Burger

Light Sunday lunch around noon by the water was fantastic! Highly recommend to wind down, relax, and drink a cold beer on a Sunday afternoon. The menu is very limited, so we all got burgers. Service was rather on the slower end, ~40 mins for our food to arrive and it was a slow day. Burger was a solid 6.5/10, so it was good, but not something you'd expect from a brewery! But it does the job. Beers are always good, and the views were perfect. Parking was easy since there's a lot.

I give the 5th star again because the pizza and dishes are way improved. Great amount of toppings, the choices to add/swap-out ingredients and the yummy pizza dough is now addictive. Friendly hostesses, bartenders and servers here. A lot of longtime and familiar workers. Beautiful views of the harbor. Wednesday evenings have live music with BOOGIE playing a wide variety of songs on his selection of guitars. A must see/listen! Goes without saying, but I will. Wonderful selection of beers and weekly beer specials. They have mixed drinks and tropical libations as well. Great place for visitors and locals.

Kona Brewing was a perfect place to stop between our East Oahu activities. The harbor view is the perfect backdrop for lunch and a beer. I started out with Liliko'i Kea, it was light and refreshing yet still flavorful. I had the mahi tacos and they were good and made with fresh caught fish. They also had some unique items on the keiki menu which my daughters enjoyed.

Sliders

Kona Brewing has gone down hill over the years. Last visit, I got the sliders. The buns and patties were super dry! I had to drench the burger in ketchup and eventually ditch the buns. Bummer because I used to like stopping here after hiking.

So nice and breezy!

This is a nice breezy restaurant in the Koko Marina Shopping Center in Hawaii Kai. It is right on the marina so beautiful views! Lots of parking and seating! There is a huge bar with a large screen TV to enjoy! Started coming here a year ago to celebrate a friend's birthday! The menu is extensive with salads, burgers and Mexican food! It's a nice place to have lunch after going to the monthly craft fair, especially because they have restrooms! Check out the Burger Specials! Last Saturday, my friend and i had the special: Guacamole with bacon, lettuce & tomato! So juicy and delicious! Just oozing with fresh guacamole! My friend said it was the "BEST" she has ever eaten! I have to agree! Plus, the service is quick, fast and accomodating!

Came here on a Monday that happened to be a holiday, and the service was extremely slow. Even when the drinks came out, they were mixed up and given to the wrong people at the table. We waited at least 20 minutes between drinks and ordering our food, it felt like we had to look out for our waitress just to get an order in. Food-wise, I got the sliders, the sliders were good, but I honestly didn't understand the pickle placed on top of the bun instead of inside very odd. The waitress asked if I wanted cheese on the slider which I replied yes, but the portion of the cheese was so little, it was easy to miss. My friend ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp and nachos. The Caesar salad was alright, I did really like the nachos though. They were good and a huge portion, so that was a plus for sharing. We split the tab, the waitress added a drink that someone else's on my tab, which was frustrating to catch at the end. The ambiance is nice though it's right in the water which I love. Overall, the food was decent, but the service issues really took away from the experience. It wasn't even that busy inside so not sure what the hold up was. Hopefully this was just an off day, but it definitely didn't leave a good impression.

Came here after work just in time for their happy hour from 3-6pm. It was also Wednesday and they had Kama'aina Wednesdays which offered 15% off all food items! We were seated outside on the patio right next to the docks. It was nice and breezy with a stunning sunset view. Service was friendly and attentive, the staff kept our waters filled and made sure we always had a drink. Our server got a few of our orders wrong but quickly fixed it when we brought it to her attention. Overall, the food was decent but the nachos were disappointing. The chips were stale and had barely any cheese on it. The cheese was also dry and hard so you couldn't really scoop it up. It seemed like it could've been sitting out for awhile too. Surprisingly, the best item were the pizza rolls on their happy hour menu. It came out warm and crispy, definitely a fave for the table. It's a decent place for happy hour if I'm in the area and want to enjoy outdoor scenery but it's not a place I'd frequent regularly.

Beet Salad, added shrimp and avocado
Debra N.

For a very busy place, a experienced waitress was polite and took 12 individual orders on separate checks...awesome! I had the beet salad with added shrimp and avocados. The balsamic vinegar and oil really kicked up the greens, halved tomatoes that gave a sweetness and slightly tart. It grabs your palate! Shrimp was charred and well seasoned. That was the tastiest salad I ever had! Definitely, I'll be back! We added to the ambiance by singing a four part harmony acapella Christmas Carole for all to enjoy in the restaurant...Na Leo Lani Chorus - Barbershop Style...Ciao!

