Koma Bistro was a big miss! I had high expectations of the service because of the previous establishment. The service was slow and it was barely 5 tables occupied in the establishment. My friend is a vegan and tried to order several of their vegan menu options and they were out of vegan cheese. She tried to order garlic knots and they were out of those as well. I ordered the drink Fiery Rose. It was gorgeous. However, I didn't taste one hint of alcohol. I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings with not one hint of flavor or crisp on the wings. I asked for blue cheese to give them some flavor but the waitress never bought it out. I then decided to order the Koma Q pizza on waffle crust. It was delicious. I was happy to finally get a dish that was good. This is when the service took a deep turn to the 1 star. After waiting for over 40 minutes for my pizza I finally was not hungry and decided to take it to-go. I asked for a box and bag. They were out of bags too. They had none of the basic restaurant supplies. Then we were asked if we could move from our table so another party could sit there. *shreek* We agreed but I will not be returning. I can get the vibe they were going for but they are just too new of an establishment to have terrible service. Lastly, The ambience was no different than the previous business. This place was a no for me. I went two different times and the experience was the same. Friday- Went with two friends. We all ordered the Fiery Rose. It wasn't impressive. Everyone's drink had different garnishes. We were told the bartender was brand spanking new and didnt know how to make the drinks.When our food finally came, it was barely warm. Plus, I received the wrong order. My friends experienced a barely warm pizza as well. Saturday- I went again with a group to give the restaurant another chance. I figured maybe it was an off night on Friday. Nope. There was more of the same. However, we ordered the Liquid Koma drink, and it was better than the Fiery Rose. One of my friends is vegan and was excited about the vegan options on the menu; however, those options weren't available because they were out of vegan cheese. When the general manager came by, my friend shared this with her and the gm told us that they were not out of vegan cheese but out of pesto sauce. Well, that wasn't the case because I ordered the pesto bread with nonvegan cheese, which was barely warm-again. My other friend ordered the garlic parmesan wings, and she was not pleased because her wings were soggy. She shared this with the gm who told us that they bake their wings. Then, we were told that CBD drops could be added to drinks but it isn't advertised on menus or at the bar. If no one told us through a Q&A session, we would never have known. This info wasn't shared by the waitress on the previous visit either. The restaurant replaced a previous wine bar but Koma didn't really do any decor or changesnto make it their own. The vibe is the same: low. There is really nothing about this space that creates an upscale experience. I probably won't be returning. read more

It pains me to give this place a bad review, because I was really rooting for it. The waffle pizza was one of the worst things I've ever eaten. It tasted like the waffle was frozen, got freezer burned, then put in the microwave. The foot was barely warm & didn't taste fresh. It did come quickly though, which also supports my microwave theory. Our waitress was attentive but super soft spoken compared to the loud r&b playing. Everyone else in the restaurant were either drinking or eating wings, so maybe that is the better route to go. Hopeful that maybe I just went on a bad night for pizza, because it's hard to believe if it's always that bad. read more

These are the best wings I've ever tasted. They are baked and the meat literally falls off the bone. They have a selection of flavors that aren't on the menu. I also got the pizza on a cauliflower crust. It was very good. The staff is very interactive and helps you sort through the menu. They guide you to help you select a item that would fulfill you. It is a small venue but not too small. They usually have a very nice pandora playlist playing in the background but it's not too loud and you are able to hear your guest across the table from you without yelling. My family and I came here for a weekend getaway and decided to visit a few BOB's. I loved the vibe, decor, and music in this restaurant, the service was great and the drinks were also delicious. We didn't care for the wings because they were double baked (not listed on the menu as baked - so of course we assumed they'd be fried) and it wasn't the fact that they were baked, it was the point that they were extremely dry, and the flavors weren't really there. We got half honey lemon pepper and half garlic Parmesan but couldn't tell which was which. read more

NICE establishment! Waitresses and owners are all very friendly. I love the season Mardi Gras Cheesecake and they even have a beer owned by the owner. The wings are top in the city and the location is perfect. I had lemon pepper wings but word on the street is the garlic Parmesan is where it's at!!! read more

Everything I'm about to say is about the same as the previous one-star reviews... this restaurant is not reading reviews and trying to not make anything better. I went on Wednesday for lunch and the food was actually Horrible. I have a vegan friend who came to try some vegan appetizers, well just like the other reviews out of most things vegan. The service was poor as well and I agree that this is just a downgrade from the nice wine bar that was there. Had high hope for this place but was very very disappointed after leaving the restaurant not only did I get sick but the friend I came with started to not feel well either. 17$ for the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Will not be returning save your money and go to mellow mushroom for pizza. P.S. the definition of a bistro - is a small, relatively simple restaurant, especially one offering French or French-style food. (Pizza was created by the Italians as a quick snack for the working class) nothing about this restaurant says bistro or French. read more

This place is awesome. Disclaimer: we went when it was dead, our party of 2 was the only group in there. The service was awesome, and the food was even better. The Sie's Pie pizza with waffle crust was awesome, as were the crawfish dip and the honey lemon pepper wings. The strawberry lemon cheesecake is one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. If you are on a date you can probably get seated quickly but if you're with a big group it'll take a while to get seated because it's a smaller venue. Took us 30 mins to get seated. Are you kidding me? My friend and I walked in and were essentially the only ones there. Based on the food, it definitely shouldn't have been empty. We split the crawfish dip, which was fantastic and flavorful. I got the Sie's pie on a waffle. The sauce was straight up delectable and the waffle was fluffy on the inside with a crunchy exterior. Visited this restaurant for the first time on yesterday after a Mardi Gras parade, with my kids and some friends. My experience here was not what I expected. When we first arrived we had about a party of 11. First, we stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes before anyone came to acknowledge us. Then, we were told we have to make reservations online for more than a party of 6 and that it would take their manager 24-48 hrs to approve it, but then mentioned that they would accommodate us. Well if this was the case why mention us reserving online from the start? It also took us about 1 hour and a half to even receive our food ! The waitress keep forgetting things we've ordered and that thin sliced pizza wasn't worth 17$. I ordered the marghar pizza and I had to send it back because it was dry and too spicy. I even ordered my 8 year old the waffle pepperoni pizza and he took one bite and didn't like it! This is the reason why I hate supporting black owned businesses because customer is ALWAYS as expected poor and unprofessional! I Will not be back ! read more
