Came here to catch up with an old friend and to eat lunch. We had the edamame to start and I had the shoyu ramen. In my opinion, the bowl was kind of small. Service was really good, with the server giving me refills on my water several times.
Rating: 3.5 This restaurant is located inside of a bigger warehouse type of building and truly does feel cozy once you're inside. In the colder months, all I crave is Ramen, and I am always looking to try new places. I have seen this place in passing while going to another restaurant in the same building and finally decided to stop by. We got the combo with the bao bun. I got the chicken karaage bao bun which was very good, it even came with a little salad which had a super tasty dressing. However, only the ramen itself didn't hit the spot for me. I got the spicy miso ramen as I always do, this broth just wasn't doing it for me. It didn't have enough salt, I actually needed to add some myself. The bite of the noodles were great though! The service here was phenomenal and very homey which i really liked.
Needed a quick bite to eat before heading home and this spot came up in my vicinity. You have to walk inside of the building to get to it. I was sat down quickly. They were super kind and attentive towards me. The food came out fast and all of it was absolutely delish! Pricing was great, too! It definitely lived up to it's name because I definitely felt "kozy" as if I was eating at home. Parking can be a gamble since the lot isnt but so big but I found one fairly quickly.if you like trying different ramen spots, this one is worth a visit!
I'm struggling between a 3 and a 4 star rating, because this is truly a 3.5. It wasn't bad, it was fine, would I go back again if I needed ramen ASAP? Yes. Would I search for somewhere else if I had time to search? Also yes. The restaurant is located within what looks like a warehouse, and the bathroom is a shared bathroom with the other restaurants on the floor. We were in and out of the restaurant in 30 minutes, it wasn't very full and the serviec was quick. We ordered beef gyoza to start, original tonkotsu ramen, and spicy tonkotsu ramen. We each got a small side salad and radish platter after we ordered, which was a nice surprise. But then we got our ramen before our appetizer, which came a few minutes later. The gyoza were good, a little greasy but a good crispiness to them. The ramens were fine, they weren't the best ramens we've ever had. The original's broth felt like it was lacking some depth in flavor, but the ingredients were good. There was a lot of fat on my pork chashu, about half of it was meat and half was fat. The spicy's spice level was good, not burn your mouth spicy. It was a fine lunch but we left a little disappointed.
Kozy is indeed cozy! Perfect for a quiet dinner. There's something about the pork that is spectacular! So tender and flavorful. Have come multiple times and each experience was excellent.

I ordered the combination ramen and bao bun. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen and Beef Bulgogi bao. The small salad and pickled radish were a nice surprise. I guess you get that when you order in? Either way it was all delicious. The pork chasu In the ramen was a thick cut, fatty but succulent. I wish there was more than one piece or pork though. However for the price overall I think it's a good value. I also ordered this ramen again via DoorDash. It wasn't quite as good in house and the piece of pork wasn't as good as when I dined in. Again wish there was a second piece but if you're looking for an affordable and delicious ramen spot try Kozy Ramen!!
Looking for a ramen spot, we landed here at Kozy Ramen. It's a hidden store in a bigger warehouse/restaurant group location? I think the restaurant wants to capture the small ramen shop from Japan and I think it works. I haven't been to Japan (definitely on the bucket list), but I could definitely see the direction Kozy was going. If you haven't been here, it's probably because there are a lot of ramen shops, but I think it's probably because this place is a bit hidden. Inside, there is seating, a whole bench on the side of the wall, and also spots at the ramen bar. I ordered the Spicy tonkatsu. I thought the broth was great, it was flavorful, and it wasn't spicy to the point where the flavor is lost. Service wise, everything was great and there were absolutely no complaints. Overall, I can see myself coming back here to eat ramen. There are tons of other places to explore, but Kozy will stay on my list of ramens.
It's been a while since I've dropped by this building but after a late night search for ramen, I found this spot is open. Of course it's late, of course there's 30 mins left on the clock but who cares, let's make the chef hustle some ramen for us! Before there was Kozy, there was Tanpopo in the same spot, I don't know why they closed but I remember them fondly for being the only ramen spot in Annandale area. Although they're gone now, Kozy arrived to take over but there is a lot of competition in the area these days, all serving ramen. My shoyu ramen love will never be unattended these days and Kozy is hitting all the right criteria for me. First off, this spot lives up to its quirky name created to own the .com website name. It is cozy, I mean kozy. Small, in the wall, not too many seating, quiet, chill , covered with Japanese design points, etc. If there's a place I want to hide from responsibilities, this is the place. You walk in, you're greeted by the super kind owners, take a seat and relax. Just don't mind the karaoke club restaurant next door. We ordered spicy ramen, miso, bulgogi buns, and takoyaki. They was quick about getting these items out to us. I complain about food not having flavor, oomf, kapow, zip. These had adequate amount of these elements. Good takoyaki, delicious ramen, unafraid to season that broth and just serve delicious food. Bulgogi buns were good too but I was thinking like a full on bao style bulgogi bun. Buns are a little messy having to hold them but not a deal breaker divorce situation. The waitress was fantastic, she wasn't put off that we came in late but got us everything we needed. Very kind. This is my go to spot for ramen when I don't want to be all posh at Jinya and I have a few dollars more than a dehydrated ramen bowl. I've been back here a couple of times now and I can't recommend it enough. Actually wait, may I should not recommend it so it remains a hole in the wall spot for me to eat ramen to myself. Maybe sushi at the mini bar next time.

