The lavender latte is so so good. One of my favorites. Today I had the arepa which was completely customizable. I picked my base, my protein and my toppings. I ended up getting an arepa with shredded chicken, cheese and avocado. The chicken has so much flavor. 10/10 recommend. The service was very sweet, timely, and pleasant. This is the 10" Make Your Own pizza. I couldn't decide which ONE I truly wanted, why not just make your own? Attempting to be healthier, I went with the cauliflower crusted pizza. I chose to order it with tomato sauce, feta cheese, chorizo (Colombian sausage), cilantro & mushrooms. As you can see, it was made & served without the ordered chorizo. They serve breakfast and lunch, but I stopped in for breakfast because the morning aroma of cinnamon caught my attention. I ordered their Bombo Croissant (a croissant with a shot of espresso, warm condensed milk, cinnamon, and powdered sugar) and Guava and Cheese Croissant. Both absolutely delicious! Their menu looks really great with a variety of options from Arroz con Pollo to Vegan Bandeja Pesa. Their prices are a bit high (the croissants were $5.99 and $5.55). Kolombia Cafe is located in the SoDo section of Orlando, Florida. It is just off of Orange Avenue on that street that serves as a collection of restaurants and businesses and dead-ends at the Target. If you are unfamiliar with the SoDo area of Orlando, it is just south of the downtown area. The name is derived from its location, SoDo stands for SOuth of DOwntown. It is an area that certainly has changed a lot since I moved to Orlando back in 2001. This is a great place to kick back and enjoy a cup of their coffee. They also have food, though I did not try any. Both indoor and outdoor seating is an enjoyable way to savor your coffee. I was here on an early Sunday, so parking was not an issue, but be advised that parking can be problematic. All in all, I woukd definitely recommend here. read more

I went to the Kolombia Cafe a couple hours after the lunch rush hoping to grab some dessert and go. They ended up being somewhat busy and there was a line for ordering. I ended up ordering a few different desserts to take home to my family. The cake was fabulous and very rich! The brownie with toppings was also nice and gooey with great flavor! The only reason I gave the 4 stars instead of 5 was there were no prices listed anywhere and I was very surprised when 3 small desserts put me over $30 on the bill. While they were good... I do not feel they were worth the price paid. The seating area was nice and cozy inside and I might go back to enjoy coffee in the morning. Overall nice place! read more

Just tried Kolombia for the first time and my wife and I really enjoyed it. My wife is Brazilian and so we love Brazilian/South American food. The Coxinha are big and taste delicious. They also have several desserts that we tried. They also tasted great. The staff and owners are very friendly and informed us new items are coming soon. A one stop shop for great empanadas and coffee! I found myself visiting Kolombia Cafe after several training sessions across the street for work. The staff are super friendly and always know what to recommend for a nice pick me up in the middle of my work days. Not only do they offer decadent desserts but are also health, preference and allergy conscious which is where they really shine. There are a myriad of Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan savory and sweet options available, showing that they are acutely in touch with the growing awareness for those of us with dietary restrictions. I have to be honest, we completely went nuts and ordered enough (GF, Vegetarian) Empanadas, Yucca Rolls and Pan de Bonos for two full days. Everything was delicious and had interesting and tasty dipping sauces. We added fresh Maracuya juice to the order and it was fantastic. The owners are from Chile which I found interesting, and feel that this explains the other options available that aren't 100% Colombian, but as a Colombian who is GF and Vegetarian, I really appreciate the food and desserts. The ambience was fantastic, but the empanada was really awful. I guess I was expecting a delicious, flaky, and yummy filled pocket. What I got was a teeny, tiny, corn crust (corn?), not so delicious item. I had the orange juice. It was fresh squeezed and totally delicious. I was very excited to try this place after seeing a lot of videos on instagram. I ordered two chicken stroganoff and pao de queijo. The chicken was bland and the fries were almost raw. They didn't have any color to it. The pao de queijo was good but extremely overpriced in my opinion. I wanted to try the desserts but I was so disappointed with the food that I didn't feel like paying for an overpriced dessert that might no be as good. We had been passing by this restaurant a couple times and decided to stop in and try. Thankfully they have two reserved spots for those who would like to dine in at the restaurant. Great to see since parking is so difficult in the area. The menu has so so many options. It's actually kind of difficult to navigate since there is so many things that sound delicious to choose from. This is such a cute intimate breakfast/brunch spot. I love how they do bottomless mimosas everyday. It is a smaller venue so I don't recommend going with more than two or three people. The food was delicious. The service was nice. The menu was we different - essentially you choose a bread base, and then add your meats, veggies, cheese to create your own sandwich for breakfast. I stumbled upon this restaurant looking for anywhere with vegan options for my friend and we were both delighted! The ambiance feels like a coffee shop and a wine bar and there were tons of bakery items on display that were very enticing. The cashier was very helpful explaining the menu and ingredients also. I ordered the Turkey Pepper Panini and the mayo-sriracha sauce, mushrooms, Mozzarella cheese, Kolombian dressing were amazing together. Not your typical panini which I loved. It also came with plantain chips and guac sauce. Everything was served on beautifully painted ceramic plates and dishes. I got three small Tekenos with guava and it was a perfectly sweet end of the meal. My friend got the vegan garden sandwich and vegan tres leches that were equally as good! I'll definitely be returning for more sweets and to try the coffee and wine. read more

