How 'bout them big-boy pants? Some humility would go a long way young man.

I was looking for more than a handy man who could advise me on fixing up my place to make it even more livable and secure. From the first visit to provide me with the quote, I could already tell that I am talking to an experienced contractor, who would not easily be daunted by projects that may seem complicated for me. Thomas was punctual, professional and knows what he is talking about, someone whom I feel I could trust to handle and I gave him the contract rightway. The work done met all my expectations:timeliness, quality and good value for money. As one of the reviewers mentioned, Thomas is responsive and very efficient. I would highly recommend him to all my friends. Thank you, Thomas!

I first hired Malaga Landscape to build stone steps down a steep section of my yard. Ricardo…read morerecommended a great material and tied in the steps to the existing landscaping with new plants and mulch. While he was working, I extended the job to include an additional mulched area under a new trampoline, which he did without issue or extending the timeline. All of the work was great quality, and I was very happy with the price. Since he did such a good job and came in under budget, I called him back a few weeks later to build a ground level deck off of a backyard shed. Again, Ricardo was very easy to work with, and planning out the design felt like a natural dialog. When my wife saw the footprint of the deck in progress, she asked for a couple of changes, and Ricardo was able to accommodate without changing the timeline or the budget. All in all, Mr Malaga Landscape was a great find, and I know I've got a contractor I can rely on for any future outdoor construction.

You would ask a simple question and get looked blankly. The work area safety was a disaster. Pictures will be included. They showed up at 7:15-7:25 AM. Upon arrival they needed to get inside for what I haven't a clue. Fairfax county has a noise ordinance stating work can't start until 8AM. If your so unlucky you will deal with Carl. Carl is the most cocky character. He doesn't know code. He claims he does. He claims he inspected the area to bring it up to code but missed a massive code violation. Fairfax County missed it as well but I already knew they were useless. So if you want to hire a company and roll the dice that you pass final inspection this is your company. If you want your property taken and then a cocky response that he's in 200 homes a year this is your company. They took a tarp that wasn't theirs and probably a watch. The tarp was returned but according to Carl they don't take anything. I can't speak for the value. The job was done on time but with annoyances. The kicker is he allegedly wanted to charge trip fees. Let's see some I-9 forms for your employees then we can discuss trip fees

Josh from Alger Sheds was quick to respond and come out to provide an onsite estimate. Our project was unique in that our shed needed to be constructed onsite due to access issues. Josh was informative, non-pressure and detailed with the quote and build process. He spent time explaining the different options and pros/cons of each. Once we signed the contract with Alger, we were told about 5-6 weeks for the shed to be installed. Alger delivered and installed the shed in less than 4 weeks. On the day of the install they were on time, respectful of our property and left the job site clean. They completed our 10x16 shed in one day!! Since I had already contracted my business to another contractor I did not immediately respond. But after a second inquiry asking for an opportunity to solve my issue I did respond that the job was already arranged with someone else. I am very pleased to know that the posting of my displeasure of their seeming disinterest precipitated a genuine response and willingness to correct what might have been simply a "dropping of the ball" I will consider Alger Deck and Fence in future for their help with similar transactions. I have increased my rating.

I have been renovating our house that was built in 1950's and I am nearly finished. I previously…read morehired All Renovations to update my two upstairs bathrooms with the 1950's tile where they did a superb job. Additionally, All Renovations also built a front door portico addition and a detached two-car garage. Now that I am working on the basement, I decided to go with All Renovations again to update the basement bathroom; and again I am very happy with the results. The basement bathroom was in the laundry room with a washer, dryer, cabinets and a water softener system making it a tight squeeze for the space. Upon viewing the construction options with Adrian of All Renovations, he thought of moving the water softener system to an adjacent hallway closet. This allowed dividing the space into a separate bath with a nearly 3' x 6' shower while maintaining a full laundry room with a utility sink as well. Adrian with his "can do" attitude was a real champ at getting the work done. He also is very detailed with his work and makes sure things are completed correctly - a true compliment to the All Renovations team. If you are considering hiring professionals for your home improvement project, you won't go wrong with All Renovations. I am very pleased their work and I recommend them with full confidence.

I'm a bit puzzled by the owner's response as they should be able to see from their own email system…read morethat they had not replied to my last email. Since that email contained critical conditions for repair (see review above), the lack of a reply made it unclear that repairs would be made at all. However, since my review, they reached out directly, gave an explanation for the delay and told me that I had been in the queue for repairs. Unfortunately, since it had already been months since the project finished and I had not received a reply to my last email, I had already begun to handle the warranty issues myself. I appreciated their subsequent offer to reimburse me for my time and effort on warranty repairs and their statement of intention to address the additional claims (which they said that they had not addressed until now as they had hoped to handle them at the same time as the warranty issues). The star rating in this case is for their improved customer service, but the original review for the work on the project remains unchanged. [I also want to address the implication in the owner's response, which is that posting a negative review is only used for dispute resolution. I was not using it for that purpose, as should be evident from the fact that I had moved ahead with repairs, nor do I think that that's a good reason for a review. Sharing experiences is how people learn, and detailed reviews can be useful for homeowners in preparing for home repairs, whether or not they use the reviewed provider. The more information provided, the easier it is to assess a review's value and apply it to one's own situations if useful. ]