Definitely a must try restaurant for ramen! I came here on a weekday so it was quieter than what I hear is their busier weeks. Food was wonderful from the presentation to the flavors in each dish. Staff were very friendly and helpful in helping me decide what to order and the level of spiciness. I will have to return to try some of their other selections as I came for a quick lunch in the middle of running errands. The restaurant shares the space with other restaurants in the same building so I can see parking being a minor inconvenience for some customers.
OMG! Amazingly delicious. I ate here for lunch today and had the most scrumptious meal. The shrimp tempura bao bun was so good and the miso ramen was absolute perfection. The flavor of the pork was so rich and the egg as well. I tried their homemade green grape sparkling ade and it was so yummy. My friend had several bao buns and the shrimp shumai, which she really enjoyed. It's a cute and clean restaurant tucked inside a building with some construction happening at the moment. Highly recommend!
I saw Bulgogi on the menu and knew right away this place wasn't run by the Japanese! However, the place is very much decorated like a Japanese restaurant. There are a bunch of Japanese-themed small posters all over the restaurants. They also have hot sake on the menu! We ordered pork baos, tonkatsu rice, spicy tonkatsu ramen, spicy chicken ramen, and spicy miso ramen. We tried to share a sip of the broth. It seemed like they used the same kind of spice for all. Even though we ordered three different broths, they tasted very similar because we ordered the spicy versions. The base of the broth tasted good. Tonkatsu surprised us. It was crisp in all the right way and very delicious. The pork baos, however, were something I wouldn't order again. It was meh. Ramen-wise, this place put up serious competition in the area but it's not my top pick. Their spiciness needs some work. It wasn't quite there for me. Another minor downside to this place is that the staff works really slowly. I counted 3 staff in the front. There were 3 to 5 max full tables the entire time we were there. It took an unreasonably long time for us to get our ramen. Our drinks and appetizer came like 10 minutes after we sat down. We were hungry so ordered everything at once. Our ramen came out like 40 to 50 minutes later. Why? Do they only have a single chef doing everything in the back? Even though I'd come back, I'd have to think about it because of this.
This was a delicious fine. Very, very good Ramen, good service, and cute atmosphere. It was the best tonkatsu Ramen I've had. Highly recommend this little find.

Great ramen and great, efficient service- This has become our go to place and we're coming all the way from Woodbridge. The bao buns are soft and the meat is deliciously marinated and generous. The shumai are delicate . I had tonkatsu ramen and my wife had the miso ramen- so good and perfect for a rainy day . read more

The fiery ramen flavor is where it's at. It has a nice heat and is really good. I tried a bit of my friend's before having the regular spicy ramen, and after having the fiery ramen first, the spicy ramen felt very plain, even though I am someone who loves spicy food. The karaage was a little salty, but it still had great crunch, and the tempura was really good. My friend said he enjoyed it as well. Service was great, because unfortunately, my friend got something in his bowl that he did not want, and when we told our waiter, she was more than happy to change it. We arrived around six o'clock, and there was nobody in the restaurant, but maybe five to ten minutes later, the restaurant was full and packed. read more