Directions were kind of off to get to the restaurant. Service was a bit slower than expected. Plenty of parking once you get to the location. I ordered the ahi seared tuna salad and it was great. The pizza was about average overall. If you're someone brave enough to do the Koko trail and complete it, this spot is definitely worth eating at to relax. Views are great and plenty of space. Not a spot I would go to again prolly, but definitely worth going for the first time if you're new to the area & are on vacation.

I love a good Kona beer, so naturally had to stop for one. Place is fairly big, right at the marina, so decent views, outdoor seating, and cold beer. I wouldn't say the food is spectacular, but for a quick bite while enjoying your beer, it will do. The server was very friendly, patient recommending beers to try, so a good experience overall. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but would stop by again if in the area.

A beautiful location sitting right at waterside in Hawaii Kai. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm, and there was a line outside the door. It took about 15-20 minutes before we were called to our table, but we got seated in about pretty nice spot, just inside the patio. We could see the water and the boats outside, but still feel the a/c at our seats. The food and service overall were okay; nothing over the top. I has wanted to get the Burger of the Week, but our server said they ran out of the sauce (wth? Can't they make more?), so I settled for the regular Koko Burger. It was okay, but I really wanted to try the Korean style burger. We also ordered the nachos and Caesar salad as apps to share, along with a pizza and a Keiki Quesadilla for the baby. A couple of beers down and the food came just in time to quiet down the baby, who was starving. The food was alright, as was the service. The ambiance was definitely "touristy", and pretty loud, with lots of visitors and families enjoying the great weather and the view.

We fell in love with Kona Brewing years ago and their Kona location is one of our favorite spots. Of course, when we visited O'ahu we had to visit the Kona Brewing here. It definitely has a different vibe, but the same great tasting beer. It's located at the Koko Marina Center amongst other businesses and right on the water. The restaurant is more modern than its Kona counterpart and there's plenty of air conditioning and air flow as it sits right on the water. There's still the Kona Brewing personality with art everywhere and they have a merch store with some fun shirts, growlers, stickers and more. Since it's on the water, they have covered open air seating with beautiful views of the water and nearby scenery. There's plenty of seating, including a very large bar with seating on three sides. The team is friendly here and we had great experiences during both of our visits. The bar does have tvs and it's a full bar so it can get a little louder if something exciting is on. Our favorite thing to order is the pepperoni rolls, but everything on the menu pairs well either the beers. They offer fish, burgers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, and pizza. While the original in Kona will remain our favorite, we'll definitely be back anytime we're on O'ahu.

View of Hawaii Kai

The Koko Marina Biat view very nice. Breezy enough to enjoy the trade winds. The wooden chairs needs to be wiped down. Very sticky to sit on. The server was attentive. Needed to ask for drink refills. The Burrito was good. Full of cubed steak. The chips that came with it was not so fresh. The burger was too well done to be considered a Charred burger. My first time there in a long time left me disappointed.

We had a friend visiting from Scotland and wanted to give him an authentic pub experience, and Murphy's delivered in every way. We grabbed seats at the bar, always the right move, and were taken care of by bartenders who were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff was super nice about it and was able to accommodate us, with only a small request that we be out by 8pm since there was another big party with a reservation coming in. Absolutely reasonable. They sat us right away at three large tables, which gave us plenty of space for food and didn't force us to sit super close together. Menus, waters, plates, napkins, and forks were all brought out immediately, and our waiter was quick to take our order. We started with the prix fixe menu for 8-10 guests and were going to add other items à la carte, but a handful of our group accidentally went to the other Side Street location (make sure your group is all on the same page), so what we ordered ended up being more than enough. We left stuffed and with 5 boxes of food still. Edamame was nice and steamy, and large enough to easily pop the beans out with your mouth. Wish there was a bit more salt though. The farmer's salad had everything going on from citrusy to salty to crispy. Avocado had a little bit of oxidation but the capers, dressing and potato curls provided plenty of reasons to overlook it. The fried rice came in a hefty portion, with sizable pieces of bacon and sausage. The chicken I didn't realize was boneless based on the shape of the deep fry, but it was nice to freely bite into it without worrying about hitting anything with my teeth. Probably a bit too much on fried bits but still good. Pork chops had a better meat to crisp ratio in my opinion, as well as juiciness. They even came with ketchup on the side, which I love as a pairing but don't see much of at restaurants. My favorite meat item was definitely the sizzling boneless kalbi. The presentation on the sizzling plate with a side of kimchi was spectacular, and the meat was full of flavor. We also ordered yakisoba, which wasn't part of the prix fixe. Tasted good but nothing past standard expectations. We let the waiter know we had a 30th birthday at the table, and they brought a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream with a candle, and did a decent job getting the whole room to participate in the singing. It could also be the type of crowd this place attracts, since it seemed that everyone was so friendly and approachable. Thanks to the quick and consistent service, we were out in a little over an hour with no complaints.
