We also had to go and search for her to get our checks after we'd been done eating for at least 20 minutes. This is what adding auto gratuity does unfortunately - it diminishes service. Maxine's charges 18% gratuity regardless of party size and a 4% higher non-cash price. We knew this in advance and decided to go anyway, but I didn't love it.
