DO NOT go here for an eyebrow wax. I ended up with extremely uneven brows. One of my eyebrows had a 1/4 of an inch taken off that shouldn't. Who knows how long this will take to grow back. Would NOT recommend. There are many other great salons in the are. Stay away from here. read more

Love it ! I can't believe how different I look with the lash lift & tint. Patience did an amazing job. She was careful and skilled. And also comfortable to talk to (and be silent with as she did her work). You know how sometimes that can be awkward ? Not at all here. Nice little studio in a larger salon facility. The process felt funny at times -- just having someone handle your lashes and skin -- but never uncomfortable. As one who had been playing with the idea of lashes, once I saw the Gilt City ad, I thought "why not?" Patience is amazing. First of all she is just plain pleasant to be around. She also does good work. That combination is nearly impossible to find nowadays. After my first initial install, I did a horrible job maintaining my lashes. I love my lashes!!! I have short and straight lashes that never hold a curl for long with an eyelash curler, so when I heard about lash lifts I had to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Patience has her studio in a convenient location within walking distance of the Bethesda metro station. She was super friendly and easy to talk to, explained the process to me, was gentle and careful in the application, and made my lashes go from flat to a beautiful curl. She suggested if I was interested, in getting a lash tint too, because even though I have dark eyelashes (dark brown), a black lash tint can make them look fuller and like I have mascara on, even when I don't. I tried her suggestion and I can see a big difference! Before I left she gave me tips for aftercare (don't get lashes wet for 24 hours, and also avoid mascara during that period).
