My tires were worn unevenly when I arrived because of a previous alignment issue, but I paid a shop to fix this last year (which I told him), so this was entirely unexpected. I would not have bought the warranty if I they had mentioned this before I gave them all my savings. I might not have even bought a whole new set of tires until I could have gotten the alignment fixed. I also didn't feel respected generally during my visit as a young woman. I fumbled very briefly (~5 seconds) connecting the pen magnetically back to the top of the keypad after signing something, and he took it out of my hand and did for me (rude, first of all) and said "it's a magnet." in what I felt was a very demeaning way. He's tired, and it's late. I order them off Tire Rack for $596 with installation at Discount Tire that Saturday, feeling proud of myself. Whoops, too soon. When we go to have them installed Saturday, Discount Tire seems mystified re why we had them shipped from Tire Rack and why we bought them from the Tire Rack. Turns out they DO have them in stock, and with installation, it's $447--$149.00 less for 4. Wtf? I contact Tire Rack and they write back, "oh, sorry, we can't refund difference." Contact Discount Tire, and they're like oh, sorry." Not sorry--I want the $129 difference in price of tires refunded (actually, I'd like the entire $149 refunded) Is this just a "let's play a switch and bait game with the consumer" or what?
