Don't expect fast service. They take one order and cook one order before they get to next customer.

Good food, but they keep increasing their prices. It's happened at least twice since they opened.

While a scramble sounds simple on paper, it is easy to overcook the vegetables. This one was executed perfectly, with every vegetable done just right. The thin-sliced potatoes were highly seasoned and stood out, moving away from the standard, heavy breakfast spuds you get at most places. The presentation across the board was excellent. The latte arrived with a nice touch--a small side cookie and a club soda to cleanse the palate, which shows a level of intentionality you don't always find. The staff members were incredibly friendly and gracious from start to finish. With fast Wi-Fi and a comfortable environment, it is an ideal spot to get some quality laptop time. It's a great addition to the local lineup.

We were told we could sit at the bar or outside, but when we asked for one of the open tables, we were denied because they were "reserved for parties of three." That just doesn't make sense. We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. Really disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.

They also always have NA root beer, and ciders on tap for gluten-free folks or those who just don't like beer. You can get a crowler (can) or growler to-go of any beer on tap at any time. They also have two large coolers of canned beer, ciders, NA beer, NA beverages, and more that you can take with your or enjoy on site. There is a 40% discount for 6+ beers to go. This place has a large and established regular scene. They also have a Mug Club membership which gets you more beer per pour and some other perks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome outside. There's also several TVs for sports, and a ton of board and card games you can play. Jeff does a stellar job every Tuesday with trivia. There are themed trivia nights (Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc.) sometimes that tend to get PACKED. So if you're planning to go, plan ahead and go early. The kitchen staff rock and are efficient at getting food out quickly. Everything is cooked in an oven. The pretzel and beer cheese is very popular and yummy. The food overall is average, but Darren does a good job of rotating specials throughout the year. Some of my personal favorite items (note some are specials) : Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, BBQ chicken nachos, German brat, CBR flatbread + drunken onions and peppers, the Apple pie quesadilla and the Elvis dilla. If you're looking for an amazing sit down dinner, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for a great beer selection, awesome people, and a bite to eat this is definitely for you! The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable on beer. A few of them have the level 1 Cicerone certification. Admittedly, I bartended here for a year and just recently left due to moving. I frequented this place before I started working and I will return from time to time now as a customer. This is my honest feedback.

We stand there for almost ten minutes, still no greeting and my son notices a sign that says "order here". Fine. Skipping a lot of frustrating banter with the woman at the register, who I hope has an excuse like it was her first day... The beer list was good, the pours were nice, temp was a little colder than room temperature, which I'm fine with but some people don't love it. The food was just ok, with the tots being the clear winner. I would go back for the beer (they have "to-go" in addition to draft) and it seemed like the bartender was friendly if you were sitting at the bar. But I wouldn't bring the kids or sit for a meal again.

But let me back up..... The atmosphere was incredible, sitting outside on rooftop bar in the early summer evening! The service was TOP NOTCH!!! We were a little complicated w questions & unable to make up our minds PLUS I asked them to change my drink a tad & take out all the chocolate, reluctantly he made it and my GOSH it was the BEST espresso martini I've ever EVER had in my life AND it looked the very best too!!! The food.....ALL FOUR of us said it was delicious and the very best we've had!! I only got pictures of my supper and their dessert but it was ALL delicious!!!! I extend my HIGHEST recommendation for you if you're ever remotely close to Washington DC. It's not in DC but worth the drive across the river! We NEVER eat at the same place twice on a trip, but guarantee ya we would be there tomorrow if we weren't going to NYC!!! Came out piping hot, which is wonderful, but the cheese dip tasted spoiled to me. I've had it there before and I think that's just the way they serve it. It was too viscous and I think tasted off. They had a chicken chili. I don't know what made it a chili, but it was a delicious soup. I'm so glad they didn't make it spicy. I don't know why everything has to be spicy these days. Staff was friendly and they do their best at making the environment look nice. Our waiter and subsequent service staff were very good. It looks like they hire local teenagers also--hat's nice.

Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

The surprise star of the meal was the tater tots. They were genuinely divine: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and dangerously addictive. Every bite was satisfying. The food feels thoughtful and well-executed, the kind of place you keep thinking about after you leave. Definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to come back and try more! The service was down to earth and the shop is quaint. You might need to wait for a seat to open, but it moves quickly!

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

The tuna melt is satisfying for pescatarians. For a place branding itself as a cafe and wine bar, the drinks menu leaves a lot to be desired. Seasonal dragonfruit cocktail screams spring but could do with more Reposado.
