They even had Austin Eastciders, so that immediately caught my attention. It also seemed like the owner was there and actively involved in running the restaurant, which I always appreciate seeing. Our server was super nice and my boyfriend enjoyed what he ordered, but unfortunately, my burger was just not good. I had pretty high hopes based on the ratings, but the flavor was weird all around and the bun was hard, which made it difficult to even eat. I really wanted to like it more because the atmosphere and service were both good, but the food just missed the mark for me personally. I'd still say it's worth trying at least once, especially since my boyfriend liked his meal, but I personally probably wouldn't return.

It's definitely a nice spot for brunch and catching up with friends. The only downside for me is the noise level. The music tends to be a little too loud, and I feel like that makes everyone speak louder as well, so the overall atmosphere can get pretty loud. I was hoping to sit down and get some work done, but it was difficult to concentrate. I really enjoy the food and would definitely come back for brunch, but I'd love it even more if the music were turned down a little.

I had the breakfast croissant, which was yummy although the honey dijon mayo didn't add much except making it drippy, shrimp bowl, which was good on paper and in taste although the veggies were laden with butter, hummus and lavash (excellent), and dulce de leche pancakes (excellent). I like how eclectic the menu is with entrees ranging from omelettes to veggie/rice bowls. I think the standout items though are the croissants/pastries and the coffee. The service, while nice, was quite slow. Overall had a good experience.

Sometimes the kitchen has bright spots, but it's worth exploring options just to see what you can find in a visit. One of their weakest spots typically is their coffee bar, where I just haven't found anything that has really hit. Have always wanted them to go curate a litttle more there over the years of retries. We usually opt for other beverages because of this recurring issue, which they offset by having a nice cooler set. We often come with books to slow the visit down.

Why bother ordering types of drinks? They have a big jugs of tea and lemonade at the stand. We tried a couple of seasonal menu items. Ordered the ricotta pancakes with peach compote. Usually, the ricotta is baked into the pancakes in the recipes I see. These pancakes were totally dry with a huge wallop of ricotta spread on top with canned peaches on the side. Extremely dry. I had to go to the counter and ask for maple syrup. Still, I would definitely never order this again. The pancakes were not only dry, but also hard. The feta avocado spread with flatbread is spicy. It doesn't say that on the menu. The flatbread is nice, but the spread is a bit too spicy for my taste. At least the staff are friendly. Again, people love this place, I don't. This is the third time I've tried it. I won't be back.

It's Jim Beam bourbon with pickled blackberries, fresh mint and a little bit of club soda with freshly hand crushed ice. They also have several food options, with the $10 pulled pork sandwich being the best of all. It's one of the best pork sandwiches in the area served with chow chow (a spicy southern relish) on a fresh bun with BBQ sauce on the side. This is a legit sandwich that will fill you up, not a small HH mini sandwich. The $5 hand cut fries are also worth a try and the service is large enough two can split them. Service is friendly here and the bartenders were very attentive to everyone. This is the best happy hour deal in Falls Church and I'll be back here again for some bourbon and BBQ.

Anniversary | Menu | Vibes…read more Anniversary - We celebrated our wedding anniversary over Sunday brunch, which was a great option with an infant at home. The restaurant was about 50% full when we arrived at 10 a.m., making it relaxed and easygoing. The staff made the occasion feel special with complimentary champagne, an elevated table setting, and a signed anniversary card from the team. Small touches, but they made a big difference. Menu - The menu has a good range while remaining relatively simple and focused. The pairings are clearly well thought out. I had the chicken sandwich with fries and considered substituting the tater tots, but the staff strongly encouraged me to stick with the chef's recommended pairing. They were right. The fries complemented the sandwich well, and I appreciated a staff confident enough in the menu to steer me toward the chef's vision. Vibes - Great ambiance. It's an ideal date spot while somehow remaining very family-friendly. About a quarter of the tables had kids under 10, yet the restaurant never felt loud or chaotic. The finishes and decor are simple but elevated, creating a space that feels special without being overly formal. Pro tip: There's a parking lot across the street, and the restaurant validates parking. Easy and convenient. Pro tip: Get a reservation. I expect this place to become increasingly popular over the next 3-6 months as word gets out about the food, service, and overall experience.

The ambience is a nice modern vibe, great for casual dinner, not too expensive. The food is decent, all up to standard. All perfectly cook with some safe creativity. Nothing that blows your mind but cannot expect that at $65 these days. Greens on toast is nice and refreshing. The citrus salad is good too but nothing too unexpected than it looks. Mains with salmon and pork chop are solid. Not too memorable but happy to eat. Desserts are ok ... but their brunch is more memorable with their pancakes.

What an amazing place! I had been thinking about coming here after a trip to Turkey, and am so glad…read morewe finally made it here. We will be back! Service: First, I have to call out the service. It was fantastic and the manager was wonderful. When we walked in, the manager showed us the menu, gave recommendations on what to get (get the breakfast plate and hot egg plate), said no pressure, and introduced us to the woman working the cash register who also brought us our food. He later sent us two baklava pieces after we finished our meal. We were beyond surprised and let me say...they were delicious. He was so nice, the vibes of the restaurant were so friendly and it was a welcoming atmosphere. Food: We got the breakfast plate and hot egg plate which was recommended and is the best deal. For the egg plate I got the menemen (tomatoes and peppers with eggs) which was so good. I don't like cooked tomatoes, so I am not sure why I like this or how they make it, but it is delicious and not super tomatoey. The breakfast plate comes with 2 pita, dips, tomato, cucumber. We also got the Turkish Sausage eggs which are great and have slim cut pieces of sausage in them. We also got 2 simits, 2 boreks and 2 teas. The baklava was outstanding! We tried what I think was the regular which had a floral tone to it, the chocolate and the tahini. The tahini was my favorite by far - I had never tasted anything like it. Each piece is $2 and affordable. Seating: There is indoor and outdoor seating. I believe there may have been 8 tables inside? It is set up well in that you can make the tables smaller or bigger. Square and round tables. Good for groups larger than 4. Outdoor seating has a ton of tables and was in the shade when we were there. Parking: Super easy. They have a gravel lot on the side of the restaurant.

Not the best I've ever had, but definitely good, and the fries were probably my favorite part. My boyfriend wasn't a huge fan of his order though, which was something along the lines of eggs, bacon and French toast. The ice cream seemed to be a really popular option and honestly looked good, but we decided to skip dessert since it was still pretty early in the day. I also noticed a little "Keep Austin Weird" sticker which made me smile. Clearly I keep finding little pieces of Austin everywhere I go in the DMV lol. Overall, I'd say it's worth checking out. We weren't completely blown away by everything we ordered, but I liked the vibe enough that we would definitely try it again just with different menu choices next time.

Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

The food feels thoughtful and well-executed, the kind of place you keep thinking about after you leave. Definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to come back and try more! The service was down to earth and the shop is quaint. You might need to wait for a seat to open, but it moves quickly!
