Liberty Tattoo made us feel welcome. They work as a team and ultimately get a lot of tattoos done in a short amount of time because they have so many friendly, talented team members on their staff. Our tattoo artist did a fantastic job meeting our needs. I will definitely come back here if I need another tattoo
Got a small souvenir tattoo while I was in Atlanta from Scott and had a great experience and am very happy with my tattoo! I came in for a walk in on a Tuesday afternoon and was able to be in and out in under an hour for my small tattoo. The shop has a really cool vibe and I'd highly recommend them and Scott specifically for your next tattoo!
From Chicago....came to ATL on vacation. A bartender recommended this place for tattoos so checked it out. My tattoo artist Kenny did such a great job and my Tattoo came exactly like the picture. He was very nice and friendly as well. The only thing I was upset about was that I was quoted $100-$120 from the "receptionist" woman, but was charged $175 Instead. I almost died inside....but didn't complain. I was happy with my Tattoo
Amazing from start to finish! I was traveling to Atlanta for a business trip and I've decided as part of my travels to commemorate my travels by getting a tattoo. So months ago I began looking and found a couple of good shops. I reached out to each and Liberty was highly responsive to my inquiries. So about two weeks before they let me know Zak would be the artist and to reach out to him directly. We chatted via Instagram messenger and we decided on a date and time. Flash forward to Monday the 14th of March, I ubered up and headed to Liberty. From moment one Zak and I chatted and he was honest about the initial pictures I had sent him and the fact that they'd be hard to replicate. So we started looking for images and when I found the first attached picture. He was like that will work perfectly and will be one that lasts and won't loose it's integrity. So then he prepped the design in two sizes and we both agreed the larger one would be better. He also was able to place it an an area that makes it stand out and will when all said and done will be a centerpiece to the eventual sleeve. Zak is an amazing artist and his finesse with the actual needle work was amazing. I felt only a few of the needle strokes, it was the lightest touch and the outcome is amazing. He took his time, the hair on the body of the butterfly is delicate and precise. The color saturation is beautiful, the pixelization of the black mimics the photo and makes the butterfly pop. Zak did some lettering on my other arm and it came out beautifully. I have received tons of compliments in the last few days and I'm so happy with the work, that I'd fly back to Atlanta to work with Zak again. Id like to also compliment the shop. It was very welcoming from the music to artwork on the walls. The shop was full of light and the artists were genuinely having a good time together, signing, talking and engaging with their clients. If your looking to get a tattoo in Atlanta, this shop must be the shop you g
I had this tattoo for years (not done by Liberty) and recently reached out to Liberty to see if that could bring it back to life. I'm writing this review because it was extremely professional of them to give me the advise to start the tattoo removal process. They advised the tattoo was just too dark to make out of anything. And I hadn't thought about having it removed. They could have taken my money and not had a care what the outcome would have been. I'm appreciative, even though I've not had any work done with them I'd recommend anyone try them out.
To start, I had a good feeling the moment I walked in. It was such a warm welcome. I was greeted by not one, but two gentlemen who asked me what I wanted. After expressing that, one of them walked around the counter to get up close and see what I was talking about. ( These things make the guest feel special!) The man then talked to Anne, who eventually tattooed me, about what I wanted. She looked at it for a few seconds and told me she was going to sketch me something. After a few moments, she came back with SEVERAL sketches/ ALL EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!! I was thrilled and excited just from that. I picked one and was probably out of the shop 15 mins later. All for a pretty decent price. My tattooer Anne was heaven sent, but everyone there was truly so hospitable. I will be back very soon. BIG SIDENOTE: there's a tattoo parlor very close/across the street from this one. I stopped by before going into Liberty Tattoo and talked to them about a cover up. They "couldn't" do what I wanted, so they came up with something. They were going to charge me 180$!!! 180$!! MORE THAN DOUBLE of what I ended up paying for a 3 inch tattoo.(pics below) And their internet was "down" so they only accepted cash. I left out to go to an atm, being young and dumb and careless with my money, I was gonna do it. And BAM!! I saw Liberty Tattoo. And the rest is history. The universe is magic, just like ANNE!
My best friend and I got tattoos here this weekend and had a great experience. For both of us this was our first tattoo and the staff made the process easy and comfortable. Our artist was Kenny and he did a great job. We showed him our reference photos, and he re-created them exactly! Would definitely recommend, especially if it's your first time.
After contemplating getting my first tattoo (and sometimes chickening out), I finally made a visit to Liberty Tattoo. I knew exactly what I wanted and where, so I was able to email my design to the shop and the process was extremely easy. While my tattoo was not super complicated, I wanted it to be done well especially because it was in Arabic. Joey was my tattoo artist and she was so kind. She took great care to make sure I was doing okay during the session. She was professional, quick, and talented. Other friends previously complained about the pain of wrist tattoos but I had very little to no pain. I definitely recommend Liberty Tattoo and especially Joey for all your tattoo needs!
Great place & people. It was very clean and the artists are very talented. 10/10 would recommend coming here to get tatted! My artist was : David
Fading after 3 weeks! My friend and I got ours done together, after a few weeks of fading, we tried to call our girl Rachel for touch ups (which she said she'd do for free). I called on a Monday around 7:30pm to make sure we can come in but we were met with rude remarks and sarcasm. We were just told, "We don't do finger touch ups, and especially not for free. Rachel is leaving after this tattoo, you can come Friday." So I asked if there was anyone else who can do our tattoos, I was met with laughing and, "I'm trying to tell them (to Rachel). She'll see you Friday." My friend and i planned on seeing Rachel for the rest of our tattoo ideas, not anymore after the rude service and laziness. Definitely not the same service we received the first time.

