My dog was sick for 10 days and I went to Bond vet after hearing great things from other pet owners…read morein my building. They were able to see my pet for a same day appointment. The lady on the phone set me up with an account and an app within 15 minutes. The exam room at Bond Vet was spacious and allowed for my dog to move around and decompress at his own rate. The the vet tech was patient and gentle with my dog offering him treats, petting him, and allowing him to sniff all her tools before she even began her routine exam. By the time Dr. Halle Thomasch came in my dog had began to calm down. She again took her time offering him treats, petting him, and allowing him to sniff all her tools. It was clear Dr. Thomasch reviewed all my dog's medical records and notes before our visit (even though it was so last minute) because she was able to answer all my questions and pinpoint exactly where things went wrong at the last vet and how she plans to correct them. She was extremely thorough and patient with both me and my dog which was much appreciated. All the costs and procedures were explained to me upfront. Nothing was done to my dog without me knowing. Nothing was charged to my card without my authorization. I was given an itemized receipt that was emailed to me and will show in my app as well. I was also emailed detailed notes of the visit. I was explained exactly what the follow up procedure is, how I should administer medication, etc. Our visit lasted over an hour which shows how meticulous and thorough my dog's exam was as well as the explanation of payment and debriefing on medications and follow up procedures. Even though we were there well past closing on a holiday, the ladies at the front desk stayed to play fetch with my dog and give him pets and treats for being such a brave boy. We even left with a goodie bag! I cannot say enough good things about Bond Vet. If I could give it 10 stars I would. If I could give Dr. Thomasch 10 stars I would. If I could give everyone I interacted with 10 stars I would.

GET A SECOND OPINION before doing work!!!! Last year I used…read moreBond Vet at 62nd Street a few times while splitting my time between New York and Los Angeles--I will NOT be returning! About a year ago I brought my 5-year-old dog to Bond Vet because her mouth seemed to be bothering her and a tooth seemed to be loose. After the doctor examined her, I was told that she needed approximately 12 teeth extracted, with an estimate of more than $10K - 12K. I was shocked. Because I was told this wasn't an emergency, I decided to get a second opinion from my longtime vet in Los Angeles. I sent my LA veterinarian the records, and he ultimately recommended extracting only four or five teeth at a cost of approximately $1,400-$1,500, and when we returned that week, he told me her other teeth and gums looked very good. I understand veterinarians can have different opinions and that dental procedures can vary in complexity, but a recommendation for approximately 12 extractions with a bill exceeding $10K versus four or five teeth for roughly $1,500 was an extraordinary discrepancy. It made me very uncomfortable. UPDATE: It's been 16 months since my dog had 5 teeth removed, and she's perfect. Last evening, I had a 5:30 appointment for a nail trim and to have my dog looked at for itching. I accidentally went to their other office, called ahead, and arrived just two minutes beyond their 15-minute late policy after running through the pouring rain carrying my dog. I completely understand that I was late and that businesses have policies for a reason. I was told I could get the nail trim; however, I would have to reschedule the minor exam for itching. I asked if I could skip the nails and go into the room for the exam since the doctor was obviously scheduled for my appointment. Again, I was told that wasn't possible. Not sure if it was possible two minutes prior, and if I skipped one part of the appointment, why I couldn't get in to see the doctor then. (I believe this was poor judgement on the front desk clerk to not check with the doctor). It was obvious my dog was uncomfortable, and I was happy to skip the nails and see the doctor. NO ONE was waiting in the waiting room for an appointment, simply picking up. I was also willing to wait longer until the doctor was free. I have had veterinarians for decades who would simply say, "We're running behind, but if you're willing to wait, we'll see your dog." Think twice before using this office.

I never felt pressured to agree to anything, even the most basic things like rabies shots which are required by most dog parks, day cares, airlines, etc. When my puppy was vomiting consistently, I was able to make a same day Urgent Care appointment and chat with a nurse over the app before bringing her in. Dr. Anderson explained why she was having digestive issues (bilious vomiting due to empty stomach) and offered both an in-the-moment solution (anti-vomiting shot) and long term care suggestions (feeding her later at night her stomach doesn't get too empty) Athena, Brittani, and Lauren are also wonderful Nurses and LVTs!!!

She gave us some recommendations and told us that they would be able to provide the insurance with our cats' medical records with results from our wellness exam that day. So I went ahead and signed up for pet insurance. Yesterday, the pet insurance company sent emails to Bond Vet 91st Street requesting for each of my cats' medical records. I was copied on the emails and was surprised to see Bond Vet responding that they do not have any of our pets on file in their system. I thought it was a mistake, so I logged into my account and took a screenshot of the names of my cats that were very clearly listed on my profile, as well as their discharge summary. Even with that, no apologies or corrections were made. They simply continued to reply with rude one line responses stating that my cats are not listed in their system. How do you have the audacity to deny that my cats are Bond vet patients and refuse to send our pet insurance company our cat's medical records when I have receipts, payment invoice, discharge summaries and screenshots showing that my cats are clearly listed on my profile when I log on to my account on your website. This is ludicrous and I never want to deal with your rude staff or your overpriced and incompetence services ever again.
