We felt like he always kept us updated on progress, kept the three week project on schedule, asked for feedback and was open to our small design additions as the project progressed. The crew that were at our house M-Th for three weeks were all fantastic. Their work and craftsmanship were excellent, they were super friendly, and they cleaned up every single day before they left the job site. We are so happy with our new porch/walkway/driveway.

I want to preface this by saying that we had Custom Stonescaping re- do our back porch a few years…read moreago, and they did a great job and we had a great experience with the person in charge of the job. So, we decided to bring them back this year when our front walkway was quite literally falling apart. Pros: they do good work. Cons: the crew will pee on your property. Not in a bathroom. Outside. And then they will lie about it. To add more context- the crew was working on my FRONT walkway. They made it a point to let themselves in my BACK yard through the gate, walk to the corner of my yard where my shed is, move a gate that was blocking a space next to the shed, and peed there. Several of them did it the second they began the job. The owner doesn't care and will turn it around to make you look like the problem. So, if you're cool with that, then go ahead and move forward with them. However, know that you'll be paying a premium price for a company and project crew that couldn't care less about disrespecting you or your property. Just an honest review. It's unfortunate, but if that's how Jeff wants to run the business, then that's his problem.

They were professional, arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept me informed throughout the project. They also cleaned up thoroughly before leaving, which I really appreciated. Their pricing was fair, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing excavation, grading, or site preparation work, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

A spectacular transformation -- thoughtful, skilled, and the communication was great!…read more After a difficult drought last year our grass burned and soil runoff became a real problem. B.Hernandez Landscape delivered a spectacular, well‑managed solution. David coordinated everything with excellent communication especially with additional requests; Benito and the rest of the crew were punctual, respectful, and clearly skilled. They removed excessive tree roots, trenched and built a sturdy retaining wall to protect the tree, regraded the yard to ensure proper slope for water runoff, and created two attractive flower beds with enriched soil and black mulch. They laid sod across multiple curb strips and the front of the house, carefully blending seams and finishing edges. Their quote was by far the fairest among five contractors we interviewed, and the workmanship shows it. With extra sod available they even took additional time to install over a curb strip for me. They cleaned up meticulously and even power washed the sidewalks. This team went above and beyond to support my request. The pride they took in this job is obvious -- I'm extremely grateful and proud of my front yard. Highly recommend B.Hernandez Landscape.

Everything was cleaned up beautifully at the end of the day -- the property looks tidy and refreshed. The value for the price quoted is outstanding. I'm really happy with the work and looking forward to continuing this partnership with KD Landscaping through the spring, summer, and fall. Highly recommend!

Initial hardscape design and installation about 5 years ago = 5 stars…read more Last two years = 1 star. Paver repair took 2 years to complete. Received 3 site visits from Jonathan over the final year. The estimate for repair work was vague and required me hammering out a scope of work for the quoted fixed cost. Received the final site visit one day before the repair work, which was then completed nicely. Days later, received an invoice for 150% of the quote with no explanation. When I balked, Jonathan said that it was not a fixed-cost event (it was), further degradation may have occurred since the site was last visited (24 hours earlier) and he did not know how long the work would take until it was completed (after 3 site visits). After a well documented summary accounting of phone conversations, e-mails and site visits submitted to the company owner, the original quote was honored. Yet the owner never replied to or attempted to contact me regarding the negative experience. Again, years ago, great experience. More recently, very shifty. Be prepared to document everything and advocate for yourself. But that battle is "Time & Material" on your part...

They delivered excellent craftsmanship and top notch design experience at a fair price. I initially hired Gerber to tune-up all my existing pavers, add a new paver driveway, and add some new path lighting. Adding the new driveway was somewhat of a challenge as the adjacent paver sidewalks were initially constructed over 10 years ago. So, Gerber was able to find a great match to my existing pavers and masterfully piece the new driveway together in such a fashion where old and new appear seamless. Amazing!!! During the process, we learned that his team also offered landscaping. So as the hardscaping and lighting was coming to an end, his team met with us for a design consultation. Both Kathy and Katherine brought some great experience/knowledge to assess our current situation and offered wonderful ideas to the overall design. We loved what we heard and proceeded with the landscaping work immediately. In the end, we could not be happier! And we look forward to using Gerber and his team should we have any additional hardscaping, landscaping, or lighting needs in the future.