My husband and I came here on our last day of our trip with the hopes they accept walk-ins... And they do! We wanted to get fine line Star Wars themed tattoos -- we provided the image and they advised to make the image a little bigger so the lines won't look shriveled over time. We agreed with their recommendation and got to the table with not much of wait. Everyone was very inviting, the place itself looked really cool and eclectic. I immediately thought of coming back for a flash deal if we were ever in town again! Very clean, very sterile, and very friendly -- so why one less star?? Unfortunately both our fine line tattoos have faded by the end of the week. The pressure didn't feel deep enough for either of us and the line work is VERY light. We already want them touched up but since we're not from the area, we'd have to find another artist. BUT that shouldn't take away fully from the good experience! Maybe if we weren't leaving to the airport after this, we would've been able to speak up and say to go a smidge thicker. Or perhaps we should've visited in the beginning of our trip so we can return for touch ups at the end of our trip after the first couple of days of healing. Not sure. But still good vibes here! read more

First tattoo. Rachel was fantastic! I was told she had a light hand. I barely felt a thing with my three plus hour tattoo. So my detail better than expected. I would highly recommend this shop and especially Rachel. Thank you! read more

Loved my experience here at liberty!! Normally tattoo shops intimidate me but they had someone there to make sure you got greeted and helped right away, which was a great sign to good business. I was a walk in (which I normally don't do but the reviews were really good so why not) I was nervous about the artist capturing my vision for what I wanted and lemme say she killllled it. Above expectation! I love my new tattoo thank you so much girl! My artist was Joey ! I would definitely recommend (:: read more

I got my first tattoo here with Joey and I still can't stop looking at it! She was so patient with me and really captured what I wanted and listened to my revisions. All of my friends have complimented on it being exactly as I described and so even all the way around my forearm. It healed very well beyond some barely noticeable blurring on the inside of my forearm which I'm pretty sure can be touched up and it is still really bright! First 3 photos are the day of, last 2 are now ~6ish weeks later read more

I was a tattoo virgin and until about a year ago it never crossed my mind. It was right for other people but not for me. But then some things started happening in my life and I thought this was a simple change that would make me happy. I decided on Liberty after looking into several Atlanta shops. I then thought carefully about my design because it is permanent after all. The moment I walked into the shop the staff made me feel comfortable although I was still shaking inside. I cannot say enough about my artist David Victor who is amazing! He talked me through the process and immediately put me at ease! Any pain was minimal but mostly just stinging sensation and within half hour it was done and just what I wanted! Too soon yet to know if I'll get more tattoos but if I do they will only be with David! Thank you so much!! read more

