Overworked flowers last year
Taylor R.

I have been a client of Roger's since 2020 and have received nearly an entire sleeve from him. Unfortunately, the quality of his work and his professionalism have increasingly declined overtime. My most recent tattoo by him faded SIGNIFICANTLY during the healing process and resulted in it looking completely different from the original. I politely reached out to Roger but was met with a defensive and condescending response. Despite paying over $900, I am now forced to walk around with a tattoo that I am displeased with and feel uncomfortable showing. This is the first time I have been completely dissatisfied with a tattoo done by Roger but there have been other instances where he could have been more professional. He overworked my skin while doing another tattoo last year and to this day, the ink is still missing. While my skin sat irritated and broken during my session, he took a lengthy phone call and never discussed the state of my skin with me. I realized later how bad it was as it healed.

Literally AMAZING! The staff is very friendly and my artist @tattoosbyfuu is brilliant and crazy talented. I have not had a bad experience with my artist or this shop. I have a few more tattoos up my sleeve and will definitely be at this studio!

The Tiny Doors ATL is so unique to Atlanta. These doors are located all over Atlanta and most of…read morethem are accessible to the public! A couple of doors that I saw that required tickets to the event/location were the Georgia Aquarium and Botanical Garden tiny doors. I have visited many tiny doors and have even spent a day looking for them. Each door is uniquely designed for the place it is located. Each door was so special that it's hard to choose a favorite. I would recommend looking for them if you are visiting a place where one is nearby, but I wouldn't recommend dedicating time to search for these. The Tiny Doors ATL website has a map that locates each of the tiny doors with pictures, names, and number. Enjoy the views and happy finding! Since the Tiny Doors ATL art project started at the Krog Street Tunnel in July 2014, founder and…read moreartist Karen Anderson Singer has become a local celebrity. At the time of writing this review, there are over 20 public art installations of tiny 7-inch doors throughout Atlanta. Each was handmade and installed by Singer who, according to CBS Sunday Morning and CNN, takes anywhere from 40 to 60 hours to make a single door. She described them as a "love note to Atlanta." Once the doors are installed, they are maintained too. The doors are really cool and unique to the City of Atlanta. Atlanta is lucky to have Singer. From the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market to the Swan House in Buckhead, Tiny Doors have been popping up in places all over ATL. During the 2021 NBA Playoffs, Singer even unveiled a door at State Farm Arena with Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins and CEO Steve Koonin: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQuTUF-r87C/. You can check out all of Singer's amazing work on Instagram at @tinydoorsatl: https://www.instagram.com/tinydoorsatl/. My personal favorite doors have been Door #21 on the new Atlantic Green in Atlantic Station, unveiled in October 2020, and Door #658 in Inman Park near the border with Old Fourth Ward. Door #658 was originally unveiled at the Hotel Indigo in Midtown in 2019. It's now located at the Edge OTB apartment complex, facing the Atlanta BeltLine's Eastside Trail. The door is numbered 658 because it's 658 times the size of a standard 7-inch Tiny Door. I uploaded pictures of these two doors to Tiny Doors ATL's listing here on Yelp. As a homeowner in Atlantic Station since before the retail portion of the development opened in 2005, I'm proud to have Singer and Tiny Doors ATL as a neighbor and officially Atlantic Station's "Artist in Residence" as of April 2020. Tiny Doors' studio address is: 1380 Atlantic Drive Suite 14100 Atlanta, GA 30363 Park in the Atlantic Station garage near stairwell 10 (green color). The first two hours of parking is free. I recommend entering and exiting the garage via 16th Street which puts you on level P2. It's much easier to get in and out that way (less traffic/congested). Tiny Doors' studio doors opened to the public for the first time on July 17, 2020. Since then, Tiny Doors ATL has held Open Studio hours where the public can meet Karen Anderson Singer, see works retired and in progress, and browse and purchase #TinyDoorsATL merchandise. Check out Atlantic Station's events page (https://atlanticstation.com/event/tiny-doors-atl-open-studio/all/) and Tiny Doors' Linktree (https://linktr.ee/tinydoorsatl) to see future Open Studio dates and hours as well as a helpful map of where you can find Tiny Doors around Atlanta. Upcoming Tiny Doors ATL Open Studio hours are: * Saturday, November 20, 2021, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM * Saturday, December 18, 2021, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Recently, Open Studio has taken place the third Saturday of every month.

I started planning our wedding about 15 months in advance. My now husband and I had settled on a…read moreFrench Provencal venue outside of Austin, Texas - and I was looking at ways to make our wedding special. I really wanted it to have a French feel without being super over the top themed (I am half French, and knew that we were going to have actual people from France at our wedding). My husband had just vetoed a photo booth, so I had a thought, "I wonder if there is a watercolor artist who paints portraits, kind of like they do in (albeit my favorite) touristy part of Montmartre," and quickly started googling on a Friday evening. My efforts paid off in spades and led me to a buzzfeed article about Maggie and her 5 minute watercolor portraits. By Sunday evening, we were chatting on the phone with Maggie with a plan in place and had her booked that same night! In the year or so leading up to the wedding, Maggie was always easy to reach (and super sweet at that) whenever I had any questions come up, and I was beyond excited to actually meet her and see her talent in person. She very kindly did portraits of my then fiancé and I in advance, as well as one of our two dogs at my request. They turned out so beautifully, and she brought them framed to have displayed at our wedding. But really - our guests have not stopped gushing about Maggie. I was so sad that I literally only got to spend about 30 seconds with her after all this time, but everyone was so excited and interested in having Maggie paint their portrait! Ultimately she was able to paint about 70 out of our 105 guests. She arrived and set up before our ceremony, so I know a few people who arrived early and got portraits then - including 2 of my junior bridesmaids who had snuck out while we were getting ready. According to everyone (and my firsthand experience), Maggie was nothing but lovely, fun, and professional. It has been so fun to see our guests' portraits as they share them with us or pop up on facebook. We even got the added bonus of being featured in her new video series, The Wedding Painter, and have a super special video souvenir of our wedding day that we would not have had without Maggie. Thank you so much Maggie for making our day so special! Your talent and skillset are truly unique, and I hope that one day we can actually spend more than 30 seconds together, because I just want to be friends with you! If you are considering hiring Maggie for your wedding or event - DO IT! Do it early! She's a true gem, and you will have a difficult time finding anyone else that holds a candle to her!

Hiring Maggie for our wedding was arguably one of the best decisions I ever made for our wedding…read more I know that flying someone from Atlanta to San Francisco seems a bit over the top, but Maggie was so worth it. Everyone at our wedding commented how amazing it was to have someone actually live paint their portraits! I wanted our guests to feel special as a thank you for being a part of our day and this one definitely delivered. I wanted something personal but classy and Maggie was the way to go. Maggie's art is not only beautiful and a great gift to treasure for a lifetime but something also has to be said for her speed! She cranked out those portraits as if she was in a race and she did not look one bit frazzled. Thank you so much for making our day extra special! Be sure to book her at your next event :)
