We booked a girls day out appointment around noon. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated together. It was a nice open space that allowed us to chat with each other. We were offered some fruit snacks and drinks. The nail technicians were busy working on our manicures, and one of the workers really entertained us. He knew we were celebrating a birthday, recording all the moments and piecing it all together into a fun, memorable TikTok video. In the end, he shared the photos and videos with us. We really appreciated the enthusiasm and creativity. I love that the nail technicians were flexible with the designs we wanted. We had our manicures done in less than one hour. I'm really annoyed that I've had consistent issues with added costs that they just slip in. There doesn't seem to be a uniform pricing system which is deceptive because they do whatever they want. I've paid for a gel manicure, then had them add money for the shape. Umm...what? It's happened more than once. Last time I checked, a normal shape comes with a manicure. Especially a $50 one. Last time I went there, the tech lady charged me to cut down my nails. My real nails. I asked if she could fill my nails with dip and she said yes. She used acrylic and left a huge gap. My nails look like dirt. They are puffy and raised with a noticeable space exposing my nails. Dip is $50, and apparently so is a fill. They don't provide itemized receipts, so who knows what you are paying for. Really deceptive business practice. If I didn't like my nail guy so much, I would never go back. Ever. read more

Today was my first time visiting West7 Nail Bar after going through some Yelp reviews. I am visiting Fort Worth and needed my nails done for the New Year. I came for a gel pedicure and an acrylic fill in with a design. West7 Nail Bar is gorgeous on the inside, they also offer you drinks (water, soda, wine, etc). Sarah was assigned to do my pedicure and I had made an appointment with Tammy to do my fill in. Overall these two were very knowledgeable and gave great service. Sarah did a wonderful job on my pedicure and made sure I liked the color I had picked out. I can tell Tammy is very good at what she does, however I showed her the design I wanted and she did not ask any further questions. Tammy did not ask me to see if I liked the color she picked out, so now my toe nails are purple while my fingernails are burgundy which is not the look I was going for. The design is very cute, I would just be more pleased if she confirmed the color choice before proceeding. Although, I could've spoke up. Overall, I walked out paying $135 (gel, shape and design are extra). I will attach receipt to show breakdown. I think West7 is a wonderful nail shop with more than capable people. I would definitely come back, but be a little more direct about what I want. read more

Let me start by saying I come here often, (I was just here last week) today I came to get my nails done for my birthday and I wasn't pleased with the results BEFORE the tech finished, I asked her to do something else she immediately got an attitude, said something in her language and walked off. a guy stood next to me I asked him is she okay? He said no, but she will be. I tried explaining that when I came in, I asked for an overlay with gel polish. She attempted doing "builder gel" and said that's the same thing. No it's not, when I came in the past I asked for the same thing and I got acrylic overlay and gel polish on top, when did it change to builder gel?. But anyways... So she roughly removed the work that was already done, the guy offered to let someone else do my nails I politely declined. When she finished removing the gel that she had applied I asked her name she responded "what you want my name for" I walked off and asked the front desk person what her name was, the rude tech is Kelly, or Kelli. However it's spelled. I've been coming here for years but they lost a customer today thanks to Kelly and her bad ass attitude. Please coach her on customer service. I came to West 7 Nail Bar hoping to fix a poor set of nails I received at another salon for a meeting I have in the morning. I was on the plane to Texas and looked for The best nail salon in Ft Worth and if sent me to West 7. Unfortunately, my experience here left me even more disappointed. The end result was not what I had asked for, and I left with nails in worse condition than when I arrived. Nails weren't shaped so they are a mix of flat, bumpy, uneven and without an apex. One of my nails didn't even get a second coat of gel, which left it looking uneven and unfinished. When I mentioned that it wasn't what I wanted, the response, from the owner was simply, "oh sorry" -- and the focus quickly shifted to the next client who had just arrived. I felt rushed aside, with no effort to make things right and they still charged me full price. I truly believe nail services should leave clients feeling happy and more confident and cared for, and I