I used to go the old Claremont location when I lived in the area, and staff there was just as helpful. I'd say that the new store has maintained its customer service. The used Shania cd was $2.99, and the new Methodman cd was $12.99. Not bad at all. I'd definitely come back again when I'm in town.

As soon as we walked in, there was a live stream going on, and the cashier came across pretty loud and a bit intimidating, at least from my teenager's perspective. To keep things simple, I just told him to grab what he was looking for and we'd head out. While he browsed, I ended up finding a couple of records for myself too. The shop itself is really cool and has a unique vibe, different from other record stores I've visited. It's not your typical setup, which makes it stand out in a good way. I also noticed the building is a historic landmark. All in all, it was a unique experience, and I'm glad we stopped in.

Weird start but headed there anyways. After lugging my 40 lb bin of CDs from the parking lot, I stood for minutes before being greeted with "I hope that's not CDs." I was told how backlogged on CDs they were and after checking one and talking to me condescending about "Do you see how long that one took to inspect? I have to do that a couple hundred times." He looks through 3 CDs out of 200, called them "Trash" and "Garbage" because of wear FROM ACTUALLY BEING LISTENED TO! He said I'll pass on this and sent me on my way. I understand what I had wasn't perfect, but you can tell someone without being a jerk. The rude and condescending staff left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I'm starting to collect vinyl but even if they had a sought after record I was looking for, I'd tell Penny Lane to pound sand!

I looked up "records" on Yelp since I've been looking to rebuild my music collection with the termination of Spotify. It's got this old school arcade vibe, but there's a small rack with CDs, a section for records, another section for manga, merch and t-shirts in the back, and old school video games, consoles, and other stuff you can buy. There are two cabinets that allow you to pick games that you want to play, but don't take too long or you'll lose your credit. These games take quarters, so that's my gripe and what the minus one star is for. The workers here are cool and chill. There's a vending machine for snacks. I'll probably come by again one day when I'm in the area. It reminds of of the small arcades back in the day, so it's a nice trip to Nostalgia Town. There were two buddies who came in and got what sounded like was $20 worth of quarters to play. That was really awesome to hear a big chunk of quarters get dispensed. Have fun if you go!

First time coming here for my first One Piece TCG prerelease, and it was a complete mess. I arrived…read more10 minutes before the scheduled start time with a confirmed "successful" status in the Bandai TCG app. When I reached the front of the line, the owner turned us away, claiming the event was full. He tried to blame us for being late (even though we were on-time) claiming he told "everyone" to show up early. He then admitted he gave our reserved spots to those who showed up much earlier and weren't "successful". I called the store prior to the event to get update and I was told to check their Discord for announcements, but they never posted a single detail about the event schedule or early arrival expectations. We pointed out that we were on time and properly registered through the official app. It was our first pre-release event and we didn't know you had to arrive an entire hour early to wait in line (according to him). He ignore what we were saying and walked away. He returned a few minutes later with asking if we were "done whining" so he could just sell us the prerelease kit to get us to leave. I didn't want to leave empty handed after driving far, so I bought the kit and even apologized for making him upset and he completely ignored me. The owner is an incredibly stubborn, unprofessional man-child who refuses to follow Bandai's official tournament guidelines or listen to reason. I've already filed a formal complaint with Bandai so hopefully they lose their official store status and event privileges. Save yourself the headache and support a local game shop that actually respects its players and basic communication. Edit to reply to owner: Raul, you were the one who threw a tantrum when called out for not following Bandai's rules. I apologized for merely telling you the truth, an apology you didn't even deserve. Yet, you completely ignored it because you couldn't handle being wrong. Of course I'm writing a negative review; you are a terrible person. Going back to edit your response with a petty jab only proves the point. Take a look at your store's negative reviews. Every single one points directly to YOU and your toxic behavior. The Selection: As a record store, they should have a wide selection of CD's and vinyls, with subgenres and variety. That is something this record store does not have. You'll find your favorite bands catalog just to find 1 or no CD's/Vinyls. And this isn't because the band is niche, it's just because THEY HAVE NOTHING. Pricing: The pricing here is outrageous. I found one CD i wanted to buy online from the official bands website. I found the same CD here at the rathole for 10 dollars more than the actual band is selling it for. Not only are they price gouging and jacking up the price, they're basically scamming and ripping everyone off.
