The staff was friendly, I was greeted right away, they answered all my questions and the salon has been remodeled. It's like a breath of fresh air when you walk in. I was able to find a pretty Easter color called, OPI, I'm a Bubble Bunny. They have modern Massage Chairs and offer you a complimentary drink! I walked out of there with a Kool Pedicure. Lol. (Pictures are from almost 3 weeks ago but you can see the outgrown part from the last service I got because this salon didnt properly buff or blend it out.) Came here cause my regular nail salon was too busy. I wanted a fill for my gel acrylic nails. (some say gel powder.) The lady, who I believe is the boss, didnt even completely drill off the gel polish I had on before. It was pink. I wanted french tip nails so of course you could see some of the remaining pink gel polish since the base was clear from the french tips. She used one drill tool the entire time. Didnt properly file or blend out the acrylic powder so I was left with that over grown line at the bottom of my nails which again, of course you could see it from the clear base. The cherry on top was that they added a 5 dollar tip after I left! I didnt see it until I checked my bank, WHO DOES THAT! and who knows how many people theyve done that to! check your bank charges cause they got me! I dont care about the money, it's the PRINCIPLE. I am a flight attendant and usually get my nails done by the same person but I was in Fort Worth, TX and really needed my nails done. I went to Kool Nails b/c it was close to the area I was in. I got a gel polish manicure and my service felt rushed. Less than a week after my service, my polish was chipping. I've never seen gel polish chip so soon but I am assuming it's b/c it was rushed and not done properly. If I am in the area again I will not return to this nail salon. This was a waste of my money. I visited in the past week, it felt rushed, poor experience. The basic nails service was VERY basic, just water. technicians work on hands while in the pedicure chair so when they do the opposite hand you have to stretch over and not very comfortable. They use alcohol instead of you washing your hands, polish won't adhere to nails. I thought it was a one off occurrence but its happened on 3 occasions. I like to enjoy a little pampering even if it's a basic one. i ended up doing my own foot/heel scrub, additional filing and wash hands to get lotion off to paint my own nails. Twice the tech didnt put foam sandals on me. Once I walked out with bare feet and last time i had to get them out of the drawer myself. im on the lookout for a new salon that won't rush, and show they want my business. oh and don't complain to them because they will talk about you. i used the interpretation app last time someone did. location was convenient. read more

Dated. Nice people and the guy doing my pedicure went extra. Loved that! He cleaned and took care of my nails really good and the massage was amazing. He used hot stones and it was so relaxing after a long drive. The pedicure went fairly fast even though he massage me a little extra time. Prices on their services are average so I think they need to update their look and equipment to compete with the other nail places around. Their wine needs to have some expiration date after opening, I know it's cheap wine but don't offer it if it's been open for more than a few days, trust me is bad wine and it's not nice and relaxing. Save the money and offer something else or buy a wine saver top. Less than $5 I believe, totally worth it and your customers will appreciate the extra thought. I didn't get any other services but definitely will try them again in the future when I'm back in town. read more

I really needed to get my nails done, and this was the closest place to me. We came in and got good service, water was offered. Located conveniently by west 7th in booming Fort Worth, you can't miss this place in Fort Worth. I came at 7, & they close at 7:30pm on Saturday so I was already assuming I'd be a rush fill. Which I was sadly right. All I asked for was a fill, gel, and it was $40. Too pricey. And i actually wouldn't have such a problem paying that if the work was actually good. If you see from my pictures, my gel was put on way to thick, my nails are not all the same shape either. Poorly done job. Will not be back sadly. read more

Kool nails in 7th st. By far the worst place to go !!! I went on Saturday to get a pedicure , I was told to take a seat and Simon turned on the hot water ! He told me to put my feet in the water I told him it was very hot please turn it down then he moved it a little it was very very hot I burned my feet , he took them out of the water , my feet had been in the water for 5 seconds! Then he starts to cut them down , does not ask me if I want them to be cut ! Then he starts to paint them I said sir you didn't even scrub them or took out my ingrown nails ! Him and the manager said oh when you want that done you have to tell us ! If not we won't do it ! I said that weird every time I come I never have to tell ya and ya do it ! And the 2 girls sitting down next to me they got there's done and I never heard them saying anything about what to do with their nails ! Then he just gets up after painting my nails does not say he is done ! I asked him to please fix my nail it was Crooked ! He got so Rage and aggressive and took off the color off the big toe and Threw the cotton ball at me. I got up to go pay ! He change me 25 I said I will not pay you 25 for a bad job ! You did nothing other than paint my nails no scrubbing he yelled at me got in my face and said did you see your feet !! They didn't need to be scrubbed ! But he still charged me like he did ! He kept Being very aggressive and yelling at me in my face ! I should've called the police of how aggressive and hostile he was ! All because I didn't like my pedicure and told him his customer service was so badly ! I will never go here again the managers were there and did nothing! Whenever I need to unwind and pamper myself, I love getting to come here! The paint my nails so quickly but with amazing precision! I always get the Vanilla Latte pedicure (only $38) and it is heavenly! The staff are so kind! One time when it was raining outside, the lady who runs the place offered an umbrella to me and helped me get to my car nice and dry. Will recommend this place always! read more

