This is a place to go if every other nail salon is filled and you HAVE to get your nails done. I religiously get my nails done and I always try to give this place a try, because they're $5 cheaper than other places and usually do not have a wait. In my experience I've never had their dip last a week when I should last 3weeks OR LONGER!! They actually can and will last if you go to a place that knows what their doing. There is only one woman that can do pedicures well. Everyone else in my opinion is about the same as the nail techs, mediocre. My nails currently have horrendous lumps and are all shaped differently.. they were perfect when I went in for a dip change even told the lady plenty of times that I didn't want my nails shaped any differently, but somehow we couldn't get on the same page. I've already to have one redone and another touched up there. At home, I've resorted to super gluing the third broken nail because I'm sick of getting them fixed. I had them done on 1/21. P.S. Nina is ALWAYS on point with my nails, and I'm super OCD and hard to please with their shape 9 times out of 10. Jenny also does the best pedicure I've ever had. I had a SNS mani done at another salon and was quite disappointed with the results. I was in Fort Worth today and thought I would have a fresh batch done. I know this area well, and feared the worse for parking. Luckily, there was a spot open at the front door. (That's a sign!) After I walked in, a woman helped me right away. I told her I wanted a new set but not with the dipped technique. She began to remove the gel or acrylic or whatever the previous salon had put on my nails. After 5-10 mins a gentleman came to see how far the acetone had gone; to his surprise not far. He had to file away and then try again. All in all, it was a fabulous experience, "T" was super patient and explained that some techs think they can wake up one day and be pros at the dipping technique which simply doesn't work that way. He mentioned he's been mastering it over 4 years! Awesome! As much as I didn't want to go thru the dipping again, he assured me he knew what he was doing and I would be satisfied with the results. So I gave in. I'm glad I did. He took his time and although people were coming in left and right, he kept his cool, kept his moderate work speed and didn't rush. That is totally OK with me I don't go to nail salons to have premium cocktails and look at pretty walls. What I can say is the nail technician that did my nails did a phenomenal job. I wanted something different and specific and she had never done this particular style before and did great. She took the time with the details to get my nails exactly how I wanted. I love that she was a perfectionist and wanted to get them just right. I also got a gel pedicure. I've been going to Kool Nails for over a year now. Due to bad experiences in the past with other nail salons, my friend recommended me visiting Kool Nails. I've never had to make an appointment; I do walk-in. Even if they're busier than usual, I've always been taken care of quickly. Let me just say, the staff is so friendly! I adore the people who work here - everyone has a different personality, some more talkative than others (which is fine), but they all have a foundational similarity: they're VERY kind and helpful. I don't get pedicures, but I'm a manicure junkie. I used to get acrylic done, but now I'm an avid SNS customer, and I'll never go back to anything else. Ive gotten my nails done with dip here many times, and they have always been great. Last week I got my nails done, 6 of them broke within 5 days. I went back to get them fixed, and the nail tech described to me that they were having problems with the glue settling, and customers nails were chipping. I thought they were going to fix my nails and I would be out. However the owner made me pay 25 dollars to have my nails fixed, even though it was not my fault. I'm especially impressed that fingernails lasted a full 2 weeks - gel usually lasts about a week + a few days in past. However salon was extremely busy, chaotic, didn't seem clean and both services felt rushed. I didn't hate it but will try other salons in the area to try to find the perfect place! read more

This is my new spot!!! The staff here is soooooooooooooooo courteous and professional. I really appreciate the fact that they remember repeat customers' names. It really reinforces the fact that they are community minded. I was going to Bianni Nail Spa for over a year and they couldn't remember my name (even as a great tipper), one nail tech couldn't remember my appointments (or would double book them), and their turn over rate was high.. So you couldn't get too attached to your nail tech over there. B was my nail tech here and she's phenomenal. She's the "brainy" type, so she educates you on what you need to do to keep your nails growing, what other nail techs should have done (but didn't), best practices for nail applications, and what the best solutions are for your lifestyle and schedule. Her massages are beyond amazing! She almost put me to sleep during my pedicure. And she's quick and efficient. It really does suck that the other reviewer was offended by one of the nail techs commenting about her choice of nail style and color. Yes, the nail techs are a bit opinionated, but remember, they are sales people. So, I wouldn't put too much emotional stock in their commentary if you know their opinion doesn't work with your lifestyle. Case in point: B did tell me that my clear SNS nails were very boring looking - LOL- and I told her that "boring" works with my lifestyle because it blends in when I don't keep up with the my biweekly appointments (which is common with me). The wine is good. Nothing fancy, but it's a nice little extra that goes a long way. Best of all, the other customers talk to you because they want to know if you are going to be coming around a lot more. So, I really wanted this nail shop to be my new go to in a pinch nail shop. My first time here was great, sweet nail tech got my nails done quickly and they looked great, dipped manicure lasted for about 21/2 weeks which was awesome. However, my recent dip manicure here did not hold up well and I'm really disappointed. I got them done in about 40 mins. Looked great, no cracks no dents. Perfect! A day later I had a cracked nail. Mind you I don't do any heavy lifting or anything that would lead to me having a cracked nail first day. Went back and got it fixed. Next day another cracked dip nail. Like wth?! Since I was no where near the nail salon, I went to another one near my house I'm familiar with and they fixed it. THEN today! Another cracked nail. Like hello?! What is happening. One nail? Ok it happens. Two nails? Mmkay.... three nails cracked in less than 72 hours. I'm very upset. Now, I'm stuck between getting a whole new manicure (at another establishment) or just waiting it out until I'm due in a couple weeks, hoping the other nails don't crack too! This place is obviously very popular as I went on a Tuesday at noon and they were hopping. I was given a seat quickly and the staff finished up with their other clients. I would guess I waited about a half hour before getting started on my pedicure but I can't complain, I was a walk in. Honestly, I was just looking for somewhere fast that wouldn't butcher my feet and didn't really have high expectations as this place was your typical high-volume nail salon tucked away in a non-descript strip mall. I was so surprised at the quality of the pedicure when all was said and done! The staff were super-friendly, the chairs and instruments were very clean and well-cared for, and my feet looked and felt amazing when I left. I started going here because of a recommendation from a friend and the location being close to my school. I haven't gone anywhere else since. I am always happy with my nails and the price is reasonable. I usually get SNS powder nails and started getting gel on my toes. The work always lasts over a month until my nails get too long and I have to get them redone. I would definitely recommend this place and I usually go at off peak hours and am usually out in under an hour which I prefer. I don't like being at the salon all day. read more
