I stopped this cafe because I happened to be in the area and after seeing someone post one of the sandwiches they bought from this place I've been obsessed with trying it. First things first, parking. The stores have a parking garage that requires you to pay within 15-20 minutes I believe. I met a friend at another restaurant that validated but even if they didn't. Prices were pretty reasonable. When I first entered, the place was bright, clean, pretty immaculate. Everyone was either working or conversing with friends at various tables. In line with a cafe vibe. It was my first time there so I wasn't aware that you can simply order at the kiosks by the entrance. But the server was very friendly and was happy to provide input on the menu. But since I wanted to peruse the menu a bit more, I figured the kiosk was the best way to check out other items on the menu besides the sandwich that I knew I wanted. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the bulgogi egg sandwich to go. The sandwich was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and the sauce brought everything together. I could see why it was one of their best selling items. The hibiscus lemonade was delicious as well, though I'm interested in trying other drinks on the menu such as their smoothies. All in all I would definitely return and probably end up getting the same sandwich. read more

I have been here a couple of times now, and I have to say every time that I came here the sandwiches are amazing. I've had different kinds, the bulgogi and the lox and they were all amazing. I got to also try the BELT as well and as it's so simple I thought you really can't go wrong going down that path. The service was pretty much self serve, even down to the ordering. There's 3 tablets where you can just order your food, and after that they'll let you know when your order is up. There's plenty of parking (and they validate) and seating. Inside is an your usual industrial/modern type of cafe. Semicolon is great though for drinks and also the sandwiches, but I can definitely vouch for the sandos. If you're not here for that, then I would definitely recommend you to add that to the list. read more

Love this place. The atmosphere is great for getting a drink and sandwich, then locking in and doing some work. On the other hand it is a great place to chat with another person or in a group setting. If you are a fan of corn, you musttt get the Sweekorn Cream! It is smooth, rich, and has the perfect subtle corn flavor, it's also not too sweet. If you're looking for something on the sweeter side, the Biscoff Cream Latte is perfect and decadent. This was a very cute cafe that had a variety of drinks and food options. We got the chicken and bulgogi sandwiches and tiramisu latte. The sandwiches had a generous portion of protein and were very filling. Quick and friendly service with a large amount of seating inside and not crowded so you can definitely stay to get some work done. This place has easy parking and is easy to find. The service is fast and friendly. You place your order at the kiosk and wait for your name to be called. The cafe is small but has enough space to sit with a friend and chat or grab a window seat to eat/drink and people watch. I have visited twice and had the same two items each time. This is a really bright and spacious cafe with free wifi. The area seems to be up and coming, "Founders Row", with other restaurants and shops getting built. Free parking in the parking garage. There are instructions how to validate parking in the garage and in stores, and once we were at Semicolon cafe, there was a QR code to scan that validated our parking, which made our parking free. The sweet thinly sliced beef goes incredibly well with the fluffy egg, veggies, and buttery brioche bread. They top it off with a squiggle of some kind of aioli that just takes it to the next level. I was so sad when Semicolon closed in Chantilly; and was super excited to know that they re-opened in Falls Church. Their shop is small and cutesy, it's perfect for that "coffee date" feel or "studying + coffee" vibes. They have a large parking garage next to them; the 1st hour is free and then after that it's about $1 every hour. I'm not sure if Semicolon offers discounts/validated parking but the cost isnt too bad. I ordered their SweetCorn Latte and the Chicken Sandwich. SweetCorn Latte: 4/5 - although it was so yum, it was def too sweet for me. (it tastes a lot like buttered popcorn) Chicken Sandwich: 4/5 - it's a korean grilled chicken sandwich with onions, lettuce and sauce. It's super saucy, so I would recommend sauce on the side if you don't like your sandwich drenched and your hands sauced! (I do think that their sandwiches used to taste better back when it was in Tilly's Kitchen. Semicolon is ok, their hot drinks are too rambunctious as the flavors don't meet the name. However, i absolutely cannot get over how delicious their corn latte is. Served cold, i always add a 2 shots of espresso to it, and the corn is still alert and alive. Their sandwiches are so cute, but basic and very expensive. I've had a couple different ones, and still couldn't find one i like. The desserts are yummy! So star for that, haven't found one i did not enjoy. The service? Overall, 3.5/5 but will bump it to a 4/5. I've been to Semicolon twice already, but waited until after my second visit before writing a review. The interior is pretty spacious and clean, and I didn't have an issue finding a table to sit at both times. They're known for their Korean-inspired brioche sandwiches and cafe drinks. I stopped by the first time a few weeks ago with a few friends to try some of their drinks. I got the SWEEKORN LATTE (7) and thought the corn-flavored syrup was overly sweet and tasted artificial. There was probably more whipped cream than there was espresso, and I didn't end up finishing my drink. The three of us all got something vastly different -- smoothie, ade, and specialty latte -- but we didn't really like our drinks. Initially, I was ready to rate our experience a 2/5. I came back yesterday morning with a different friend and we shared a BULGOGI SANDWICH (12) which was delicious. There was a lot of bulgogi, which had a savory and sweet marinade that went well with the fluffy scrambled egg and corn mix, grilled onions, and juicy tomato slices. The brioche bun was soft. The sandwich is a bit expensive for the size, but I really enjoyed it. I recommend the bulgogi sandwiches at Semicolon, but not the drinks. So happy Semicolon has a brick and mortar location. They used to have a stand in a food hall in Chantilly but now have a nice spot in Falls Church! During the weekend we visted they had a collab with the Duo and got to enjoy their strawberry matcha (9/10) Otherwise Semicolon got to try an iced mocha latte which was quite good (8/10) and the bacon egg sandwich ( 7/10). The service is straightforward and fast, they made my coffee beautifully. This would be a great spot to work, there is wifi and parking is right next to the cafe. I visited this cafe for a lunch date because