The inside looked very cozy with plenty of seating at tables or counters, and the staff were very friendly. They offer a variety of drinks such as fruit juices/smoothies, coffee, and more alcoholic beverages than I expected. Their food menu is even bigger with plenty of breakfast/brunch items with vegan options and a badass bakery section. I got the maracuya juice ($4.25 for a medium) which had a lot of flavor but was way too sweet for me. I had to dilute it with a lot of water and it was still very sugary. Overall, I loved the casual vibes and the warm atmosphere, but I'd suggest going lighter on the sugar with the juices! read more

It seems that they are having a little trouble getting together. I arrived at the restaurant and they had customers waiting some time for someone to return to the cashier and we waited more than 5 min. After ordering, I waited more than 10 min and got my passion fruit juice and pão de queijo, but unfortunately, the pão de queijo was frozen inside, the server did not apologize and just said okay. Got new ones and they were super hot and burned my mouth. I appreciate that they are making new fresh ones every time but they need to keep them for 10 min. before serving to avoid a possible lawsuit. I had recently discovered this new coffee shop while I was in the SODO area heading to Target and I had to stop on by to check out what it was all about. Now walking into this coffee shop it was a smaller quaint shop that had all the personality that a coffee shop should. It had such colorful and quirky decor it really made the restaurant feel very inviting. Now as for the menu they had a wide variety of things from soups to sandwiches and traditional Colombian dishes. What I was very pleasantly surprised about was that they had vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. For the special of the day they had a vegetarian Bandeja Paisa which of course I had to get as I was very intrigued on how it would be executed because the traditional Bandeja Paisa is so meat forward. I must say I was not mad at it whatsoever... now I personally am not on a plant based diet whatsoever but after having that dish I must say that I did not miss the meat at all! We had also tried the beef soup, tuna salad sandwich, and the arepas. The soup tasted nice and comforting, the tuna salad was a pretty normal tuna salad nothing out of the ordinary but still tasty and the arepas were nice, crispy and delicious. We finished up our meal with a vegan banana bread which was alright but did manage to satisfy my sweet tooth. Oh and let's not forget the coffee.. now I'm pretty boring when it comes to my coffee as I like my coffee just black with no cream or sugar. From what I did have I thought it was a nice flavored brew. Overall I did enjoy my meal and the service was fantastic. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely stop by to get my caffeine fix and maybe a light snack. read more
