When I finally had the chance to say why we were there she said it wasn't possible for us to look around because they are an appointment only shop. I get businesses have policies and she may have been overwhelmed with the load of the day but her delivery was very rude and off putting. It's unfortunate because we would have booked an appointment if we saw what we were looking for but I wouldn't trust someone so rude to pierce my skin.

I had been on the hunt for unique, exotic nose rings, and Kolo definitely delivered. Yes, their pieces are a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and variety are absolutely worth it -- 10/10 every time. The receptionist is one of my favorite parts of the experience. She has amazing energy, always gives thoughtful suggestions, and shares her personal experiences in a way that makes you feel heard and cared for. The bald guy that works there is also really cool -- calm, professional, and always pleasant on the phone. What I love most about Kolo is that they truly know their craft. They take anatomy seriously and won't pierce you unless it's the right placement for your body. That type of honesty and expertise is rare. I recently made the mistake of stepping out for a $10 belly ring special somewhere else... and it went south fast. I came back to Kolo, and they saved the day. Anywho I originally frequented the Columbia, SC location but have since moved to Atlanta and figured the same professionalism and quality would be here as well and I was right. Don't remember his name I'm horrible with names but never forget a face. Older black man with locs deep warm voice like a dad lol. But he was great. I got a double nose piercing; two on my right nostril and he made the process fast and held conversation to take my mind off him basically stabbing me in the nose twice lol. I love the placement of them being side to side and he used this measuring tool to check his spacing. I was in and out of there in under 20 mins with paperwork, getting my license copied, paying, picking jewelry, piercing, and the aftercare talk. Clean studio, smells of incense not smoke like a previous review I saw stated. I came in on a Tuesday they do half off select piercings. Picked out two little studs 2 for $40 but if you want the basic traditional studs it's 2 for $20. All in all I'm highly satisfied with how I was serviced and I'll be back when I heal up to possibly change to a hoop. Or get a new piercing. Parking isn't the best. It's just a driveway bc this used to be a house. They could definitely use better parking as the main road is hella busy I had to turn my hazard lights on as I moved my car to let someone out who was there before me.

I can't speak highly enough of Nurse Alexis and Nurse Q who were so diligent and so patient with our niece. They were very encouraging and thorough with their explanations and gave our niece very clear instructions on the aftercare of her piercing. The environment is very sterile and the nurses took the necessary precautions before piercing her ears which we really appreciated. They even accept walk ins! Can't recommend this place enough.

We wanted to get fine line Star Wars themed tattoos -- we provided the image and they advised to make the image a little bigger so the lines won't look shriveled over time. We agreed with their recommendation and got to the table with not much of wait. Everyone was very inviting, the place itself looked really cool and eclectic. I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. Or perhaps we should've visited in the beginning of our trip so we can return for touch ups at the end of our trip after the first couple of days of healing. Not sure. But still good vibes here!
