six months later so my bad. Krispy Kreme is very misleading in their emails the email states 2 dozen for $13 and this is written right across a picture of the Halloween doughnuts But NO the Halloween doughnuts are not included they are premium doughnuts with a premium price $12.99 o dozen. I will no longer go to Krispy Kreme if they feel they have to be dishonest like that to their customer base to get business. Way to start off a new year I've been coming to this donut place for well over 15 years now and 90% of the time I'm given cold donuts only once in a full moon will that I do get fresh donuts here but today was really the worst I came in really looking for freshly made donuts and I even asked for some and the lady that took my order said oh I only have these from earlier in the morning. I had no other choice but to get them I had already drove all the way there to leave empty handed and I thought they might be somewhat warm but nothing it's like if they had been storing them in the freezer. I love this Krispy Kreme with every fiber of my being. It's a good Krispy Kreme in general; the employees are always nice. However, i just had an exceptional visit all thanks to Jackie. I'd had a super long week and just wanted a couple donuts since it was finally my night off. We went in after 10 pm, so I didn't expect to get the usual free glazed donut and I was totally fine with that. Ordered a half dozen to share and was sitting at a table watching them make fresh donuts, when Jackie came out and handed everyone in the lobby (it was pretty empty but still) a free donut. She stayed and chatted with each table, was super friendly and kind spirited. There's no way she knew what I stressful week I'd had, and this just brightened my entire night. This is a tough review. Love the doughnuts and coffee, BUT their drive-thru service is atrocious. In six years, there has only been ONE time when I have gone through their drive-thru and not been asked to repeat my ENTIRE order. I get that you might miss the coffee part of the order, or maybe the second item on the order, but everything? Every time? Seriously, I have gotten so annoyed that I have left three times because they ask for your order and then don't listen. The last time I went here, they asked me to repeat my order and said (direct quote here) "Sorry, we weren't listening." Yeah, this time, I reversed and promised I would NEVER return. Love KK! I never ever had Krispy Kreme before mov my to Texas...as I am from NY/CT....and there are barely any up there. I went here on a cheat night. Got 12 donuts. 8 gone within the first 30 minutes if that hahah! They were AMAZING! They have such a unique taste. Quite different from Dunkin...anyway, after that first great encounter I have been back to this KK ever since...about once every 4-6 weeks maybe. Worst experience ever and worst follow up regarding issues at the Stassney Lane store We had a special holiday event planned, coordinated and paid in advance for KK service, set up and delivery. This was a big deal, over 300 special order holiday donuts, two giant tiers (we paid in advance to rent) for the display, etc. Jackie was very nice, informative and assured me everything was on track. On the day of the event, they (KK) were a "NO SHOW". Our beautiful tables sat empty and our group became the joke of the days events! Of course, it was Jackie's day off, so no one at the store new what to do, or what was going on. When asked to speak to a manager (Tony), I was told everything from him not being in the office, to him being out on delivery, to him having a family emergency... ??? Nothing but a run around, had to call corporate, who (Sara)was very nice, but again NOTHING. I even asked to speak to the Franchise owner, or to have them call me directly. No call back, no explanation, just complete and utter embarrassment for our event. I spoke to no less than eight people during this debacle and no one had a clue what to say, or what to do.
