    Thanksgiving sandwich
    Julian P.

Pro: portion sizes, freshly carved turkey. Grow: overall texture. Thanksgiving in July? I think yes! I've been traveling in Baltimore and was in need of a light lunch. I stumbled across the Lexington Market and this specific sandwich spot stood out to me. I loved that they have giant turkeys on display and you can see them carving out the turkey. The service was wonderful and fast. The sandwich itself was about $12 and was packed. Food: I was debating between the thanksgiving sandwich or the turkey BLT. I decided to give the Thanksgiving sandwich a try given it was very unique. The sandwich had a layer of cranberry sauce and stuffing and was stacked with turkey! For $12, this was such a a great deal, I opted for potato bread and although it was good I think it was a bit too soft and the texture was a bit off of the overall sandwich. I think a crunchier bread would suit this sandwich better, perhaps they can toast it? Overall, this is a great spot for a yummy and affordable lunch.

2nd stop on my Lexington Market tour was for a turkey sandwich. This place sells sammiches ;) omg it's enough for two honestly so I ate half when I get got home the other half later. You have tons of toppings options as well as bread. I will say I was expecting a thicker bread for such a massive sandwich. Service was friendly and helpful. We both had a laugh and I see why they stay busy. Again use market seating. I've found my favorite turkey sandwich spot!

As I was checking out the wide variety of food vendors, the roasted turkey's on display caught my attention. A great find. I opted for the turkey dinner which was shared with three people. It was bang for our buck. Very tasty, fresh and a nice Thanksgiving type meal in August

    Thanksgiving Sandwich on Kaiser Roll

The best turkey sandwich I've ever had in my life! The workers are very amiable and sweet. The kaiser roll was so soft and the most impeccable combination with all the burst of flavors.

My wife was intrigued by the fresh oven cooked turkey that was being carved in front of the customers with each order. She was even more intrigued by the Thanksgiving sandwich on the menu. So she went with the Thanksgiving sandwich with her choice of bread for her lunch. The sandwich contained layers of carved white meat turkey, a thick layer of stuffing, and cranberry sauce. I took a bite and it was absolutely delicious, tasted just like Thanksgiving dinner between two slices of bread. I think it costed $11.95, with it. Definitely we will return.

Stop what you're doing and run, don't walk, to Krause's Lite Fare. This restaurant specializes in Thanksgiving style turkey meals and assorted sandwiches. If you like thanksgiving cuisine, you can get it all year round here. Admittedly, I was enticed by the Turkey but opted for an ol' reliable: chicken salad sandwich. I spiced it up with Salt, Pepper, Old Bay, avocado and bacon. It was and is one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I have ever had. The quality of the chicken is immediately apparent and the flavor is really delicious. To top it off, prices are well in my range. A basic sandwich will likely not exceed $10 and for a meal you can get with less than $20. Beware: the portions are huge and glorious! I have already come back and reordered this sandwich twice, and there will be more visits to come...

I've always wanted to try Krause lite fare since before the new Lexington market. so I happen to be in the neighborhood and decided to stop by to try it out. I got the turkey dinner. The turkey dinner consist of sliced turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans. You get a nice portion for $16.91. The meal can use a little more flavor or just a bit more salt and pepper. Maybe I'll try the sandwich next time.

Krause is a common German surname and American soldiers in WWII would refer to the Nazi enemy as Krause sometimes. Anyway, Krauses Lite Fare makes amazing turkey sandwiches. Get a basic one, or step up your game and grab a Thanksgiving Sandwich (juicy carved turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce). I recommend getting it on a roll with mayonnaise and salt/pepper. Or, just get a straight turkey dinner plate even if it's not November. The prices are fair and service is relatively quick. There isn't really a line since it's bakery style where you just walk up the counter and get the attention of one of the workers. I'd definitely come back for that juicy fowl meat!

Been eyeing this place for a while in the Lexington market. Finally decided to try it out for lunch. Ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich on potato bread. So delicious! For sandwich, bag of chip and bottle of soda was about $11. Great lunch and would definitely stop by again to try other menu items.

Come on how can you not love this place? Fresh roasted Turkey carved to order just like thanksgiving. I don't know if its exactly light fare, but it was delicious and not greasy or extremely fattening. The Turkey was juicy and perfectly cooked, the potatoes were purely potatoes, beans were traditional, the gravy was simple and delicious, lastly the stuffing was only ok. The experience when you come here is really fun. Ordering in the market, eating here, it's just truly Baltimore. My mom suggested just getting their meals for thanksgiving this year, the turkey might be better than hers. Also you can't beat the price for the portion. Also heads to people who want to eat but aren't that hungry, they do serve half sandwiches.

Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!

Closest thing to a New Orleans po'boy in Baltimore…read more The Catfish Po'Boy here is no joke. Kimchi-brined fried catfish, remoulade, capers, lettuce, tomato and red onion on a sub roll -- it immediately reminded me of Mandina's on Canal Street in NOLA. That's about as high a compliment as I can give a po'boy outside of Louisiana. My partner had the Heirloom BLT and loved every bite. Fresh heirloom tomatoes, arugula, sprouts, herbed avocado mayo on wheat -- simple and done right. Chuck's has that perfect Hampden energy: unpretentious, a little quirky, genuinely good food. The counter seating where you watch everything made to order is a nice touch. Grab something from the bodega side on your way out. Show up Tuesday for the po'boy lunch special. You won't regret it.

I can confidently say that everyone that recommended this place was right. I had the Seoul skillet with pork belly, kimchi and mushrooms and wow, was it good! The flavors melted perfectly and it was the epitome of a well balanced breakfast. Service was fine - a bit slow, but they were incredibly busy, so I don't fault them at all for that. One thing I do hate is having to continuously ask for my water to be refilled, and I was left with an empty glass quite often but again, they were swamped so I do understand. Ambience is very interesting here, I don't know that I have ever been to a more eclectic restaurant. The decor is all over the place but it really does fit the vibe so I say this with zero negativity. It's quite tight in the space but that's totally fine. Overall I will 100% be coming back and would recommend anyone else do so.

And they were bagging it. After about 10 minutes of waiting. I interrupted the chatter and asked if my sandwich would be coming soon (at this point it had been 20 minutes since I ordered). She then asked me my name again and then grabbed a bag that had been sitting in the counter for some time and handed it to me.