didn't feel that way after this visit. It started out hopeful and incredibly positive and went south after that. I now have wasted 3 hours and 150$ for two sets of bad nails. I hope the salon will take this as feedback to improve consistency, communication, and quality so that future guests have a much better experience. I came on a Thursday evening with my boyfriends mom. I got the gelx and French tip with fall colors. On the website they had a discount for $25 off but I only got $20 off which I didn't notice until I was gone. The booking service was a little hard because of the online and then the in person was different. I wish that they would've explained it versus being a little annoyed with us. The owner or manager came up to us during our service and asked up what our phone numbers were. No hello, how are you, can I get you something to drink? I was put a little off by this. My nail lady however was great! Her name is Helen and she was very patient with me because I talk with my hands and I had a hard time sitting still but I appreciate her for listening to my request for nails. HOWEVER, what I was not a fan of the fact that they are not super transparent about their prices from the get go. They didn't tell me that they charge extra for the shaping of the nail. I walked in around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon, wanting to get a pedicure. I was greeted immediately and sat without a wait even though they were visibly busy. Inside is brightly lit and gave full-on nail spa vibes. A full bar is available, and every chair has massage options to even further indulge in relaxation. My nail tech was great! She made sure the water was not too hot and at a comfortable temperature. She took her time and did a fantastic job! My only qualm: I may be splitting hairs here. But I was asked a few times whether I wanted gel or not, and every time I answered for just normal paint, no gel. There must have been a miscommunication because I was given a gel pedicure. I went here for a year, monthly, and only booked with Kimberly and Peter. When Kimberly went out of town for 2 months, the first appointment I made, which was in June, was perfectly fine, but then the appointment I went to in July was the worst experience I had ever had at a salon. I had booked my pedicure and Gel-X set at the same time, as I would usually do, and had made it very clear I needed my nails and toes done at the same time as I had a very important outing afterwards planned. Needless to say, my toes were completely done before they even started on my nails, and not because I didn't remind them that I was in a time crunch this particular appointment. In fact, I had been told multiple times when asking when my nails were going to be started that I was "next to have my nails started" and "just 15 more minutes", but my old set wasn't even taken off until 1.5 hours after my scheduled appointment time. I always get generally the same thing: Gel-X square, medium length, with french tip and a minimal design of flowers/something along those lines. Now, the man who eventually did my nails went very quick, which I appreciated, but by the time he even started painting them, it was 8pm (my appointment was originally for 5:30pm). The nail in the coffin was that I get to the checkout, and the price is the most expensive it has ever been in a year of going there. When pointing that out, and mentioning that it was nearing 9pm for a 5:30pm appointment, I was told it was due to the "artwork". I had chosen probably the most simple design I've ever gotten, even more minimal than the 1st time I went there while Kimberly was gone. And when checking out at that June appointment, the price was what it was usually. So, that wasn't a good excuse as to why the price was a substantially higher amount than normal. When continuing to look into this and talk to the owner, I was told "maybe Kimberly gives you a discount," which also wouldn't make since considering the June appointment, the 1st time I didn't go to her, was the usual price I have always paid. I ended up just paying, but when I asked to go ahead and schedule next month's appointment, after I had been told by the other manager that Kimberly would be back August 19th-20th, the owner said "well I don't know when she'll be back, so you can't schedule that far in advance." The other manager had literally just told me when she gets back, so he was obviously lying/making something up again. This owner, by the way, had sat with two other girls for 45 minutes who's nails got done way before mine AS A WALK IN. He also had some type of drink in his hand, which I usually don't care about coming from a bartending background, but when me and him are going back and forth, and he's slurring his words and obviously can't raise any actual points to any complaints I had, and continously raising his voice at me, there becomes an issue with having a drink on the job. I love Kimberly and Peter, and didn't want to leave