The minute I looked into Danny's portfolio, I knew it right away that THAT'S THE MAN! My consultation wasn't going to be until probably mid July but luckily someone else canceled on him so he was able to fit me in his schedule within a couple weeks of contacting him. My consultation with Danny went very well. He had initially asked if I wanted to come in right away but due to my work out of town, I know I wasn't going to be back in time. Danny was still willing to set up an appointment even after 8pm but I didn't want to give him my word and not make it. I was able to meet him two days later after work, which he was very flexible with me as well. Right the minute I entered his authentic, (very) clean studio, he was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable (like home). He's very straightforward in a professional manner and also respectful of your decisions. He will be leaving to Japan the month of June and was able to book me in immediately and was even very flexible with the dates & time with me too. Today, (a week after my consultation) I went in for my tattoo. The artwork turned out beautiful. I love it. It didn't hurt (at all) as I expected and I am dead afraid of needles. Danny chit-chatted with me the entire time - literally about everything and I just feel like we automatically click and like he was meant to be my artist. His pricing is very reasonable! Prior to meeting Danny, I had been looking all over the metro-Atlanta area for a tattoo artist who specializes in traditional Japanese style. I had consultation appointments at some of the most well-known shops in Atlanta; however, I just couldn't find the right artist for what I was looking for. I started considering tattoo shops in New York and California after not finding what I was looking for in Atlanta. Before Danny, I was honestly debating on going to California or maybe even Japan... Anywhere as long as I can find a tattoo artist that specializes in Traditional Japanese tattoos. It's not something or someone that you can easily come across in Atlanta. We met through a friend and I immediately wanted a consultation. He didn't have much flexibility in his schedule but took the time to schedule my consultation around my availability. (His customer service skills alone is five stars!) He took the time to draw out exactly what I had envisioned, and was patient enough to go back and make changes to all the minor details until I was 100% satisfied. One of the greatest feeling in the world is knowing that your art was drawn FOR YOU, not something that was searched off of Google. The tattooing process itself was about 14 hours. About six sessions total before I was done. All scheduled at my convenience. Danny had me sit through one session where he showed me how it felt to go through the Tebori technique, and gave me the option of finishing my tattoo in whichever technique I preferred. Definitely one of the hardest and longest tattoo I had to endure, but one of my proudest piece! His positive energy made every 2+ hour session go by super quick. Danny was the only artist I could find in the atl area that had actually studied and tattooed in Japan so of course, he has concrete credentials and a strong background in this style. I've been coming to him for the past 3yrs and he only continues to impress me. It's near impossible to find someone else who reaches his caliber of artistic skill and professionalism. His studio is incredibly clean and comfortable. He's laid back and easy to talk to. I've had over 5 sessions with him these past few years and the experience each time is phenomenal. The work he's done on me is clean and beautiful. I am fully satisfied with my current pieces and I will continue to go to Danny for more. Danny is amazing! SO far I had 4 pieces done by him well technically 3 I'm currently finishing up the 4th haha! I love the studio itself it's decorated well .. gives off a very calming atmosphere. So far everyone loved my pieces by him and I am constantly getting asked by friends and strangers who did my ink and of course I tell them Danny! I have gone to other studios and I personally like Danny the best because of the conversations we can carry that helps me tune out the annoying needle. He is talented and skilled. i got my first tattoo from danny and allowing him to do it was the best thing i could have ever done. I always wanted a traditional japanese tattoo but was always hesitant about getting one done around here in atlanta because i felt like there was not any one that was up to par in doing traditional japanese.