I've heard positive things about their sandwiches, which did not disappoint. The bulgogi sandwiches were very flavorful, and presented well. I also ordered the mango lemonade, which was just alright. Relatively small sandwich menu, but with lots of customization which is great! I do wish that the self-service stall had clearly highlighted major allergens. My partner has a nut allergy, so it was a bit confusing trying to figure out the exact ingredients of certain desserts. The interior was very cute with the curved seating, but might feel a bit awkward during a crowded day or if you have a larger group--it feels awkwardly close to other patrons. Just catching up with my reviews, since I went to this location's grand opening just because we were going to the theater in front of the cafe! I've been always curious to try, since the Japanese style milk bread sandos look so adorable and inviting on social media. I tried their smoked salmon one, which comes with all the veggies and soft scrambled egg, the bread was perfection, lightly toasted that kept the pillowy milk bread texture but provided a little crunch! The mayo (which I think is just kewpie) helps tying all the other ingredients together. The service was fast, even on the grand opening with people crowding and waiting to be served, which came really handy since we had to go back to catch up with our movie. This is my second day visit (I went; first time visit yesterday) here at Semicolon Cafe and I had to come back. It's now my go-to Breakfast Cafe hangout after dropping the kids off to school. They're actually open as early as 7:00 A.M. on weekDAYs which works for on-the-go parents like myself.. Yesterday I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich and today the Spicy Chicken and both are worth the order... slightly pricey for $12 and of course I customized and added the extra sauces (just $0.50 cents more). I came here to cash in on my free smoothie card I won from their soft opening day! I also wanted a separate sweet treat so I got the raspberries and cream for there and the smoothie as my to-go treat. The total for the sweet treat was $7.70. I thought it was a bit on the smaller side for it to have been almost $8 and I would've wished for a bit more of the raspberry in it but overall, I loved the topping and thought the raspberry tasted really good! Stopped by for a morning pick-me-up after daycare dropoff and was really impressed! The cafe is beautiful and bright with lots of tables and outlets. Perfect for co-working or catching up with a friend. Service was really friendly and they did a great job explaining all of the fun specialty lattes to me so I can make an informed choice. I went with the barista suggested tiramisu latte and banana pudding. I usually think banana pudding is too sweet, but there version was really refreshing and delicious. My tiramisu latte was made with a special syrup, marscapone cream, chocolate shavings, and a little rolled wafer to top it off. It was rich, indulgent, and would be perfect for as an afternoon treat. I panic ordered and did not get their signature egg sandwiches ... so will have to come back soon to get my fix! I've been to their old Chantilly location and remember the sammies being really delicious. I love how this location is right next to the grassy outdoor space at Founder's Row. A friend of mine told me about this new little coffee shop and I was quite excited to try it. Parking was relatively easy to find and the cafe is located within a little garden square ( which is absolutely beautiful by the way). You can order at the counter or you can order using a kiosk ( iPad) when you walk in the front door. I like to chat away so I always prefer ordering from a person. I had the avocado sandwich and a latte. I appreciate that they offer a skim milk option as I do not do full cream. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the sandwich was ok. I mean nothing to write home about. It hits the spot and has all the yummy things - avocado and egg. There is seating inside the cafe and outside the cafe. There is free WiFi and it's such a pretty place to chill. The outdoor area is really nice as its faces a garden with a water "fountain" . I dropped a star because the service isn't the friendliest and the tables were quite dirty. I cleaned it myself. So thrilled that they moved this from Chantilly to Falls Church in Founder's Row! Big space to work, study, and hang out. You can order at the kiosk at front or with a cashier at the counter. In a cute area with tons of windows and natural light, it's the perfect place to stay a while or grab a quick bite. This bulgogi sandwich was to die for. SO incredibly delicious, the meat was so flavorful and the sandwich was soooo saucy it was dripping out of the wrapper which I personally enjoy. The sauce was so good and flavorful and complimented the meat so well. The coffee on the other hand was just okay for me. I got the biscoff latte and it was not as sweet as I was expecting for a dessert sort of latte, but I mixed the cold foam into the drink and it was a lot better. I also do think that the price of the drink for its size was a bit much. The drink was $7 which is usually pretty normal for a specialty latte, but it looked as though the latte was relatively small for it being a $7 drink. The store has ordering kiosks at the door, so I did not have much interaction with the staff (which is perfect for introverts!), but the place is pretty spacious for being on a little town strip with plenty of nice seating options. I can't really say much about service since my only interaction is when I pick up my order but the staff all seem friendly and it is fairly quiet in the cafe. As for the food and drink- I was most excited to try their sandwiches but just a little bit underwhelmed. I tried their bulgogi sandwich and their brioche bun makes their sandwiches stand out but for $12 i'm not sure if i'd return just for the sandwich. The drinks are great tho! Their specialty drinks are unique. The Tiramisu Latte is very good as other reviewers have said. The Sweet Corn Latte tastes like light creamed corn. I was intrigued and afraid I wouldn't like it but it is refreshing. Second time here. I didn't notice the first time, but this time I noticed how obnoxious the tipping is. The iPads to take orders weren't unlocked yet, so I ordered at the counter. I came here since it was close to me and I knew everyone loved the Chantilly location. Their area is pretty spacious with some public seating out front and lots of options inside. You order through a kiosk which was very convenient and fast. One thing that did happen was our drink came with a metal piece (I think from the soda machine?) and when we told the employee at first they didn't believe us. I think the food and drink were both good. The flavors in the sandwich balanced well. I'd say the sandwich is better than a similar one I had in Chicago but it wasn't spectacular. The drink was actually really good despite the first mishap. One thing I also noticed is that this area isn't that ADA friendly.
