ALERT HOUSTON !!! I hired GRADY B to cut a piece of bead board to glue behind on the wall of the…read morehalf bathroom under the stairs. Not a hard task. Well, what a disaster this person is. First, he is very old and he and his brother stink so badly it's offensive to come into someone's home with that stench. They miscalculated and cut the bead board wrong and had to go to purchase another piece. Instead of installing one full piece of board, which was the goal, they split the board down the middle. It looks like bullshite and very amateur. Grady B scratched up the side wall and knocked a little chunk out of the sheet rock. To continue to make matters worse, Grady B broke a large candle stick with his bulky ladder that was actually moved out of the way for safety. He didn't tell me he broke it, not did he confess about the scratched up wall. After 3 hours of blunderbussing around I asked him to leave. He broke my property, ruined the wall I have no touch up paint for, and installed the bead board incorrectly. I won't even mention that Grady B completely misunderstood a request to hardwire lights on the dining room wall. I dont like to be ugly, but this person is also one of those obnoxious " know-it-alls" that doesn't know squat and is not worth the risk and aggravation to have in your home to fix, repair, or install anything. Don't trust this persons skill level.

After I talked to the others, I went with Diego. He had good reviews and has Yelps guarantee. From the time I spoke with Diego, he had one of his installers at my house in an hour. The installer was professional and had my fixtures installed in about 2-1/2 hrs. Pricing was good. The installer had to go to Home Depot and get some water lines. There was no up charge for these items - he gave the that invoice. My next project will have a call to Diego and Vayeyo.

Amongst everyone contacted me, Kirby seemed more genuine and professional in the replies. Time went by with another artic freeze last December. Ok, time to revisit my request. I messaged Kirby on Yelp. He remembered our conversation and replied right away, as usual. After I sent him the pictures, he quickly replied with a quote. Then, he agreed to show up on my day off. My husband wanted me to fix the front door since the freeze we all endured over 10 years ago. I tried my DIY fix from foam patch to stuck some towels, to seal the seams with packing tape to adding a drape... Yaddi yadda. Ok. Time to call a professional. Because it's an exterior door, it has to be fiberglass door because steel door will conduct temperature from outside. Hot out hot in and cold out cold in. No lying. I researched before agreed to get it installed. Also, because of the door frame had been badly damaged with years of abuse from the weather, everything has to go.