I'm rounding this up from a 3.5. I was excited to try a new ramen place in annandale! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is trendy and feels lively when you go inside. There's not a ton of seating, but I think it's also reasonable for a ramen restaurant. I ordered tonkotsu ramen, chashu bao, and takoyaki. The ramen was very flavorful. It took me a minute to find the second slice of chashu but it's there! The chashu bao was probably my favorite since it was flavorful. The takoyaki was sadly overcooked and rubbery, but the flavor was good. I'd be back since I'm in the area often but will try other menu items! read more
This place is hidden inside a building with a few other stores. I arrived here close to closing time but they were happy to serve me. The place feels like a cosy ramen store, which suits the place because the food is cozy too. I really enjoyed the ramen and the pork buns. The ramen was milky and brothy, much better than some cheaper places. There is a lot of competition for Ramen in this area, but I would still definately come back. read more

Kozy Ramen & Bar is indeed a cozy and casual Japanese bistro that opened recently in Annandale! My friend and I stopped by for lunch yesterday. There isn't a whole lot of seating, but we were seated immediately without issues. RAMEN COMBO 1 - 18 For the combo, you can get a ramen + bao bun (so -2.00 together compared to ordering separately). I got the ORIGINAL TONKOTSU RAMEN and BULGOGI BUN. The ramen came in a smaller bowl than I expected and came with a good amount of toppings: pork chashu, nori, scallions, ramen egg, Japanese fish cake, wood ear and even bean sprouts. There was only one piece of pork chashu (thought it would be at least two). The broth was flavorful without being too heavy or greasy and delightful to sip on without being too salty. The ramn noodles were the wavy egg noodles, which isn't my preference but the texture here was fine. All the toppings tasted fresh. As for the bao bun, the bao was soft and fluffy. There was a fair amount of well-marinated bulgogi which was topped generously with scallions and drizzled with some spicy mayo. This was a great little appetizer! The service was great and our server offered us green tea mochi ice cream on the house, which was a delightful treat to the end of our meal. The food was yummy and homey, and I would definitely come back for it. I recommend the ramen combo so you can try both ramen and a bao bun! It's also a good amount of food for a good price. read more
So tanpopo ramen house rebranded as Kozy ramen. The menu is mostly the same. I will say the broth has improved since the rebranding. It used to be a bit more oily but now is smoother and more "bone broth-y" if that's even such a thing. The spicy tonkotsu was rich and had lots of toppings. Service was good and quick. Will definitely say it has more of a comfort food feel than anything else. I'll be back to try some different ramen. read more

My brother and I made a visit and the location is right off Markham St. You will see big white lit letters JMT Kitchen, pulled into parking lot which is limited but manageable. It's like a mini Block but there's only 3 restaurants so far: A & J, Kozy and JMT. Once you parked, walk up the ramp passing A & J Restaurant, inside the building is the restaurant on your right. There's limited seatings but manageable. The menu is on clipboards, server/ food runner will come and take your order. The menu has so many varieties from small plates, bao buns, ramens, combos, salads, udon, rice bowls and sides. We ordered 5 items: 1) Spicy Tori Ramen with chashu bao bun 2) Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with spicy jeyuk bao bun 3) Chicken Karaage. We both did a combo meal and there's two options: 1) Ramen with bao bun 2) Ramen with assorted tempura. Both of the ramen were delicious one was chicken and the other was pork. Though the menu states that it is spicy, it wasn't. If you want forehead sweating spicy then you need to inform your server that you want it fiery spicy. So we will get that next time. Now the bao buns that we selected, that was part of the combo. The chashu was tasty and meat was tender. But the jeyuk was very flavorful and delicious. The sauce that was drizzle on top made it very scrumptious. The chicken karaage was unique unlike your typical karaage. It wasn't as crunchy like but these were very moist, tender and delicious. The restaurant was clean, some decor on the ceilings and walls, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would return to try other items on their menu. read more

Kozy Ramen lives up to its near perfect rating. It is a charming Japanese cafe with a warm and casual ambiance, serving the most delicious, warm, and flavorful bowls of noodles. The service is wonderful, the staff is so friendly. This is our new favorite spot. read more