due to the fact they are amazing at their jobs, but I got burned so badly from this experience that I couldn't bring myself to come back to this business again. If you're going, only ask for Kimberly for nails or Gel-X and Peter for pedicures. If you can't get them, go to Skyline Nails across the street, where they are actually considerate of your time and money, and you also don't get charged $10 for a glass of boxed white wine, as you get a complementary drink with your service at Skyline. I never try to leave reviews like this but for someone who was a regular who always made sure to tip well and take care of their nail techs, yet still got treated so badly, I feel like it was necessary to say my two cents on this. To end this, just know that the employees here are generally great and kind, but that owner is a nightmare. read more

Went in for a relaxing experience with the hubs. We walked in with no appointment, around 5 on a Tuesday. We both got a * deluxe pedicure and * signature manicure These were done simultaneously and were very relaxing with the hot stones and massages!! I was not allowed to choose a color, but walked to my seat- so I showed a photo of the color, shape I wanted and was given 1 option- so we went with it. Not exact but fine. My pedicure was great. My manicure leaves a bit to be desired. At no point did the manicurist (I believe her name was Tina) check to be sure I liked the length, shape, color, or end product. I had to get someone else to come file a few bits off after she finished and walked away to start on someone else. If you're big into attention to detail, not sure you'll be pleased. I have been to Kelly at least 3 times for soft gel-my first time with this specific product. I came in asking for dip and told her I wanted natural looking nails. Kelly said she could do dip but thought I would be happier with the more natural looking soft gel nails. She created a beautiful set of nails and has continued to give me the same quality each time. I can easily go 3+ weeks before seeing any unsightly grow out. During most of my visits I get a Deluxe Pedicure with whoever is available-all good practitioners. I had made an appointment for the ultimate manicure and was downgraded without my permission to just their classic. I was never offered even a water and there are spots missing on my nails and polish on my skin. I was only charged for the classic but what the classic entails, I already do at home. The last two times I've attempted to use them, they discourage you from even coming in. Literally, they say they will not honor the bookings on their website that look available to you, they'll take whoever walks in First. Then they tell you they're so busy that you may as well not show up! Or that you will have a long wait... Again, this has happened the last two times I've called. I have found that the magnolia nail bar on seventh Street as well as The Four Seasons nail bar on seventh Street are much more customer, friendly, and actually want to receive customers. :-) The work at each one is excellent, so I recommend you choose one of those instead of this West seventh nail bar. read more

She packs it on and brushes it out a few times but it was VERY lumpy. I asked was she going to even it out - she mentioned she's not done. I was very patient and allowed her to finish. She continued then tried to shape my nails and I guess... buff them out?! So I asked again are you going to fix them. I guess she got irritated. The guy next to her said "she'll fix and put polish on it". How do you slap polish on a very unprofessional and sloppy job. Once I saw how angry she started to get - I requested another nail tech. The "manager (a guy)" comes over and she grabs my hand aggressively and speaks in their language. Rude. I mentioned I'd wait and willing to continue to pay for my services - I just want someone else. Eventually, they paired me with Kelly. Who tried to save the day as much as she could. (thank you) Not even a week later and my nails are chipping, cracking and lifting from the bad fill in job. Worst customer service in all of Fort Worth. I was forced to write a positive review the first time I got my nails done here. Boss makes up policies on the spot and doesn't care what customers he screws. My nails are ruined after they were damaged easily within the first few days at home. They had someone "try" to fix them but with little care and no matching colors. They look worse than they did before. And all I got was an uncaring "sorry" as he walked off. I work a busy schedule and wasn't able to get them fixed. And now there is an "10 day or less" to help me but I still have to pay full price. Again. I have been a great customer, showing up to my appointments, allowing my nails to be used for promotion, and always tipping. Now I have to find a new place to get my nails done and the owner could care less. This is the kind of business that does not treat any good customer with kindness or gratitude.
