Came here for my 1e year anniversary with my wife. Had the Tostones De Cerdo for appetizers. I then noticed happy hour here is until 7pm on weekdays so I ordered some shrimp and Avocado for $5 and bought a draft beer for $1. Both were excellent. I ordered the ribs from the África me ur and my wife ordered the salmon from the grilled section on the menu. My ribs were good; and so was the coleslaw and yuca tatter tots. But beware, they are on the dry side--no sauce. My wife's salmon was a disappointment. It was under cooked, tasteless, and the accompanying sauce was salty. We ordered that blonde Gava coconut desert. That was good. Overall, the place is clean like new. Waitress was very professional and knowledgeable. Music was low, not blasting. Amazing food and amazing service. The menu is so unique as it presents several continent's favorite dishes. It makes it difficult to choose. We tried the pork dumplings from Asia, the Lomo Saltado from America, the wings also from Asia, the Kow Lasagna) (superb) and for dessert the Tiramisu. Only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of service. It felt very much "order-takey" and there wasn't much hospitality. No recommendations or suggestions on the menu. I really like that they have 4 different menus to pick from because that just makes it easier to get a group of different tastes together for dinner. We had the gnocchi and cheese from the Europe appetizers and it was okay for me..my husband did love it though. For entrees I had the bandeja paisa from the American menu and it was delicious. I feel like you can never go wrong with a bandeja paisa honestly lol. My husband ordered the picanha from the on grill option on the American menu as well. Steak was cooked perfectly. It took a while to be seated when we arrived even though there was no wait. But after we were seated, the service was good and quick. Diego was our server, he came to check up on us throughout. They leave a water for the table. I wish more restaurants did this, since we didnt have to flag down our waiter. Their menu is made up of different types of cuisines inspired by the continents. For drinks we ordered a beer and Sangria. I loved the Sangria, it wasnt overly sweet and had plenty of fruit. We ordered the sweet chilli wings to start and they were very tasty, but quite small wings. Still, loved the flavor of the sauce. I had the wok chicken rice. It was good, fried rice as expected. Really big portion, I only had about half. We also had the fish and chips app from the Africa menu. Very good. I would get this and the wings again. For dinner we had the chocolate cake with ice cream and popcorn. Probably the best part of the meal, it was delicious! read more

We first started with the Tostones as appetizer. They offered shredded pork or pork belly. We went with shredded and it did not disappoint. They come in 3 and what I think made them great is the cilantro sauce and the chipotle sauce (which makes it a little bit spicy). We also ordered the steamed pork gyozas which came with a perfect sauce to pair it. By the way, service was 10/10 on a Saturday afternoon (we came around 5 pm). My husband and me ordered one sushi roll each, which we end up switching plates since I liked his better and he liked mine better. Those were the Lima roll that is made with ceviche. Really good. But my favorite was the Alaska Truffle roll. For me, whatever has truffle oil automatically tastes better. Other dishes in our table were the Intruso Wok noodles that you could probably share with someone because the portion is big. The Piripiri Spicy Pork ribs: I was told were really good but very spicy. BBQ pork ribs were really good too, but I tried them when I was already full so I didn't think there were super special. I did notice they were tender. Good option too. I used to love this restaurant, the food and customer service is amazing. I understand due to the coronavirus all business, small or big are trying to do the impossible to sell. But during this moments of crisis increasing prices should be illegal. They increased all the prices in the Uber eats app, could you imagine, paying the cost of the product + all the fees which make it even more expensive. We used to go in a party of 3 and spend around $130-$150 in appetizers, drinks, main dishes and sometimes desserts. I was trying to order for my husband and I now and just 2 main dishes $100 plus all the fees. This is insane!!! read more

Out for a late dinner on a Friday night I decided to check out KOW with a group of friends. Located in a small shopping plaza that has plenty of parking. Once inside I quickly noticed how packed it was. The hostess asked me if I had any reservations? I knew at that moment that I should have called first. The wait was about 30 to 40 minutes. We decided to wait and luckily we were seated in 10 minutes. The restaurant overall is small and intimate with a great menu. To begin they have meals from different parts of the world like Asia, Africa, and European food. The service was also great, I wish I remembered the nice young lady that helped us decide on drinks and food. She was awesome! The food did not take long to come out we started off with the nachos that had pulled pork on top and didn't disappoint. I tried the crab ravioli from Asia and was just divine. Everyone that I was with really enjoyed the food and drinks. The prices were okay and the bill was about $120 for a party of 4. Definitely recommend if your by the area. read more

