More like NO HONEY NO! I moved into my home in March and quickly found Brandon on social media applications advertising his services. I had a laundry list of things I needed and wanted done, as well as wanting to maximize what I was getting done for the money because funds were tight since I had just settled on my home. The first couple of tasks were done reasonably quickly and during those first couple of visits, we got to talking and I really respected Brandon and his story. I was excited at the prospect of getting to know him better and his completion of the tasks we had outlined. One major item was relocation of the backyard fence from the entry of the back yard to a new entry point at the front of the house. This way there was to be no confusion with neighbors and their dogs what was community property and what wasn't. But after the fence was torn down Brandon never showed back up! That was in April. I told myself I was not going to go public with how horrible I have been treated for six months and I have logged COUTLESS phone calls asking for a face to face meeting simply to run through all this man now owes me.
You see I was STUPID! After he saw the SUCKER tattoed on my forehead, he not only got me to offer full contract balance up front, he borrowed an additional $1k+ due to hardships he was having and I was assured I would be reimbursed at the "end of the month" because he was simply running short.
When I tell you the guy was hurtin' from a whole string of bad luck, he was! But now I don't even know if any of the BS he told me was even true. The only excuse I wasn't given for him not returning to do what he was contracted to do was that his dog ate his homework! From a death in the family, to friend wrecking his truck to the stolen tools, I tried to remain compassionate. But this guy is simply too busy to even man up and come sit down to go over all that I am out from the simple cash he owes me that he borrowed, but I had to pay hourly rates TRIPLE what he had charged me to get an emergency contractor in to rebuild my fence because he simply blew me off. I called and explained that the HOA was demanding it be completed in 3 days for it looked like shit with the lumber just thrown on the yard. He could have cared less.
In addition to the above, every time he came to work, on the couple of tasks he started, he never cleaned up before walking out. This was work in my bedroom, in my stairwell, and kitchen. Three parts of my home I use every day. Normal contractors would clean up after themselves. I would never have even mentioned this but it gets at the whole pattern while working and attitude this young man took after he got the money he could from me, he was DONE!
My phone calls have not been returned, he never has even followed up on any of this. When I would call and patiently explain how I simply wanted to sit him down to show him the work that was completed which was supposed to be his work, he blew it off! Then I wanted to show him the invoices for the work done and what I was out thanks to him. All I heard back were crickets....
I thought Brandon was a man of his word, a man of integrity... But for me, all he is is a good story teller (I don't know if anything he shared was fact or fiction) a con man, and a coward who can't come and explain himself face to face with the guy he WILLINGLY took money from, but has taken no effort to pay back.
Brandon, this all could have ended with a good rating and a glowing write up as a result of how you handled yourself after all of your "unfortunate" incidents, but instead you decided to just ignore me, I am thinking, hoping I would just go away. This review pains me to write, but going six months to not even TRY to make things right is deplorable. To scam someone in your own community has got to be one of the most reprehensible things anyone can do where they are trying to make a living, trying to get started, and naïve to the process for they are new in town and literally knew no one. A prospective client needs to have a level of trust and confidence and with this job alone I think you have shown that you are deserving of neither.
Run don't walk from this smooth talker. I think he knows what he's doing but you will be lucky to get him to finish. read more