Kozy Ramen & Bar is a nice little ramen spot tucked inside an older shopping mall in Annandale, the same one where popular hangout spot JMT Kitchen & Bar is located. This spot used to be a ramen shop, but it looks like there's been a change in ownership. I came in with my brother on a Friday night, and it wasn't too busy. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the service was good. The menu could use some improvement--it looked like a simple home printout with tiny text that was hard to read, and the digital menu wasn't working when I tried to scan it. I ordered the combo spicy tonkotsu ramen + chashu bun, and both were pretty solid. I'd rate the food around 3-4 stars--good, but nothing mind-blowing. That said, since it's only five minutes from my house, it's a convenient spot to grab a bowl of ramen without having to go too far. If you're in the area and craving ramen, it's worth a stop! read more

Kozy Ramen & Bar is a welcome addition to the Annadale 'hood! This new restaurant took over what was once known as Tanpopo - their menu is pretty extensive, offering various small plates/apps, salads, ramen, udon, rice bowls, and even yakisoba. We came here for an early dinner, and we were seated promptly. We ordered: +the Bulgogi Bun - filled with stir-fried bulgogi with iceberg lettuce, sliced cucumbers, and scallions, drizzled with a house sauce - the bun was steamed perfectly, and the bulgogi was savory! This was such a savory, juicy bun! +Chicken Karaage - bite-sized pieces of crispy fried chicken thigh chunks, drizzled with a savory soy- and mayo-based sauce +Spicy Miso Ramen - a spicy miso broth with pork chashu, a nitimago egg, naurto, kikurage, bean sprouts, scallions, and a piece of nori; you choose between 'spicy' or 'fiery' for your spice level, in which I went for the 'spicy'; the noodles were cooked well, and the broth was actually thick and creamy with a nice heat that hits you (in a nice way) in the back of the throat! +Spicy Tori Ramen - a spicy chicken broth with chicken chashu, a nitimago egg, naruto, kikurage, bean sprouts, scallions, and a piece of nori; as the other ramen, you choose between 'spicy' or 'fiery' for your spice level, in which the hubs went for the 'spicy'; the noodles were cooked well, and the broth was okay; I preferred the the miso version as this was more of a thinner broth There was a complimentary bowl of iceberg lettuce and veggies, topped with sauteed onions - this was very fresh and pretty yummy! There was also a side dish of pickled daikon radish. Definitely take advantage of their Ramen Combinations, in which you can order a bao of of your choice or a small plate of assorted tempura with your choice of ramen! Don't miss out on their dessert, as they have vanilla, strawberry, and green tea mochi cream, which is a great way to end your meal! Service was super friendly, welcoming, and kind! There was plenty of seating, but I particularly loved the decor - the wall art was fun to look! I'd love to return to try their other small plates and entrees! I tried the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Fiery and the Spicy Jeyuk Bun, and both were amazing! The ramen was super spicy--kind of like Buldak Bokkeum Myeon--but in a really satisfying way that makes you want to keep eating. It definitely helped relieve some stress! I added bean sprouts and green onions, which toned down the heat a bit and made the flavors even better. Also, the chashu here is on another level--thick, super tender, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best I've had! If you love spicy food, you've got to try the Fiery ramen. I'll definitely be back for more! read more

This restaurant is inside the 4316 Markham Building. Just walk up the ramp, go inside and you'll see a few different businesses. Kozy Ramen is straight ahead on the right. It was my first time coming here and I stopped by for lunch. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with Japanese pop playing. I ordered a Kirin lager with a Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen for my entree and the beer was served with a frosted glass and the ramen was immaculate. I love to eat food from all over and learn about the ingredients so I can better understand how and why it pairs together. The presentation was great and the broth and protein was spectacular. Wow! What a find! For starters, such a cute spot-- the decor, the music! The food was also amazing! Not only did it come so quickly, but it all tasted so fresh. We had the: Pork Gyoza-- a 10/10! The veggies were crunchy, the meat tender, and the gyoza were super crispy. Bulgogi Bao Bun-- also great! I'm not usually a big fan of buns, but the meat was flavorful, balanced well with crisp cucumbers, and a soft bun. Tonkotsu Ramen-- so good! A hearty flavorful beef broth paired with fresh toppings! No mushy veggies. Loved the textures and flavors! The pork was fantastic, melt in your mouth. Overall, so glad we went there. My boyfriend and I, were both satisfied with the meal, and it was very affordable! I can't end without praising the service. They were so attentive, and so kind!
