I originally came in a few years ago to have a VCH piercing redone after receiving one with incorrect placement elsewhere. The piercer was quick, gentle, and precise -- the placement was perfect, and I've had no issues since. During that first visit, I also fell in love with their jewelry selection. Yes, their pieces are a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and variety are absolutely worth it -- 10/10 every time. The receptionist is one of my favorite parts of the experience. When I first walked in, the lady who greeted me was very sweet and welcoming. Kyle was amazing, he was super chill and even though my piercing hurt I felt comfortable knowing he was doing it. You can tell he was well informed and experienced! If you go ASK FOR KYLE! I would say I had a perfect experience except there was another guy who I chose my jewelry with (he had giant black ear piercings in his ears and on his nose) who was rude. He needs to work on his customer service skills! I was glad he was not the one who pierced me! Like if you don't like answering questions about piercings...don't work there... I went in to fix a nose piercing and had Kyle as my technician. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I was very nervous but he made me feel at ease. I cannot speak for getting a piercing done as I came in with my own but based on my experience I am sure it would be great. Vibe: Lady at front desk was super friendly and had great energy. She seemed very attentive to the guests that came in. The gentleman who handled payment seemed a bit less outgoing and more reserved but still generally respectful. Generally the staff were all outgoing nice. So i knowingly made an appointment after my nose piercing closed but wasn't completely healed ( i knew i needed to wait). But I wanted what I wanted. I called around 3 o'clock and Carl let me know that the best time for me to come at 7 PM, they are by appointment only. He was kind and personable, he verified my age, name, and number. 7 o'clock comes around & I arrive, don't forget to give yourself extra time to find parking. This is located in Little Five Points. So I arrive and sign in. There are quite a few people in the waiting area, however, my name is called after about five minutes. We began to discuss the services I wanted. The beautiful young lady with the honey blonde twist and amazing aura let me know that I really should wait and fully explained why she recommended I do so. Her colleague then came over and shared additional details (the gentleman with the glasses, septum and double nose piercing. They educated me and let me know the potential outcomes if I decided to proceed either with them or an another shop. There was a little wait after I signed my waiver but the appointment in total took less than 1 hour. I got my second lobe piercing and the piercer was friendly and a perfectionist which I liked. My husband and I decided to get our nose piercings at the top of the new year. I had called and researched several different shops before finding on Kolo. Located in the heart of Atlanta's Little 5 Points neighborhood, there is ample street parking available and there are usually spots available if you go in the evening. The shop is currently taking appointments ONLY. I've seen them enforce this, so make sure to make an appointment before showing up. Not so funny story: on the day our appointment was set, we arrived and I realize I didn't have my ID so we had to reschedule. We rescheduled for two days later. On both days the shop had several masked customers waiting. I took that as a good sign. The lobby has several body jewelry displays, and if you don't see something you like in the ship, they have a website you can order from too. The owner pierced both of us and she is 100% professional and talks you through the entire process. My husband needed a longer needle and she could tell immediately. Rather than trying to force it through, she got a longer needle and sterilized it before using it to pierce him. Don't visit those $10 shops. If you want professionalism and cleanliness, I would definitely recommend going to Kolo. read more

This place does everything right. I have been pierced here on two occasions several years apart, and all of the staff have been very professional. They have a wide range of high quality jewelry, and their prices seem consistent with other professional piercing services. They will even anodize any of their titanium jewelry for free. Both of the piercers that pierced me were very friendly and clearly experienced. The employees have the health and safety of their customers in mind, as they will let you know if they think a certain piercing is not a good idea. This place is an absolute scam, I purchased a nose ring priced well over $200 and was overall in love with it...until it fell out of my nose two days later in my sleep..upon further inspection the base needle of the stud had simply broken off. I made an appointment (it's required due to Covid guidelines) fairly fast. They did have same day appointments available and everyone that helped me was extremely nice and professional. I got a dermal piercing by the owner (I believe). She was soooooo sweet and made me feel super comfortable. It didn't even hurt! She's really good at distracting and I could tell she was genuinely having a conversation with me and not just talking to talk. Make sure you have a hard copy of your ID. It is definitely needed. I switch purses that day and had to drive alllllllll the way home (1.5 hours away) to get it. Of course no fault of there's, but I did have a scanned copy of my ID in my files on my phone, but that's not acceptable. Just so you all know, in case you live far. It was so worth it though. I'm not mad that' my entire journey took 5 hours round trip (with traffic) for a dermal piercing. Haha. Again, totally my fault and I will be much more careful. Aftercare was explained thoroughly. Front desk staff amazing. Owner is amazing. Art and decor is AMAZING. Kolo is the best place to get a piercing in the southeast without a doubt! Kolo is truly a gem. Just a little back story; I came to them about a year ago because I got a forward helix piercing at a different piercing store that wasn't doing so great. About 6 months in it was still so sore and occasionally would bleed. I came to Kolo to get a second opinion and they were immediately able to tell me why I was having issues with this piercing. It was pierced at a weird angle and the jewelry was too big. I had them take it out that day and let it heal. I came in this time to have the forward helix done but on the opposite ear. I felt so great about my last experience with them and how informative they were that i had to come back. There is a wide variety of jewelry to choose from, but if this is a brand new piercing there are only select jewelry you can choose from. They are very honest and open about refusing to pierce with any jewelry that won't promote the initial healing process. Once in the back, the piercer made us feel very comfortable and double checked if we received the jewelry that we wanted and answered any questions or concerns before we got started. My ears are on the smaller side, and when she was marking it she had to ask for assistance. The guy working the front counter came back with a flashlight and held it above my ear so that the piercer could get perfect visualization. It was over before I could blink and two weeks later this piercing is doing much better than the other one was doing after 6 months. These people really know their stuff, and you definitely won't regret getting anything done here. 10/10 would recommend! read more

this place has excellent customer service and has quality services. But they no longer will allow you to come inside without an appointment which I think is absolutely stupid. I live in the neighborhood past the front door every day. I've been wanting to shop there for the last several years but can't go inside. i'm not gonna call to make an appointment when I live right there and I've spent thousands of dollars there before. As cautious as I am, sometimes I forget there's a pandy still going on. So when my sister and I wanted to look at BVLV earrings and found Kolo (we are both out of towners, Yelp is the best), we naturally (naturally *eyeroll* lol) thought we could just waltz right in and look at their selection. The locked door and nice sign (appointments ONLY!) told us differently. Lucky for us the staff in Kolo were really nice and accommodating. We told them we only want to purchase some earrings and we were able to come in. We purchased threaded earrings and Kyle placed them for us. Kyle is super awesome, personable and I would've gotten another piercing if they had the time. At the time of our visit, masks were 100% required, appointments also required. Very Rude and Horrible customer service. Me and my wife went in for our appointment and once we arrived we were told although we are fully vaccinated that we could not enter without a mask. No problem I walked to the store bought mask for the both of us. They then tried to tell my wife I could not come in.I had to stay outside (in the rain). She then said I was the one paying for the service, but of course they responded with they could accept my card at the door. So it was acceptable to take my money but not have the common decency to allow a customer to come in. You would think for some type of precautions right? No, a couple just walked out before us. And they kept their door lock telling you to not even knock on the door! Ii felt very close to discrimination because I am a black man with a woman who doesn't look black at all. Just like the first time, staff was very helpful and informative. My piercer Kyle was amazing! I didn't know what type of pain I'd be getting myself into piercing my nipples but I went for it anyway lol. Kyle made my experience very pleasant, perfect balance of humor and professionalism.
