First off, Naomi is amazing. She started off my visit with a brief consultation about my desired lash look. The extension application was so comfortable that I slept through most of the process. As for the results, I finally understood why lashes are a necessity for so many women. The lashes really enhanced my look and were exactly what I asked for! My lash tech is Camille and she is the best ever. She's professional, punctual, welcoming and a master lash slayer. My lashes are always done for at least 3 weeks and then I visit Camille for a fill. She is always learning more about lash care, she shares her knowledge with her clients and she will have you in and out quickly, while doing a quality job. The Wink'd ladies offer mobile service and you can visit them in their convenient Silver Spring location. Mobile service is convenient because you can relax and be pampered in the convenience of your own home. The Silver Spring location is gorgeous, inviting, comfortable and clean. (If you're not familiar with a salon plaza, it's when one commercial building is divided into dozens of tiny, independently operated salons -- think: separate little salons for nails, hair, brows, etc. -- all in one building.) Now I'm not a very hairy person, but my brows needed a quick shaping and touch-up. The threader (whose name I didn't get) was very efficient and thorough and gentle. So $12 plus tip later, my brows look great! A few tips for first-timers: call ahead first and make an appointment. Even though walk-ins are welcome, the shop is not always open for the full run of its advertised hours. So you should call ahead and make sure someone will be there before just assuming you can pop in and get your brows (or other body parts) threaded. Also, street parking is hard to find, so go ahead and park in the attached parking garage. The shop will validate your parking, so that will be free.

"Just dip" does not mean you can't have cool designs or tips. It is just an alternative to acrylic that is healthier for your nails. Trust me. I won't steer you wrong. David is a true artist and approaches your nails like a canvas. I happen to have lots of pictures of what I want my nails to look like, but lack the creativity to design them myself. No worries. David is literally a "nail artist." I gave him a few colors and told him to do what he does...I trusted him, and he delivered in a big way.