I went to Kool Nails for the first time yesterday (8/16/14), and I am already a fan! I came in at 9:50 a.m. Get here before 10, though, because it was packed by 10:30! Jenny was my manicurist. I usually get a Shellac manicure, but she recommended trying SNS nail dipping (the powder). I have to say I am happy I tried it!!! I will be going to Jenny from now on. Started coming to this place a few months ago and I love it. I had never gotten SNS nails before (always used to do gel), but now that I've had them I will never go back. They are the same price as gel but last FOREVER. I have never had to get my SNS redone due to peeling or chipping. I go here every two (usually three weeks) or so to get them redone just because they have grown out so much!!! The staff is all very nice, complimentary beverage of your choice provided (wine for me please) and the price point is right. I will say that their pedicures are pricier than most, but $70 for a great pedi PLUS gorgeous SNS mani that last three to four weeks is a great deal in my book. I think the SNS Mani by itself is $35. Also, one time I came by with a broken nail (my own fault) and they just charged me $2 to fix it! read more

I came here during lunch to get a gel manicure. I get a manicure maybe once every 2-3 months, but this was my first time coming to this location; I usually go to one by my house. They did a great job, the price was reasonable, and got me out in plenty of time during my lunch break, BUT...the polish they used was crap. Gel usually lasts on my nails for 2-3 weeks but this started chipping at week 1. I was a little disappointed. I also couldn't tell what brand of polish I had picked; there were no labels on any of them. I think that would have helped me for next time. You always know the quality of a pedi on the very next day. Less than 24 hours post-pedi and my feet still have a lot of dead skin, even after my foot cream. The pedi felt pretty good while I was getting it done but I'm not pleased with how much dead skin I still have on the lateral sides of my foot. He definitely needed to scrape more. Close to my house and easy to get to on my way home from work, I stopped in to get my nails redone. It's not a fancy salon and they don't have a full bar like a lot of places do now. BUT they have wine and fast service with a great dip color selection at $35. I came in around 4:00 on a Tuesday and they were a bit busy but not overrun with a waitlist. I was immediately sat in a chair and they went to town taking off my chipped and badly done nails. I was a little nervous I had miscommunicated but they quickly dropped off the selection of dip colors and asked me what I would like to drink. As I looked thru all of the colors, the manicurist noticed my fixation on the darker colors and pointed me in the direction of a beautiful burgundy color that went great with my pale skin. I would have never picked the color for myself but I was very impressed with it. The service was fast, my wine was chilled, and they made a great effort to put oil on my cuticles. I felt like my time was respected with the quick service but not rushed. I will be back to see if they keep up the great work and how my nails fare in the next couple of weeks! read more

This is a place to go if every other nail salon is filled and you HAVE to get your nails done. I religiously get my nails done and I always try to give this place a try, because they're $5 cheaper than other places and usually do not have a wait. In my experience I've never had their dip last a week when I should last 3weeks OR LONGER!! They actually can and will last if you go to a place that knows what their doing. There is only one woman that can do pedicures well. Everyone else in my opinion is about the same as the nail techs, mediocre. My nails currently have horrendous lumps and are all shaped differently.. they were perfect when I went in for a dip change even told the lady plenty of times that I didn't want my nails shaped any differently, but somehow we couldn't get on the same page. I've already to have one redone and another touched up there. At home, I've resorted to super gluing the third broken nail because I'm sick of getting them fixed. I had them done on 1/21. P.S. Located by Jimmy John's & Chipotle. FANTASTIC nail place! When I lived near West 7th, I went to this place frequently. Very friendly staff. I'm a little bit rough on my nails, so gel nails don't always look great on me for very long. They have something called SNP (something??? It starts with an S and is 3 initials), and it's a mix between gel and acrylic. Basically, they paint a super thick gel-like clear coat on your nails, dip them into a colored powder and repeat. The color is in the powder, so you don't have to worry about uneven paint, or about the paint chipping. The stuff holds up WAY better than acrylic. I had them on my nails for a MONTH before getting a new set! STRONGLY RECOMMEND! Tip: Avoid going Friday after work-- the place is packed. read more