My boyfriend and I came here as our first outing since COVID-19. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and were glad we arrived early because they don't have many tables and it became busy, very quickly. We were serviced quickly and the waitress was very nice (I wish I remembered her name). The food options were many and I only snapped a pic of my entree and dessert but everything was truly delicious!! We got the gyozas for appetizers and they were perfect. With my Yelp! check in, they gave us each a free glass of Sangria and the waitress offered us one that was so delicious and refreshing- that we ended up buying a full bottle of it! We will definitely be coming back here. Side note to the manager, please don't allow cars to park in the spots in front of the tables where people are eating. Their car lights being on and the heat from the car is uncomfortable. Also, this poses a major safety hazard- God forbid should someone make a mistake while trying to park or even back up. This place is a unique find in the area of Kendall. It's like nothing else in places I have eaten at in Kendall. The menu is a vast variety of different counties around the world, hence the name. It has enough variety to go multiple times. You would think with a huge menu the quality of food would be okay to decent. I have to say the food has a quality to it, as if it specialize in that one food. I think that's what great about this place, they try and out as much detail and care for each menu item. I am so happy that we are getting more dining options out here in my neck of the woods. We have been wanting to try KOW since they opened, but have not been able to until now. We went in this past Saturday after making reservations on Yelp. We were greeted shortly after entering and led to a table along the wall. The restaurant is small, but nicely laid out with most tables along the long wall, a few at the entrance and bar seating. Our server greeted us and was able to answer most of our questions efficiently. We started with the Burrata Sampler which we both loved. I didn't know that fried burrata was a thing. I've never had it before, but I am now a fan. I had the red Sangria and it was pretty good considering that it does not have liquor mixed in. For our mains, I ordered the Lasagna and my husband went with the Short Rib Ravioli. I was a bit hesitant to order the lasagna because of the sweet plantain purée, our server said that it was different but good. He also said that if I did not like it, that he would change it for something else. Now, I wasn't too happy with my lasagna. But I would never ask to replace because I did not like what I ordered. I love cheese. I really do. But the lasagna was mostly a pot of cheese. Seriously. Very little noodle and barely any ragú. There were peas in there, and I am definitely not a fan of peas. The Short Rib Raviolis were delish albeit a bit salty. We both really enjoyed this dish. I obviously took half of his since I did not care for the lasagna. Luckily, he likes me and let's me get away with it. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu. Cute presentation and very tasty too. If you want just a little something to share, this is a great option since the portion is small. KOW is literally 5 minutes from home. I want to try other menu options, so we will return. I am giving it 3 stars because I love this place but service wasn't the friendliest, I was there a few times after COVID hit. The food is great and I love their desserts. They also have a good happy hour frm 2-7. I went in with my bf and we sat at the bar, the drinks were really good but I do have to say the bartenders didn't have much personality, they weren't rude but also didn't feel too welcoming, was kinda awkward feeling. I'm used to going to places and having good experiences with bartenders they usually have kool personalities. When you deal with the public it's nice to have people who interact with the customer, nevertheless the food was good and the drinks too. Next time maybe we"ll just sit outside. read more

This is hands down one of the few restaurants that you order anything from the menu and it taste just as you picture it in your mind. Everything what amazing. From a cold cold beer to the last bite of the tiramisu that you just couldn't leave behind. Guys this place is absolutely amazing. For the appetizers we ordered the Burrata Sampler, the guava sauce that is for the fried Burrata is out of this world. We also ordered the Onion Soup. For the Entree I ordered the Arroz con Pollo. Of course you put on an egg on something and I'm SOLD. This dish was so good it has pieces of fried chicken but it also had chunks of grilled chicken! I kept eating and it just wouldn't end lol eventually I needed to stop to save room for the best part ... desert! My mom ordered the Wok rice with steak it was so good that the next day she made me order one for pick up lol she just couldn't get enough! My SO ordered the Kow Style Lasagna. When it came out I thought - oh boy he's gonna be hungry after he's finished.- boy was I wrong lol that dish is deep! And boy was it good. Every bite was full of flavor he almost did not finish. The unique thing about this lasagna it has a layer of sweet plantains. Now for Desert we ordered the Tiramisu. But this wasn't your normal Tiramisu this was an interactive play on tiramisu. The plating is the cutest thing! I am a big big fan of tiramisu and this was one of the best tiramisu I've ever had. This is a must order when you go! This is a great little place in a nondescript shopping center in West Kandall! We went early on a Saturday (6pm) and it was pretty full but we were immediately seated. The server was friendly and attentive although he did have a heavy accent and was a bit hard to understand. It's cool that they offer menus of food from different parts of the world. For appetizers we ordered the tostones, crunchy shrimp and broken eggs (all were delicious but the tostones were my favorite!). For dinner we ordered the Braai Barbeque platter which we shared. It was good but a bit pricey for what you get (and the chicken was a bit dry). The two sides were delicious (we chose the congri and sweet plantains). One thing that was a bit strange was that we ordered a pitcher of white sangria but they brought the glasses with fruit in them and a separate bottle of chardonnay (?)...Typically a pitcher is served with the fruit and wine already mixed, and bubbly on the side.