This was my first ever tattoo and I was very apprehensive and nervous to say the least. We walked into Liberty and were greeted by the friendly Sten. He made a stencil of what I wanted and gave me his frank opinion of what the tattoo would look like if I made it any smaller. He gave me great advice on the placement of the tattoo and was super professional throughout. I went home with the stencil placed so that I could think about it for one more night. Sten does walk ins on Saturdays from 3 pm onwards and told me that I could come back at that time once I had decided on what I wanted to do. We came back on a Saturday and Sten came in right around 3 pm. We got started with the tattoo shortly after. I was so nervous about the pain and once I sat down in the chair, realized it was not so bad! Sten was so calm the entire time and this helped ease any worries I might have had. My tattoo was in Sanskrit and once I saw the end result, I realized (even more) that Sten is truly a master at his craft. He is extremely detail oriented and precise. The tattoo looked better than anything I could have ever imagined. He gave me good instructions on after care and provided the best first tattoo experience! I will definitely go back to Sten in the future and will be recommending him to everyone I know. Thank you Liberty and thank you Sten for giving me an epic work of art! read more

Ink by Rachel. It was my first tattoo and I wanted someone small and simple with fine lines. It only took around 5 minutes and costed $60. I'm so in love. I was a walk-in and was in and out within 30 mins. Ended up coming back the same day for my friends to also get tattoos read more

"Saturday's are walk-ins love, come over anytime..." a friendly voice greeted my specific question regarding appointments at 2pm on a stormy Saturday afternoon. I was met with polite yet efficient service and my two-inch design was quickly drawn up by Joey. Artists have their own clean yet customised booth setups and hers was strewn with photos and drawings, which I was grateful for throughout the 45 minute session as I looked around for solace. It really wasn't that bad, her line work was precise and she put all of her attention into getting it right. The shop minimum was $50, and in my humble 9-month Georgia resident's opinion I think it's well worth a visit. read more

What can I say...... Liberty Tattoo did it AGAIN! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I stumbled upon this gem of a shop by chance. As fate would have it, I initially went to a tattoo shop a couple of blocks from Liberty, but when I walked into that shop, the feeling was less than warm, which was my queue to exit....fast. I got in my car and started driving. Luckily Liberty Tattoo was a few short blocks away. I pulled in the parking lot and said ok, let me try this again. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by not one, but 3 different people!! They were professional, friendly and kind. The service was fast yet efficient. I was in and out in less than an hour. So naturally, I went back to Liberty on New Year's Day to get my annual Tat. This time I took my son's girlfriend along as she wanted one too. When we pulled up, they were grilling outside, which I later found out is something they do every New Year's Day for the staff. Again, we were greeted with smiles by several people. Cassie was actually at the front desk. She was awesome! We told her what we wanted she went to the back for a brief moment and then two Artists came out to get further details. Michael was the Artist that did my son's girlfriend's tattoo and Shay (The owner) did mine. They were both patient, courteous and very professional. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing and most importantly, they enjoyed each other. Shay, the owner, kept telling all the Artists' to make sure to get some BBQ pork chops! It was awesome, made me smile with my heart. Because we live in such a Technology driven society, it's REALLY hard to get good (face to face) customer service, very rare, so when I encounter a place (besides Chic Fil A) where the customer service is extraordinary, I make it a point to let others know about it and I keep my money there. I will forever be a customer of Liberty Tattoo. ***THANK YOU SHAY AND LIBERTY TATTOO!!!! KEEP ON DOING WHATCHA DO!*** **UPDATE 2/25/17** Went back for another last weekend 2/18! Service STILL excellent. This go around, my Artist was Kacky, Shay's wife (hope I spelled that right). She was SUPER patient and professional. I added the new tat to photos. I love it! The only concern I have is that when I took bandage off, the letter i had some blurring surrounding the dot, a week later and it's still blurred. I'll let it heal completely and if it's still blurred, i'll go back. They are amazing and really stand behind their work, so whatever the end result, i'm sure it will be ALL GOOD! Thanks Kacky, it's just what I wanted! read more
